  • A message from Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall, supporting Silver Sunday, the National Day for Older People.
Silver Sunday is a national day of fun & free activities celebrating older people which takes place on the first Sunday in October. It is a special day when everyone can come together, where older people feel valued and are given new opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends and connect with the communities and generations around them.
This year Silver Sunday takes place on Sunday 4th October 2020. Find out more at www.silversunday.org.uk

Love the flowers. I would have probably chose the same colors. Maybe added a bit of baby blue.

I support the sentiments put forward by Her Royal Highness. Yes it was scripted but someone had to put this script together and I would hope Her Royal Highness had a good input in this.. Being an older person myself, you do have to make the effort to make contact with the outside world, either phoning family and friends, or if still active join clubs, so much can be done to avoid the hardship of being alone, but it does take effort and determination. my advice to all you oldies out there, stop dwelling on loneliness but reach out to others be busy talking

Nice message..but it is too obvious she is reading it from a screen. It would be nice if she had said few words coming from her heart in a more spontaneous way! It is also cruel not to visit the elderly. I thank God my Parents are sorounded my by brothers and family in Spain and are not isolated in homes
