Simala Parish Church, Sibonga, in Cebu is known as Simala Shrine, Simala Church, Mother Mary Castle Church, Birhen sa Simala, Mama Mary Shrine of Simala, and Miraculous Mama Mary Church.
Its real name is Monastery of the Holy Eucharist, and although it’s not the oldest Church or the Holiest Church in Cebu, it’s one of the most well known and most visited new Churches in Cebu. For believers, Simala Church is said to be a solemn place to reflect, and a visit will give your life more perspective.
Described by many as one of the most beautiful Churches in Cebu, Simala Shrine is a place of pilgrimage for devotees. Known as the Miraculous Mother Mary Church after the Virgin Mary statue housed within the Shrine was seen crying, it attracts hundreds of people every day hoping their prayers will be answered. If Catholic rely was Christian and follow the Bible they should know that we shall NOT Pray to Mary or other items statues painting or what ever we shall pray to God and Jesus Christ...Jesus told us to Pray father our in Heaven hollow they name....Whit all respect yo Mary Mother of our Lord king and savior Jesus Christ but again we shall not pray to here,,,When people Clame they have seen Mary on many different places so NO..Mary was only a Woman a Human who gave birth to Jesus nothing els Bless here....How come Catholic never listen never care even they are wrong and follow wrong faith?...If all catholic would study the Bible and the right word from God and Jesus they would not have that faith or pray to Mary....Nore shall any one pray to the Pope or belive in him or that he is something special no he is only a Human nothing els..Many Catholic have left there faith when they understand this faith is wrong...Ask your self what is the right way to Heaven and God? @Ortodox Protestant...You don't understand Catholic because you were never a Catholic yourself. Catholics never pray to Mama Mary or any other holy saints. Moreover, we never idolize the statues. So be ashamed of yourself for judging others without even understanding how others pray. Catholics never judge other people of different beliefs. But protestants, like you, are very quick to judge others. So does your faith teach you to judge others? Does your faith teach you to look down at others? If you are a Christian yourself, have you followed Christ's teachings?
