I live in north springdale, woke in the middle of the night and there was soooooo much lightning, I was thinking, "there's no way this is not man-made", and then fell back asleep.

These storms seem to be targeting the same states because are the same states that are hit most frequently by tornadoes. That total number of states is at least a dozen states including Nebraska south to Texas and east a few hundred miles. That's a lot of states that are getting hit repeatedly. This is the second most active tornado season on record so far.
