WDYS written and composed by Jeff is an OST for KinnPorsche (KP) the series which he starred in as well. Barcode was his partner in the series and hence why he was featured in the MV. After the massive hit of KP the cast did a world tour in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand etc. Jeff is mixed Thai-Chinese but also has Italian and Indian from his father’s side. 'Why don't you stay' was originally written in Thai....as an OST for a show Jeff was in named KinnPorsche. The person on stage with him is his onscreen partner named Barcode. Jeff played a character named Kim, and Barcode played a character named Chay, and the two were young lovers in the show. The 'world tour' was a tour the entire KinnPorsche cast were on between filming Season 1 and a planned Season 2 (which got cancelled. The song is about Kim (Jeff) asking Chay (Barcode) why they didn't end up together.......which is the reason you see them together in the video. As for why he is singing this in English.......it has something to do with the world tour, but if you also know the words to the original Thai version, you see that some of the lyrics are different, probably meaning that the Thai version is more from the POV of one person, while the English version is more from another. As for songs of Jeff to do next........if you want something very different to his ballads.........he has two .......one is named 'Black Tie' which is English. The other is named 'Dum Dum' which he has two versions of, the original MV in Thai, and an English version called the 'unchained version'
There are light spoilers to the series KinnPorsche, if anyone is looking to watch this show please be advised. This is touching on Barcode Tinnasit(the younger man) and Jeff's characters' relationship in the series. They were a secondary couple, Kimhan (Jeff) is the third son to a Syndicate family and Chay (Barcode) is the second son to a "Commoner" family. Essentially Kim lives a double-life as a musician called Wik and Chay is one of his biggest fans. Chay also is the younger brother of a man that Kim's older brother falls for within the series. (If that's confusing essentially Kim's older brother Kinn is in love with Chay's older brother Porsche. Thus KinnPorsche.) At the end, it's not happy and KimChay go their separate ways. KinnPorsche's second series was considered but due to bts issues, it's not in the works, so the only way to rekindle and put a different ending to KimChay was through the show's live tour. So Why Don't You Stay pertains to that. It's not a theme song but it is an integral part of the KP OST. Barcode is also a young rising star, Jeff still calls him his partner. Barcode has a song called No More Dream that Jeff produced and Barcode wrote. Actually today, Barcode and Jeff were announced to be main characters together in a series produced by Jeff Satur coming soon called Happy Ending. So today is a big win lmao.
