The hardest easy should be a insane-hard demon
As someone who has completed over 200 easy demons, I'd nominate ZXCircles, Phantoplasm, or Bloudeleuste as the hardest.
Edit: oh my, this is really inaccurate to my current opinions, as levels like Break the Rules, Intensa Emozione, and Alphar are a LOT harder than these and even Animus (I’ve now played almost every easy demon considered high easy).

Personally, I think andro deserves more respect than just being referred to as a hacker. Yeah he hacked, but he went back and completed every level that he hacked legit, and became a legend in the community.

Yeah unlike Conix he went and beat his hacked levels, which made him validated in the community again
The hardest insane demon used to be Plasma Pulse Finale. This was during the debate on whether it or Bloodlust was harder. During the whole thing, a lot of Knobbelboy/Bloodlust fans spammed PPF with easy demon rates to bring its rating down. I saw it as an insane demon with my own eyes, but it might have even become a hard demon.
firework was easy demon for a short amount of time after it was released it was really funny
the hardest 4star is bloodbath michigan by lesha basicly its an almost impossible level im pretty sure

xmas challenge being rated 2* isn't rob being drunk or anything like that
the reason to it being a 2* is because the length is short. if a short level is rated and above 2*, rob's anticheat system will detect it and automatically kick you out of the level once you try to beat it.

You forgot about the hardest Auto 1*! That title is 100% going to the level "Geometry map 8 AUTO". It is filled with memory and awkward timings due to a 2.0 update.

@@Cobgd That may be the hardest auto normally clearing, but Mang Game takes the lead if you include coins. Coin route requires you to play the level without the auto, which in turn leaves you with a medium/hard demon difficulty

For me one of the hardest medium demons is Thermodynamix by Flash. If you look at older YT videos it was rated hard demon, but now it's medium; kinda like DarnoClub Step. It has a lot of hard ship parts and timings, plus the ending has a 1 block gap straight fly!
Edit: Forgot to mention that everyone in the comment section of that level says that it's hard-to-insane demon (agreed), and from personal experience it's at least harder than Nine Circles(by a lot).

I just heard this somewhere but I think 2* is the highest rating RobTop could give to short levels (< 30s long)
Fun Fact: Beautiful Eyes used to be the hardest 3 star, but it was unrated (i don't know why). It was a nine circles type level.
Also, there was a 9 Star, which the creator got hacked in and changed it to a decorated Silent Clubstep. It was reverted a long time ago.
EDIT: Oh and we aren't going to talk about a demon called "Rusted World" Which was rated an extreme demon when it was medium demon difficulty?

nautilus was also rated extreme, but was then rerated to medium demon
For like 10 minutes I saw a 3 star level get turned into Tartarus and then turned back.
also there was an extreme demon called "deadly hexagon force" but it got unrated a long time ago
There was also a Texic level that was extreme demon and got changed to medium

YESS that level took me like 200 attempts
A lot of people can hate me but in my opinion, the hardest medium demon is Red Haze by ToastLord. This level has a very hard fast paced gameplay and it has some bugs in it.
lol that level took me like 30 att to beat... I'm either amazing at the game, got lucky, or the level is easy... but I could definitely see how it could be hard to understand for sure

Most of the levels were buffed after they got rated, and rob either doesn't care or haven't seen these levels yet.
Gd has an anti-hax detector that make short levels impossible to rate, except for easy ones.
I personally think dont rate this level is harder, i have beaten gravity zero, is horrible but dont rate this level is still harder.

When I was clearing some map packs, I reached "Time is Echo" and my god it was awful. 159 att
I went looking for something else to play, opened Remix pack 4 (Demon levels) and began playing "Xtep v2"
Apart from the memory part/trolly, I beat it with 148 att + practice. Still lower because I HATE TRIPLE SPIKES AAAAA
0:34 it has an explanation: Due to a bug with short levels that made them give 127 stars, RobTop decided to lock all short rated levels to 1 star, then, when the Auto difficulty came out, it was changed to 2 star, but older levels remained in 1 star, becoming auto levels
0:34 the reason this happens is because if you beat a level thats over easy difficulty in under 30 secs, you'll get leaderboard banned

I have less than 600 non-demons left and death machine + liquid containers are the levles that probably keep me from beating all of them lol
Supersonic v2 was actually longer but the verifier died far and shortened it to todays version.

I personally think double triple trial is harder. Xmas challenge took a while but double triple trial I have not beaten. And I’m not bad at timings either I have 58% on acropolis by zobros
The cube and ufo parts are easy in xmax challenge the challenge is in the ship parts

Xmas challenge is a 2 star because, a tiny or short level can't be a 3-10 star, because then the game throws you out of the level when you beat it
Tbh it’s also a 2 star bc it’s super short so it’s pretty easy to beat it
i am back 1 month later, now as a victor of both xmas challenge and double triple trial. I can easily say DTT is harder. The level took me 640 attempts which is 3x the amount that xmas challenge took me.
Here's a little explaination, so i tested out how many times out of 10 i would pass the first 5 jumps in DTT. I passed them 3 times in those 10 attempts, so 30% chance. Now if it takes you a 30% chance to pass the first 5 jumps, it's gonna take you another 30% chance for the next set of 5 jumps, then again and again. Then there's only a set of 4 jumps so let's say they only take you 45% and the last jump (extended spikes) is 33%, the odds of you beating the level are low.
While xmas challenge, while you have a pretty small chance of passing the first straight fly, the cube and ufo aren't as bad and the last straight fly is 2x speed so it's easier than 1x speed straight fly. Also the straight fly in xmas challenge isn't even normal straight fly. You have a normal 1 block gap to fly through using the default spikes, and then you have a half spike, then normal again. So, it's not normal straight fly, it's straight fly, but you take a break every block.

The reason Xmas Ad is a two star is, in GD, short levels are ALWAYS rated 2 star, no matter if its an extreme demon or an 2 star easy

Hardest 4* - Illuminati (unrated, used to be a top 10 in demon list)
Hardest 5* - dont rate this level (Impossible ending)

personally, think double triple trail beats xmas challenge. Because you need to click perfectly in order to get over 30 7 (i think) spikes. Plus the bg torches can throw u off sometimes
i beat xmas challenge first before double triple trail as well. (Which ofc influenced my opinion as well)

Good video! I think one 5 star level I have to mention is Phantasm by g4lvatron. That level took me way too long to beat, as if I was beating a medium demon ngl.
I havent played in a long time but I remember Empyrean being ridiculous. It felt like a demon or insane but was given harder just so it could be in the gauntlet. Which defeated the whole purpose having only 7 stars and below in the gauntlet.

Unknown Seas by Capaxl is the best normal difficulty level, its hard but it doesn't have brain dead ship, ufo, or robot parts and its very long so yea.

Xmas adventure is easier, the UFO and cube sections are free, the ship is the only hard part. Took me like 3 attempts to beat while i never beat DTT

@@Cobgd Personally, I’ve had a harder time with The double triple trial because it’s just a consistency challenge which is harder for me than just learning a UFO pattern & straight fly. I’ve made it to the last straight fly on Xmas Challenge but only have like 25% on the double triple trial because it’s harder for me to do.

If you go back to insane difficulty you’ll find levels that are harder than every level you mentioned like Tax evasion, Kingdom of Miracalis, Nessus and A lot more

Actually, most people think the hardest insane demon is either memories III (the most agreed upon), corrsion, reverie, lezicuv, final epilogue, overlord, overdose, dragonlocked, tesseract, or eden's blessing...
Well this was outdated because it's M A N IX by Krmal... by a long shot... everyone says it's an extreme demon... and it's a "buffed" version of M A N I X by Manix, which was an already difficult medium demon... there's also the invisible straight fly at the end... I personally think M A N I X is nowhere even CLOSE to insane demon... and I have NO clue why it's still insane to this day
mario 2d was fixed i think, because it only turns around when you click and dont hold.

from what I've played, DarnoClub Step is way easier than ThermoDynamix, another medium demon.
for insane demon, there is one with lots of annoying memory and a 60hz frame perfect that 1. basically forces you to play on 60hz and 2. is at 85%. i can't remember the name, however.
While it has since been unrated and deleted, i ninety-nine i by GGtime is for sure the hardest 3 star and I think it deserved a mention.
Surprised to not see Fallen Era II by PSAY getting mentioned, it used to be a rated 8* redeco of Silent Clubstep until it got fixed to a Fallen Era by Alkali remake.

I think Mystery Dungeon is the hardest 3 star, cause I have 2 demons, and did Mystery Dungeon in 80 attempts.
