Layout update and run session!!

- With spring around the corner I figured it was time to make some layout changes, clean up and move around. I re-arranged my display shelves, and changed the layout scene a bit. I also finally painted the back wall below the table line. And saved some time to run trains.
I have added some Pittsburgh stuff. Although Im originally from Johnstown Pa -- Pittsburgh is only an hour and 15 minutes away. Recently I removed the Strasburg tower and added Pittsburgh, I added a Steelers billboard, and thanks to my buddy at J's O Scale added three Steelers slag cars to the consist.
Ive removed the yellow Pedestrian crossing between the tracks and will be adding a woodland scenic crossing. There have been some deer added with a pesky photographer. I removed the Cherry Hill Station and thinking about where to re-locate it. That's what makes this hobby interesting, always room for a change and fresh ideas.
At the end we save some time of course to run some trains with the PRR USRA mikado and Army RS pulling their trains. There will be more additions and changes coming upo, I hope you all enjoy!!

It's always great to see how you spice up your layout with new perspectives and arrangements to add dynamic interest, Bob. It makes for a new adventure for me on every visit to your layout. The back round LED lights enhance the layout immensely, especially with subdued lighting. Nice touches with moving accessories around. Variety is the spice of life.

Great ideas, I like the dock workers and the idea with the dogs .
Thanks Ray, yea I got the Kal Kan car from my friend Sam and thought create dogs on the dock waiting for the worker. Glad you liked it.

Change never ends. Like what you are doing. Someone asked me what do you do in retirement? What do you mean, I work on my train layout and the enjoy running the trains. My kids and grandkids always know where to find me… in the basement train room!

Wow Bob the layout’s looking great, nothing like a good change of scenery to spice it up a bit. Glad to see the L2 and Army trains are running great! And of course gotta love more Pittsburgh stuff!

Another thing Bob. The downside with Right of Way is that they made their stuff in very small production numbers so if want something specific from them, it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.
Alot of companies are going to lower production with less on hobby shop shelves which is unfortunate.
I find it kind of funny how I have a MTH Boston red socks water tower while you have a MTH stealers water tower. It would be cool if MTH could make some dog related action accessories, the only dog action accessory that I can think of it the Lionel newspaper stand from 1957

Hi Mike. I have a 4x8 which is strictly an amusement park area. The main layout is 8x24. I have 4 mainlines 054, 063, 072 and 080. Thanks for the compliment.
