  • Hi guys. Our Saturday video is ready for you. We enjoy making puzzles. This is our biggest project with 2000 pieces. It was fun to do it, also because the picture is very beautiful for home decoration. See what's happened when we noticed that one puzzle was missing. We have great solution and we are very happy with the result. Enjoy and have fun, with love DT Smile Love.

    Had this same idea! I’m missing pieces on a vintage puzzle, it’s a complicated image and I’m no artist. Using your phone and zooming in on the details is really helpful and id never have thought of it . 🙂

    Thank you so much! I was very sad when my puzzle was missing a piece as I bought it to later frame it and hang it and this has made me feel better as I have polymer clay already in my house! :)

    I had the same idea for fixing a missing piece in the puzzle I finished this week! It's fun that someone else has done it. Looks great, too! Also, I have that same fish puzzle! We did it last year, and it fortunately had all the pieces : )

    Thank you so much for this video! Soon I’m going to try that. It seems that I will have a missing piece in the 2000 piece puzzle I’m working on.

    If you put the whole thing into the refrigerator for a couple minutes to harden clay the pieces would come off a lot easier but thank you so much for this I’m going to use this

    Thanks for the video. I did not have putty, so I used chewing gum...of course after it was chewed and it worked perfect. Thanks for the idea!

    I tried this with polymer clay from Kmart, but the clay stuck to the glass underneath it... put a layer of greaseproof paper on top of the glass, but it stuck to that too. Using a glass as a roller, it stuck to that as well!! 😫🤔 I sprinkled baking soda top and bottom, no more sticking 🥳. You could also use baby powder or corn starch.

    The pieces should be FACE DOWN on a hard flat surface. Tape them with scotch tape. Now stuff the hole with the putty. Wait a day. The surface will be automatically flat. And just flick away thin excess.

    Thank you soooo much for this. I never in a million years would have though to use clay. As an alternative to painting, you may also be able to scan the box, size the missing piece, and print it out on shiny paper.

    Beautiful job!! I slide a piece of cardboard under the "hole," trace around the missing piece, remove cardboard, color and cut out carefully. Not at all as perfect as yours but it's better than a missing piece.

    Why don’t you just print a piece of the picture and glue it to the piece you just made? Maybe that will help those that don’t paint well. Thanks for the video.

      When I did a new puzzle piece I did not worry about exact duplication of the image in that spot. I used acrilic and dabbed on a rough representation of the coloring in the area. and your eye could not perceive it from s few feet away. I had to look for that new piece.

    How long should you leave the puzzle pieces in the fridge before you disassemble it?

    • @DTSmileLove
      @DTSmileLove  Před 4 lety +2

      Until it gets hard so about 1 hour or you can check it in half an hour.

    Why not just start with less than required and add more?
    And most companies will send replacement pieces.
