I really love the props and what they were able to pull off. But I wish the flashes of light were longer so I could actually see their hard work
I wonder what percentage of riders leave that ride with hearing loss lol.
Right? XD
And whiplash.
WWWWWHHHHHAHAAAAAATTTTTTTTT???!!!!
CardNGold ikr it’s total chaos in there.
Prob 99%
Whistles and buzzers. This ride sends real mixed signals to sports fans.
Wendish1971 not to mention everything was so mixed matched in there I was totally confused
Lol
Also beepers

@@lukemanor3613 this deserves a medal
Wow ur haunted mansion at home is trash
@@jangnan4145 so are you
jennifer not as trash as that comeback you just made
Is this a gym class? Why are there so many whistle and buzzer noises? XD
Elizabeth H it could be XD
Yeah I was thinking they had the football game turned up way too loud :D
Well I don’t know about you, but gym class was definitely the scariest class when I was a kid.
The gym teachers dead grandma is there
@@ktoon4725 Too true
Appreciate it for what it is guys. Old-school dark ride that costs under 2 bucks to go on. Knoebels is free admission, great for a budget trip. It's a great little park✌️
I think it’s $2.50 to ride.
I doubt any of the critics have actually rode this in person. The video just doesn't capture the charm of the ride, and it definitely doesn't capture the feeling of riding this as a young child for the first time
I stay in the campground every year
Nostalgic and fun. I wish there were more of them.
This is such a great ride. I love it as much as the one at Disney, as "blasphemous" as that may be. What doesn't really show up in the video is how dark it is in there... and how sudden and close the gags are when they trigger. It's legitimately startling at times.
If you listen closely at certain points in the ride, you can actually hear Thrilling, Chilling Sounds of the Haunted House by Disney LOL
This video brought me back so many memories of me and my wife, she loved this ride. Me and her got on it like 10 times one time. She passed away last year, I miss her so much. We had great times. Why is life so unfair ??
I remember this ride like petrified me as a kid, and I haven’t gone on it in years. But the strange part is that I was the most scared of something that wasn’t even in the ride itself. Like I legit misremembered a giant omnipotent face taking up an entire wall near the end of the ride and that was why I refused to go on it on subsequent visits for years
wasnt just you! i also vaguely remember that on the ride, maybe they got rid of it? theyre known to tweak the haunted house a bit.
I remember that too, I was actually looking for it
Well-maintained and way above average pretzel dark ride...I think just the right amount of chintzy.
This is a little better than the dark rides they drag around state fairs; nice duration for $2.50 The couple of dark rides at Santa Cruz are pretty good too, love the cave train.
The scenes are so briefly lit there’s no time to see any detail or get even a full impression of what you’re seeing!
It convinces you to ride it again
I remember being like 5 years old and going on this...it seemed way more scary in the moment 😆
As a PA native, riding this was one of my biggest dreams at 6 years of age. Ended up almost having a mental breakdown after the train whistle (this video nor any will ever come close to how loud it is and how bright the lights are) and thought I was going to die on that ride. At 24 years old with a 6 year old of my own, I still feel the same way. Dont judge it until you try it! Haha
**edit** I lived literally directly next to a train track (within 25-30 yards of my home) all my childhood and it would go by at 3am and could sleep soundly as a baby. Knobles really did a good job making it sound as loud if not louder than real ones, along with the lighting.
****edit to the edit**** it's a truck lol
That train always gave me a heart attack! The witch also terrified me as a 5 year old
"I want to go on something more thrilling than Haunted Mansion"
I love that game
@@nickelthelemon best game ever right?
Lmao nice
Go on the one in disneyworld
The Ghost Host it’s a joke from the rct Series
I love the amount of mis-directs it has!
that's pretty hilarious in a few places. gotta agree that the honking/alarm sounds were a bit annoying, but that was a trope of ''old-timey'' spook houses, wasn't it?
I don't think Disney has anything to worry about
Nope 😂😂😂😂 this ride sucks I’ve been on it just for the laughs
At least Disney immersed you in the ride before you got on. Including having their cast members dress up and role play to the ride. Which made it kinda fun. Even more so when the cast members were having fun acting out their part.
Hey....yeah.

This isn’t based on Disney’s movie. This is just a classic amusement park ride 🤷🏼♀️
$2.50.? I mean why not 😂
i’ve always wanted to know what a haunted mansion ride was like but i’m far too easily scared to actually go on one in real life, so thank you for makin’ this video!!
What a quaint old ride! I have dreams about making rides like this...IDK why but I do. This is the kind of old time vintage fun you can enjoy no matter who you are.
スタッフのおっちゃんダルそうに寄りかかっててわろた
An old school hunted house ride. I remember one at Wild Wood NJ, when I was a child, 70'2 early 80's, same kind of rounded riding cars, how the doors would open like this video. I don't thing it was as elaborate as this one though. Put a smile on my face. :)
Eckingtonwashdc Washington DC I remember one in wildwood called the Wacky Shack. Was fun to ride as a kid!
@@talk2sampson499 Hehe... don't remember the name of the ride though. :)
@@LittleTut the one I remember is called Dauntes inferno. I know I'm 2 years late
This ride TERRIFIED me as a kid, particularly the truck and horn at the end. I still went on it every year my family went, but this ride is probably one of the most memorable.
I've been on this ride, and it's even louder in there irl
Balloon how loud?
@@lunahetfield so loud that I think the main reason why the ride is "scary" is because of how loud it is in there. Let's just say if it wasn't as loud, it wouldnt have felt that stressful riding it
I've enjoyed riding on this Haunted Mansion dozens of times, it's definitely one of the most nostalgic haunted houses, I've ever been on.
This is a super good video quality wise for a dark ride, but two things you don't get are the disorienting affect from being in the car with the fast twists and turns, especially in the psychedelic room, and the really nifty iridescent glowing skull pulley system in front of the wall of mirrors which is really a cool effect irl.
This was neat, I love how they used the light to flash a scene and then turn it off so you go back to darkness, lots of cool stuff in there amazing. :)
2:57 That scare has NOT aged well in retrospect
Everyone's commenting that Disney's in a lot better but at least you can get on this ride without waiting 2 hours.
Also, admission to this park is free, if that's comprehensible to people comparing the two.
You can easily get on a ride with a fast pass in under 20 minutes
Ain't gonna lie...had a great time
...reminded me of dorney parks old school haunted house ride..but my grandson....well he was terrified!
I thought it was great. Primitive, but classic. Glad rides like this still exist
The thing I noticed was that there were too many different themes. The Disney one tells a story but this one seems to have a mix of scary images and no connecting storyline.
I think the 'theme rides' are bit more current than those of 30 or so years ago.... as I kid it was just 'jump scares'.... which this tries.. but I agree LOUDDDD!
@@Anecdotal1 That is true. Haunted House attractions were just a series of unrelated scares and no storyline.
I hope you don't mind my sharing this story about when I was going round the Chamber Of Horrors in the waxworks in Blackpool. A group is were walking round when suddenly a door opened slowly. We were all really nervous - and then a little guy in an overall came out with a sweeping brush. What an anti-climax!
You mean you didn't like the random cannibal pacific islander in the forest at the end after the truck honks at you?
It doesn’t help that it seams like it tries to get guests in and out so quickly you can barely tell what you’re looking at before you’re shuffled along to the next scene. I mean the Haunted Mansion at Disney is like 10 minutes or so long and moves at a snails pace in comparison.
@@theblah12 That was my complaint as well, This ride looks too damn fast
The less scary it is, the more scary it gets. I’d freak out being stuck inside this house
Welcome Foolish Mortals (SO FOOLISH...) To the un-haunted mansion
XD
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s actually scary in real life
The friggin TRUCK HORN still gets me, EVEN through the video.
花やしきかよ
Oh my word you were in my backyard!! Love that park!
Close your eyes and you'll start to wonder if you clicked on a haunted house ride or a basketball game.
Wish they didn’t remove some of my favorite effects such as the air blast when the creature comes out of the oven, and especially the rotating tunnel that made you feel like you were spinning.
I love this channel for taking me on rides I never would elt's known about or seen.
Very nice I love these haunted house rides
When was this shot?
The story behind this "haunted" mansion is that an explorer has taken a cursed artifact from somewhere tropical (hence the jungle segment), and now, human abominations, spirits, witches, werewolves, and vampires haunt it. My guess is that this explorer probably invited several demonic entities to infest his home, conducted inhumane experiments on other human beings (2:05), and was overall involved with weird science long prior to taking that artifact home.
When I was little I would close my eyes the whole damn time I was on it.
Same xD
I would close my ears and cover my ears
I think I would already be frightened from riding those little red trolley from the fear of it falling apart during the ride (going so fast and being thrown around side to side) because they are so OLD....
I don't think I've ever seen a "No smoking on ride" sign before lol
Julie McLean. I have. Lol
After the disaster at Great Adventure's haunted attraction, probably every indoor ride put up those signs.
I really like Knoebels. The park is free to enter and you only pay for the rides you get on, which is perfect for my husband and daughter who don’t ride a lot. They get a better deal there than Hershey Park. Knoebels also has a pool that you can swim all day for very little expense.
LOL. normally it's the other way around . Moms just love to watch rather than ride . Are they afraid of Flying Turns ?
Man I’ve been on this ride so many times I can smell this video, and that’s train horn will get me every time lol
Does this ride have hills?
If Disneyland was a low-budget traveling fair, this is what the haunted mansion would look like.
Classic and fun..good for the lil ones to get started with.
If u go on this ride your one of two people. Ur either squeezing ur eyes shut ( which was me 5 years ago ) or screaming your head off at the highest pitch u can scream ( which was me today)
On you guys next trip, do the Trimpert? haunted house in Maryland or Delaware. Great video again!
Thank you so much I’m going there for the first time tomorrow and now I know what do expect!
These rides used to scare the heck out of me when I was a kid. What a great time.
I love cheesy rides like this...lol
Low budget Disney Haunted Mansion here but hey, it still looks awesome!
I love this stuff.
Thumbs up.
Most of my class trips were to Knoebels. In Florida, my son got to go to Epcot. But then my daughter once went to a crayon factory. Knoebels is just right for me. I would host the family there at least once a year if I could.
Makes u appreciate the Haunted Mansion at Disney
my favorite part of this ride was the room that played the halloween 2 ('81) music
Man when I was little this ride scared the hell out of me lol
Looks like a nice dark ride. Question though. The sign at the beginning said no hand stamps or bands. I've not been to this park yet. Are all of their rides this way? No ride all day passes? Or does this ride just cost extra?
They usually only have all day ride passes available during weekdays with certain rides excluded from the pass like this one
Ride passes with the coasters included are priced separate
Weekends it's tickets only
I haven't been to Knoebels in about 20 years, but this was always one of the few rides excluded from the all-day passes. Because the park doesn't charge admission, you usually pay per ride, but the all-day passes allowed you to ride everything as many times as you liked... except the Haunted Mansion, which was always pay-per-ride.
From what I recall, the reason it wasn't included on the pass was because teenagers would start vandalizing the props after multiple rides. Keeping it as a pay-per-ride attraction limited repeats, which led to far less vandalism.
That is a great ride.
the truck will never not be fucking horrific for me, it’s so loud
That was literally the most terrifying thing. Omg
i...love this....a lot....
I actually thought it was pretty good! I enjoyed this video 👻☠️👻☠️
Ah, the old fashioned pretzel dark ride. Truly a gift

yess the halloween stuff is starting :D
I went on this as a kid and I kept my fingers in my ears and eyes shut and I thought it scared me but now I realize it was just sensory overload.
I went on this ride today with my friends and i was in the middle and the dude said "the middle is the spot with the most jump scares" and then i stuffed my face in one of my friends sweatshirt i was terrified
This is like the definition of an RCT3 ride.
Without the glitches
This honestly looks like so much fun! If anyone thinks this is bad, you should see what we have in UK. You wouldn't complain then. 😂
Ah I love Knoebels, I used to go there every summer. if you're still there, you should check out the Black Diamond. It's a short but nice lil ride similar to this one.
It’s changed so much I miss the bus scene
this is my state knoebels and i feel safe after watching this video
cried at the truck one last year.
I loved this ride at Disney World
Y'all gotta stop comparing this to Disney- They're both different in their own way and both fun rides.
No. Disney's is actually mildly scary. This is just annoying.

Classic dark and scary ride.
Get rid of those whistles!!!
Still remember when my sister knocked my glasses off into the cart
Man Disney has really downgraded the Haunted Mansion.
This is so cool and awesome
Good ride.
Geez this isn’t the haunted mansion I remembered. This is probably that house down the street from it. With less room and a crummy budget.
Lmao the fact it rides on a deck cracks me up
Was it really worth the $2.50 though?
I was on the ride before like 2 weeks ago with my brother I was dreaming my brains out yet I am watching
That f*cking snake gets me every time....
2.50 in tickets? How does that work?
My kids loved it. I would like to scare it up a bit. Overall fun park to go to.
Awesome.
It sound like a basketball game with classical music.
Another good one ,lots of noise and the cars make fast corners in the dark and then flash bright lit up features ,excellent , worth 2.50 no doubt. good video whoever made it by the way also ,just sayin. .
