Dude. One of the best I’ve ever seen. Super impressive paint job and you recorded it! I commend you for all those sub assemblies. And the diorama at the end was amazing! Worthy of a Primarch!
Lovely job, I'd be more than happy with that standard. Will add the Lion to my DA collection soonish, and will be referring back to this guide. Cheers from the UK
Nice thinking with the magnet! I was scratching my head on how i should work around it without having to reglue the halo every time. Now all that's left is to find a tiny magnet to put them in!
Thanks, but since completing this, I saw a conversion where the curved part of the halo base is clipped, allowing it to stand upright on the backpack, instead of leaning forward. Doing this lets you simply glue the halo on permanently, and it doesn't interfere with any of the heads included in the kit. Do that instead!
Im going to Japan agian next year, and definitely adding the new WH store to my list! The last time I went back in 2019, I wasnt even in the hobby. However, I did walk into a WH store in Shibuya I believe for fun as I wasnt even aware WH had stores. I just figured it was one of the 100's of themed cafe's throughout Japan, and didnt realize it was an official licensed shop haha. I know doubt will be visiting Akihabara multiple times while there so looking forward to any exclusives and hard to find sets at the store. And omg yes Akihabara is a nerds paradise!!! Im very certain its the largest culmination of nerd shops in the world haha. And it always surprises me at just how much they adore American nerd culture as much as we do with IP's like Star Wars, trasnformers, and Marvel to name a few
Love your stuff, Im wondering, as a person who loves japan and hopes to move to Japan in due time, what do you work with? How is playing warhammer in Japan?
What do you mean by, "What do you work with"? Are you asking me what my Career is? Playing warhammer in Japan is pretty much like anywhere else. I play mostly with other expats, as my japanese isn't conversational enough yet.
The model. the clip can just be jammed into the cork and it will friction fit. Superglue the end that goes into the model and you can simply twist it off when you're done. (superglue doesn't like torsion force, and gives easily)
Wow, this video was such a fun watch. It's starting to convince me to start Dark Angels AND get an airbrush.
Nicely done!
Love this channel, its growing nicely. As always excellent job all round. The Lion looking triumphant!
Thanks! The Lion's guard are up next!

Congrats on #20. Great work. The Lion looks amazing! Enjoy the experience.
Looks great! And it's great to be back with the thunder hammer.
I guess the unhelmeted heads will show up on the discord? ;)
But of course!
Glorious job! 20 videos in and they're only getting better!
Thank you! Ever forward!

Awesome video !! I LOVE the final reveal !! and OMG... the Warhammer Store in Japan are amazing !!
Yeah, that flagship shop in Akihabara is pretty great.
Beautiful work!
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks great, man! Now I know where the world's paint supply is hiding.
It's crazy, right? When I saw the wall of paint I actually gasped.
Amazing. Greatest painting skill
Thanks. It's not going to win any contests, but it's certainly the longest I've spent on a model!
Outstanding paint job!
thank you!

Have had the chance to go to the cafe a few times now, and it's definitely a don't-miss stop in Akihabara!
Cool!!! Nice job!!!
Thanks!
Awesome work, man!

What airbrush do you use? I want to up my game and yours seemed to come out very crisp!
Thanks. Honestly, it's a just a badger Sotar 20/20. A low to mid end brush that I got on sale on amazon!
@The Hammer of Wrath Anything is probably better than the generic one I got with the compressor. I'll check it out, thanks!
Hey Tripp do you super glue the paper clip to the cork or the model

@@thehammerofwrath Tripp I really appreciate you answering all my questions and has soon as I can I am gonna join your patreon
@@stephendoest5817 No worries!
What are good size cork tops to get
Cork tops?
Or the cork that you use for piecing out him I thought they were wine cork tops
@@stephendoest5817 Oh yeah, those are just old wine corks.
"Gradients only possible with that tool". Strongly disagree. An airbrush is not required to get smooth gradients.
Perhaps, "possible quickly and easily" would have been a better phrase. But glazing? Oof, I've done that and it is PAINSTAKING!
