    I very rarely comment on CZcams, so forgive me for any awkwardness. I watched this video and then a day later made a bracelet and earrings from your video. I just recently have started wire weaving, I mainly do bead weaving. When I finished I posted it up on my Facebook and got a huge response from the pieces I made. I want to thank you for your easy to understand instructions and the inspiration. I will continue to follow your channel. You do great work and are easy to watch and understand. thank you

    Hi Yvonne, I've had to retire early ( medical probs ) anyway I've been trying lots of different things to keep me busy and I've found what you've shown me to be very engaging and will be doing a lot more.
    I've seen a lot of your videos and the scope of your talent/inventiveness just blows me away, if I can get to 1/4 of what you can do, I will be happy. I'm in Australia so I have to source my wire from local suppliers but I will get there.
    Excellent, keep up the great work.

    Just wondering if you've done the herringbone wrap with square wire and how that works or if it does?
    I love your videos! You have the perfect approach to tutorials because, not only do you show how to do something "correctly", but you also show how to fix problems that will inevitably arise despite experience. It's also so wonderful to watch the creative process as you form each project.

I have a question about the wire as well, I know you said down below that after a few years the silver loses its color and goes back to copper...but does the copper-colored Parawire stay copper colored, or does it darken and tarnish eventually like regular copper does?

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  Před 7 lety

      Hey, sister! I am glad you found me :) Most of the hand pain I have isn't a result from crafting; just from being clumsy. I do a lot of stretches and hand and wrist strengthening exercises to keep the wear and tear from getting to me, but I am also still in my 20's so ask me again in 10 years :p I am sure its going to catch up with me eventually!

    • @magic1111
      @magic1111 Před 7 lety

      I have the clumsy down for sure. I believe I will see if I have waited too long for stretching and hand and wrist exercises to be beneficial. You'd be right to wonder why I hadn't thought of it myself. I will check with you in 10 years for sure.

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  Před 7 lety

      Hey, Rosa! I love parawire; I have found that it holds up exceptionally well. The only problem I have is after a few years the silver loses its color and goes back to copper; this hasn't happened to me in a while, and I am testing a few samples from their more current batches of wire to see how the silver plated silver holds up, but as far as the other enameled copper colors they are durable, easy to work with, and come in such a broad range of colors it can be hard to choose from :p

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  Před 5 lety

      Hey, Mary! Dead soft is full annealed, and is much softer than half hard wire: I like half hard wire for things like clasps and ear hooks, and prefer the deadsoft for the wires that are going to be moved around or sculpted a lot. I'm not sure what you mean by the oz of wire: the gauges I use the most are 16ga, 18ga, 20ga, 26ga, and 28ga. Here is a handy conversion chart from gauge to millimeter www.firemountaingems.com/resources/encyclobeadia/charts/6404
