Congrats on your marriage Peter. My wife is Ukrainian too. We should grab a coffee next time I'm in Kyiv.

That house on the coast with the unreal ocean view! Is where they filmed some of the footage from a Old Clint Eastwood movie called "Play Misty for Me " 1971
Russian, French Fur Traders left their stamp in NorCal. The Spanish and Russian Empires touched in Cali
My aunt lives in a town called Sebastopol (near Santa Rosa) which of course you guessed it named after that Russian/Ukrainian Crimean city Sevastopol.
I liked that town, and the old Russian settlements up the coast. An important and overlooked part of United States History. What a deal we got!
I’ve been to every nation state in Europe, even the micro ones, besides San Marino, and everywhere I went, people would assume I’m an american, because of my popular-culture mimicked accent, and are always surprised to know that I’m an Arab from Abu Dhabi, and that I have never been to the US before. This video showcases the beauty of California as a state, and how diverse it is, rather than the stereotypical images we see from LA & SF. There is so much more to see, and if I ever make it to California, I would love to move around the state itself, rather than confine myself to LA or SF, or even San Diego.
Cool video, beautiful scenery! I wish you and your wife, nothing short of utmost bliss.
Thanks, Khalid! Yes definitely rent a car some time and go north of SF. These places aren't the most exciting since there is such a low population density but they are beautiful and magical.
I mean, San Diego Zoo is world class, I'd atleast see that. Other than that yea, I'm skipping LA or SF.
Well it is the Russia River, also fort ross was a Russia fort originally
Peter I’ve been to California 4 times, I fly into San Francisco hire a car and drive along the coastline stoping and staying in different parts along the way and fly back from LA to London where I live, next time I’ll be visiting some of theses beautiful places you are showing us 👍🏼😃
Nice! You've got it figured out :)
Thank you, Peter! My dream was to see the world that will not happen but watching your video story you told the story of people's culture that I did not know. Look forward to more videos about the USA.
Don’t tell Bald & Bankrupt about this place he’ll be there in a flash
Did somebody say Russian???
I love how you always focus on the good side in everything. Hope you and your loved ones stay healthy and happy 🇸🇦
Another great stream ,keep it up making some great content
hello from Oregon. Ok..you got me scratching my head because not only I love history and knows about Russia used to OWN Alaska but I never heard of Russian settlements in Calif. I'm 58 yrs old and we learn alot about the different cultures and history in Calif. Russian was NOT mention. This is cool and thank you for sharing this cool history.
I been there about 3 times , when I drove from Seattle to San Francisco & LA , also I spent good time in Del Norte county & crescent 🌙 city , right between Oregon & California. Be safe & Blessings from the Sonoran Desert 🌵 Mexico
You're doing a great job telling this stories, Peter. Thank you very much! People's diplomacy like this sometimes could be even more effective than an traditional state's diplomacy.
So nice man. Love your style. Just by the intro I can tell its gonna be goood. Thanks for sharing and welcome home.
I am impressed about the early influences of the Russians. Wow!
Yeah and there is a lot I forgot to mention too like we were right next to the Russian River. But a very cool history in that region.
America really is a mixing pot of everything

Being from Northern California, you showed me some areas ive never been to. Love your videos, and you hit the jackpot with Nana!
It’s a lot beautiful areas by the Historic 101 Hwy .all the way from Baja thru Olympia WA . Greetings from the Sonoran Desert 🌵 Mexico
I've never been to Cali. People say they're moving out to other States, expensive living, homelessness etc..but it is so beautiful ❤️
California is a paradise, but we have awful government. The new breed of Democrats have destroyed this state. Our governor is corrupt, incompetent and a hypocrite. Fortunately it looks like he may be kicked out of office with a recall petition. And yes, the cost of living here is absurd. I could own four houses in most of the country for what my house is worth in San Diego.
Yes we are..Lol
@@theonlyonestanding8079 They are bribed but a lot of the horrible stuff they do is to ensure they keep themselves in power so that they can be bribed and make millions.

Fantastic playlist.
I have been in California 3 times. But the last time was in 1999.
Now i want to go back.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, those concrete structures which you can find all over the coastlines around San Francisco and the Marin headlands are actually from World War 2, they were Naval Gun emplacements to protect the San Francisco Bay Area from possible Japanese attack and or invasion. The missile sites you were referring to are the old cold war Nike missile batteries. There were 11 installations on the coast and the 2 closet to San Francisco are Pacifica and Mill Valley.
That sunset at the end was beautiful, recently i stayed at the largsbay pier hotel in south australia, and the sunset their was just as beautiful, it is an emotional experience to see over the ocean.
I love Ukraine people they are like Polish people, hard working, very clever, they always find a way, polite. Very good people, wish them all the best!
Great and interesting video as always, Peter! 👍
Much appreciated Haakon!
Interesting video, I get that feeling of discovery you have when you left a familiar place for something different and come back to it. You have that outsider perspective where you see things as if it was for the first time. It fades out as you get used to it.
Nice way to rediscover places you like and discover new ones with your girlfriend and taking us for the ride.
I'm watching this from Locust Grove, VA. I enjoy this series very much. I am very inspired. and your wife is so beautiful, wish you guys nothing but the best and prosperity 🙏

Woooow I lived in SoCal most my life before moving to Utah and never laid eyes on NorCal. So cool I need to go and see for myself
the best thing here is it reminds me of all of these places which we went and visited alot of times pre covid. We almost got a house in Nevada City but the Covid delayed our plans. Hiway 1, the Tahoe to SF, thanks for bringing back memories, show her Big Sur and the seals!- Bay Area resident
I love watching your tours! So much fun! This one is special for me! My parents took our family out west in 1977! We went on alot of the roads u traveled during this trip! We went from the coast from Portland Oregon down the coast to San Fran! So I really enjoyed this ride! Also your wife is so beautiful just love u both
Hello Peter! I wish you Good Luck with all your New Creations!
Who doesn't love California? OMG nostalgia, I was a student there.
That military site was likely part of Forts Baker, Barry, and Cronkhite-coastal defense artillery sites.. There were a number of coastal defense batteries built in the late 1800's and early 1900's, long before the Cold War. They used large artillery cannons that could destroy enemy naval forces. They defended the area against a feared Japanese invasion during WW2. By the time the Cold War started, these sites were obsolescent.
Dude. Been watching your videos for a while now...from Sea Ranch! you finally got here!! love it matey! welcome!
Stayed 2 weeks at Sea Ranch years ago...Beautiful spot.
I took a walk up Marin Headlands in 2006 - fantastic memories.

Hello from Sacramento - we have a HUGE Ukranian emigre community - big enough to host lots of refuge Ukranians who fled with Putin invaded. The terrain of the opening footage made me think it was in Monterrey - close but south of Monterrey. Really cool planned community and is far nicer than the gated planned communities all over California - they are all very sterile, like styrofoam - but this one is really beautiful. Probably back in 1962 when it was built a 3 bedroom was $8,000 - now it is probably several million!
Great quality content
Love this series

What a nice nostalgia and memories I have about SF after seen this video. I totaly agree with Peters opinion that SF is a unique mix of a nature and urban city. But oh my god it's so expensive :)
I love the story about the painting of the bridge! I'm 44 now, when I was very young, my parents divorced, and for a while we were in the San Francisco area. My dad worked for a painter who almost got the contract to paint the bridge. My life would be very different now if that had actually occurred. Grew up in Illinois instead.
Such an awesome place with an amazing guy love and lots of respect from Karachi Pakistan for my sweetest brother

It's nice to see how solid the buildings look like and how well preserved they are. When it comes to making things I noticed Russians and Americans make things very durable and cost effective. Just my personal opinion. But I like Americans and American things a lot more. Thanks for sharing, Peter. Greetings from Romania.
in the 1950's maybe, neither country lives by it's own creed anymore. America has an advantage because they can print an infinite amount of money but it's badly mismanaged and doesn't benefit the population.

I can't believe you didn't spotlight on the sea ranch chapel. Such a super cool building
Eucalyptus trees should never have been introduced to other lands other than the swampy one's these things can destroy the water tables sucking hundreds of gallons each day, I remember so many natural springs in my village in a hilly area in the North of Pakistan which has turned almost into an arid land because of these trees introduced by an NGO 30 years ago in the name of forestation because they grow like weed without the trouble of initial care
There is so much history in california. Its been through a lot in past I guess.
Simply stunning views
In the central valley we have gained many new neighbors fleeing the bay area.
I live in the UK now (for the last 21 years) but I am originally from Guerneville (about 25 miles east on Hwy 116) from there! Havent been back to Sonoma County in over 20 years. I miss it badly! That whole stretch of coast from Bodega up to Timber Cove was my stomping grounds growing up! I have probably fished every beach and cove along that stretch of Highway 1!
Thanks Peter!

The new order has some degree of acceptance of technology and the men even have the option to leave their community at age 16, I believe.
