Where desert meets the sea, mangroves can help create habitat.
    This is brilliant.

Admittedly, this is a laudable effort by UAE government. While it may have been fairly easy to buy a European journalist to do an infomercial, it does not take away from the fact that UAE is directly responsible for pumping millions of barrels worth of CO2 into the atmosphere every year.

It's natural in AD and it was preserved a long time ago. AD cares alot about nature, including the desert here. Fun fact most of AD is not even built espcially in natural areas.

@@mydogsteppedona4431 majority of deserts in the world are not natural but human made. A small part of UAE remaining desert is fine but every country should target that desert does not exceed 20% of it's total area. In big countries like China even 20% is too much and it should be at 5-10%. Greening the country is important for cooling the Eco-System. Especially in countries like UAE.

Mangroves are a good solution for UAE after that they can try to green the inside of the country too like China did.
