    I would pick the regular ZR2 cause it would drive me nuts with that giant spare tire blocking most of my rear view!

      I just bought a Bison, I hear the spare can fit underneath and will check that out, regardless I’m getting a hard tonneau cover so if it doesn’t fit under the truck in the stock location I will just lay it flat in the bed.

      @xijinpooh8534 there's no issue's with the engine. The issue's they've been having is dead battery. So i guess their working on a fix for that but besides that do far it's been pretty good from what i hear.

    What's the price difference? I'd pay extra for the Bison IF they don't price it into Ranger Raptor territory since it DOESN'T have an engine upgrade. If it's too much, I'll just get a lift and larger fender flares and fenderwell to clear 35's, and skidplates for the gas tanks and rear diff.

    • @briankec1352
      @briankec1352 Před 11 měsíci +1

      You can fit 315 70 r17 on a 2023 ZR2 with a leveling 1in kit.

    • @kx8960
      @kx8960 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@briankec1352 Good to know, thanks! Don't really want a leveling kit, because the rear SHOULD ride higher for load and towing reasons, but if I can get away with just a 1" or 2" max lift, and fit 35's on it. That's as big as I want to go. I'm not into building my daily driver into a dedicated rock crawler, I just would like a little more clearance and I definitely want skidplates to protect the tank and rear diff. What I might do is get cheap steel wheels and more "road-y" tires for driving to work (beetter MPG, longer lasting, and cheaper) and then just swap them out when I want to get dirty. Thanks again!

    • @chriskolaska897
      @chriskolaska897 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@kx8960I'm thinking it's gonna be priced in the 60's range since the ZR2 is like what 54 or 55k.

    • @kx8960
      @kx8960 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@chriskolaska897 Yeah, I keep waiting for them to give firm numbers, but... What they should do is offer some of the parts. All I want is the lift and fender flares/wells that allow legit 35's, and a skidplate for the tank and diff, that's it. Don't need the extra jounce absorbers/shocks.

    • @chriskolaska897
      @chriskolaska897 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @kx8960 yea i feel you man then really just get the trail boss or ZR2 then just order the skid plates. That'll definitely be cheaper than buying the bison.

      Practically all are. Sign of the times. Even the 6-speed manual in the upcoming Tacoma is very limited in its availability across the lineup.
