- I just recently sold my last car which was an ecoboost mustang to upgrade to this beast of a car. Come with me on this trip to picking it up and seeing it for the first time! So glad I was able to get the options I wanted and before Dodge decided to can the Hemi-powered chargers and challengers.

I got the car below MSRP at $61,000 for those that are wondering. Sticker was $63,405 at time of order.
Honestly, that's a lot for a 392.

they always give you 2,000 off to make it look like a good deal when really its not , they did the same for me but then sold me a bunch of protection plans I probly wont ever use cause im actually a responsible car owner and am not trying to leave my car at the dealership to be worked on by strangers for a whole week

You are going to absolutely love this car. Bought my 2021 widebody scatpack octane red automatic loaded except for no sunroof and no rain sensitive wipers. Got it off the showroom floor in San Antonio for $56,000 out the door including taxes.
It’s hard not to love it, these cars get quite a bit of attention on the street.
Congratulations on your new scat pack. You did well by getting your hands on one. Many who ordered 2022 scats and cats earlier this year are still waiting and here we are almost in 2023. It's going to be crazy next year.
It ended up working out perfectly for my situation. I just paid off the ecoboost and I had a small window to place that order. At that time too, Dodge didn’t announce that they were discontinuing the Hemis, it was still a mystery and going til at least 2024 in everyone’s minds.
Congrats on the purchase of your '22 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker Widebody...and welcome to the Dodge Brotherhood of Muscle. Nicely optioned Scat (Shaker Pkg., Driver's Conv. Pkg., Plus Pkg., Harmon Kardon) and rowing your own gears with the 6-speed manual trans. is definitely fun. I had the 6-speed manual in my previous Challenger ('17 T/A) and it was fun.
Maintain her right, keep your warranty intact; use the SRT Oil Filter and the SRT Specified Oil available at the parts dept. at Dodge Dealers and change it every 6 months or 6K miles (whichever occurs first)...I have my Dodge Dealer perform this on my '21 Scat. My advice is to not touch, change the Tune in the ECM (or put in an unlocked ECM) while under warranty or if registered in Ca. Enjoy!

Mods/upgrades: Magnaflow Xmod 3" 304 stainless steel exhaust system; Sto-N-Go Front License Plate Kit; Hellcat Lower Air Box with functional tube (ram air) inboard driver's side headlamp opening. I average right around 13-14 mpg average in town, and 24-25 mpg highway (best ever of 25.5 mpg highway round trip, Hawthorne to Palm Springs & back).
Do you think it would fail smog 5 years from now with a tune and new PCM?
@@gilsgarageofficial Yes, fail, because the new Smog Testing method (as of July 2022) scans the ECM software and if it's not C.A.R.B. certified, it's an automatic fail, even though the tailpipe sniffer results are good. Plus it voids the factory warranty. Hopefully soon, Dodge will have C.A.R.B. Certified Stage Packages for Scat Packs.

I basically just did the same thing. Last month I traded a 2020 Mustang GT for a 2022 Charger Scat Pack. Being a boomer and over 6 ft, it was the best thing I ever did. The tires of the Charger chirp without even trying. The Mustang never did that. I made the move because the Hemi V-8's are going away.
These cars have steadily been rising in price! Just imagine when they stop production

I special ordered a 2022 Challenger Scat Pack widebody, granite color with a 6speed and the hemi orange package. I got the Harmon Kardon system in it and it sounds great for a factory system. I love my challenger and its the only one like it in my city. I get compliments on it all the time.
Dude those Hemi orange packages are sick! I love the orange accents they put all over the car.
@GilGarage ya I agree. The shifter boot didn't come with the orange stitching. I proved to my dealership it was supposed to have it and they took it up with Dodge and they ended up specially making me a boot with orange stitching. It looks much better now with it.

I got the exact same package and the same options. Special Ordered mine as well. I think the only differences (Other than color) is that yours has Nav and mine has Summer Tires and Strut Tower Brace. I absolutely love the car though.
I wonder if those braces make a difference, have you had a scat without them?

But in all seriousness these are supposed to be the best road handing Challengers ever built (After doing research I found out that the Scat Challenger WB underpinnings were specifically engineered and tuned by SRT to take advantage of the lighter weight and better weight balance), a true Driver's musclecar. I figured why not get every single handing option I could tick?
All these challengers rt and above are gonna go up in value after 2023 maybe like the rx7 what a car these challengers are

@@gilsgarageofficial There's no way to describe it. You have to drive them to know the reality. The Redeye is completely sick.
797hp and if you're going, say, 65, and you hit it hard, your stomach will be in your nostrils. The TRX, while only 702hp, still puts your belly in your throat. And she's so smooth and relatively quiet on the road. I could drive her from Ohio (I live near Akron) to Florida and never have to stop. In fact, I AM taking her to Florida in March. I always go down to Florida for 2 weeks in March and all I do is go to car shows and the Turkey Run at Daytona Speedway. That's about 4000 cars.
Anyway, dude, I love your scatpack shaker. That is really an amazing ride in every way....and the mango orange was definitely the way to go. I traded my 2016 go mango hellcat challenger (and a 392 charger) for my Redeye and I miss my challenger so much.
@@gilsgarageofficial Update! I just bought a 2022 Challenger Scatpack Shakedown edition. TorRed, 6 speed, sunroof, houndstooth seats. So I got my Challenger back! It's not a widebody but honestly, I didn't want it. I saved at least 15K and still got a 392 that looks amazing. Hope you are really enjoying yours!

Scat Pack remote sticker is clutch.
In one of my newer shorts, I replaced it with a full fob cover. It’s not as subtle.

I'm taking delivery of my Shaker 6 spd in White Knuckle, hopefully tomorrow. Even if you got it at sticker, you got a good deal. Around here, Scat Pack and Hellcat models are going for 5k to 20k over sticker.
It’s a great car to drive, these cars get a lot of attention. They are worth every penny as long as you’re happy with it!
@@gilsgarageofficial I work at a dealership so I just ordered mine. I'm trading my 50th Scat narrow body for it. I had to pick up a customer from the airport in the 6spd he was buying. That settled it for me. The Shaker on the Widebody is an amazing look. Add the 3:90 rear gear in the 6spd, it's simply perfect.
Nice! The 50th edition is great if you wanted to collect it. Now that the hemis are going away though, I expect these cars to start holding and even increasing in value after 2023.
@@gilsgarageofficial Yeah, I do love the 50th package. I don't think mine would as collectable as the special edition with the High Impact color. In the long run, the widebody and shaker will probably draw more. The 6spd is yet to be seen, but there guys like me that would look for and wide to get one.
Edit, I do buy cars to drive them though. Collectability is not really a major concern.
They got the carbon fiber wrap for car interior for like 15$ and then pre wrapped interior parts for us mopar boys on Amazon for like $45 each way cheaper than the factory Bull.

I bought mine used. Not a 392 but it's the 5.7 rt shaker. I flew out to Georgia from Florida and everything was good so I bought it and drove it 7hrs back home. Got it 25k otd with only 74k miles on it
How has it been so far, any issues nearing the 100k mark?
@Gil’s Garage so far so good. It's been almost a month and a half since I bought it. Only complaint would be that dam skip shift on the manual transmissions but I bought the eliminator so no more issues with that

So what I did was deck out exactly how I wanted it on Dodge’s website and since the dealer was a bit farther, I got in contact with the sales manager and sent him my build link that you can save at the bottom when you’re finished. If they can’t order a specific option, they’ll let you know.
I’m about to buy the same car in the GA area. I’m so excited right now.. I haven’t found one yet but my cash is good. I may pay cash but it has to be a Scat Pack Wide Body Shaker not in Hell Raisin purple or Sinamon stick. I want white or green.

I ordered a 2ss Camaro but wondering if I should get a challenger instead. I like the roomier interior and retro looks. I’ll probably just stick to the Camaro though since they’re not as common.
Funny I was actually building a camaro during my challenger’s order and spec’d it out how I’d want it. In the end I chose the challenger because of the heritage feel, roomy interior and the widebody is to kill for!
Either way I know you’ll love your car because both are amazing.
Camaro is not common because no one wants them , challenger outsold them by a great number

What is skip shift
At a certain speed it makes the car go from 1st gear to 4th gear. It doesn’t happen that much but when it does, it is annoying. Luckily they make a delete for that though.
My question for you , did you have this car built for you. Also did you originally go to this dealership when looking for a Scat Pack Challenger, or found this car online first?

Hi, yes I had the car spec’d out on dodges build and price website. Then I got in touch with a sales rep at a dealership to place my order. I looked all over online and apps for this car in my exact spec I wanted but never found it, that’s why I placed the order. There are many widebodys out there though!

@@gilsgarageofficial yes sir the shakedown pitch black 500 will be made in that color and 500 in Destroer gray. So yeah probably gonna be around 85 or 90K since they might do a slight mark up from msrp would be 70K. But worth every penny value will definitely go up as years pass.

@@Map12784 they will 100% still try and put stuff on the order contract even after you tell them no. Just be stern and make sure you don’t sign the papers unless it looks correct.

i'm going to the dealership on days off, order mine nickle color even if it takes months, trading in my sxt plus before they discard them for good. i refused to buy a used one from someone else.

Sticks are fun, and cooler just don't get stuck in traffic, don't know if I would want one for a daily driver. Automatics are faster, auto's shift faster then you can manually.
@@Mikedude8462 if you want automatic, buy a van, muscle can not be anything but manual. the muscle cars are being destroyed by those who shouldnt have one for lack of skills, and the car company to sell cars, they put stupid things like shift flaps on steering wheel, guided shifter, and automatic transmission to accommodate these people . automatic are faster? automatic is automatic, which means you have no option to allow rpm to go as high as 8000. get stuck in traffic? that a talk of someone who shouldnt be on muscle car, traffic is where i like to drive manual, manual is better on street and traffic, make that thing sound great and use my skills. i love traffic while driving manual, have my car on first gear, going back and forward, loud muffler. stay away from muscle cars. are you those who even consider buying an EV? if automatic muscle cars makes me vomit, imagine EV aka no imagination spinner. thanks to you, we even have grandmas with muscle cars, because many of them have automatic transmissions.
