The video is unlisted, yet it appeared in my recommendation feed. Weird.

This stream is over but I only now have a courage to ask: What about Overwatch from CS:GO/future CS2? Human moderation is great but how many people would be okay to just sitting and watching to entire server? Adding Overwatch as alternative to text description of report reason and new tool of community moderation would help especially considering that you could ban bots/hackers post factum which we can't do in this moment. Also Demos would get more attention as side effect. Was it argued on stream? I left because it was too late in my timezone.

What if every time you die in game the server sends a heavy calculation homework to the client, which can easily be solved by low end PCs, but harder for botnets with thousands of bots. The only problem is that this could create lag spikes for real players, which is why it would only be done when you die in game. Sadly, bots don't really die that much so I don't know how much of an impact this would really have.

The Orange Box/SteamPipe branch of the Source engine (which TF2 uses) is the new IE 6!

31:17 Don't know how true this is regarding VAC. It clearly does more, see AMD Anti-Lag false positives. Besides Russian hackers in Dota get banned all the time, despite the fact that their hacks constantly get updated (meaning new exe signature).
56:50 Also don't know if it's really accurate to say trust factor "bins" people into groups. The details read more like it's a secondary ELO rating. If implemented right, it shouldn't condemn new players to bot lobbies.

i was simplifying a lot to get points across, since it's a livestream i don't have time to go fact check all the details i vaguely remember. i also did reply to someone who said that vac does more, which i agreed but it wasn't relevant to the point i was trying to make
trust factor thing i'd have to go back and look at the talk that was done but i don't think anyone truly has any great idea of what trust factor does and doesn't do

Here's my hot take: Valve cannot make the game worse than it already is if Fix TF2 actually reaches their ears. It's already ruined. They may as well try something, however band-aid-y.
