Lol didn't the people of this world crucify Jesus first? Fate of the Clockmaker is in reference to a story on how a queen of London (Probably one of the many Elizabeth's) ordered a ornate grandfather clock be constructed by the best craftsmen in the land. The clockmaker gave her the clock with pride, not paying mind to the two guard by her side. She ordered his eyes plucked out, so the clockmaker could never make anything beautiful again.
If only he could escape his queen's wrath.
There are tales about blinding the craftsman upon creation of a masterpiece in pretty much every culture.

The half-vampiric bard let out an amused laugh. "Really? Let's test that theory, shall we?"
Cassio began to play his violin and magic filled the cold night.
Dorian began to speak. "I'm a vampire, charm spells won't work on-"
Dorian suddenly stopped. Memories began to overflow his mind, memories of students he had once had. Young vampires he'd had under his wing for decades. All students he had trained Cassio alongside. Ten years ago, he had introduced Cassio to them, and then one by one, each student, had disappeared, not just from reality, but from Dorian's own mind.
A tear fell from Dorian's eye as he remembered each of their names. Nickolas, Hellen, Friga... and so many more.
"See that's the thing about dreams, Dorian. Once you convince someone something's a dream, they tend to forget it. Even their own surrogate children. Throughout the ten years I trained under you, developing this dream magic, and one by one, they came to me seeking help with their studies, or companionship, or something more carnal. And every time, I obliged them... and then had them oblige me!"
Cassio spread his arms and the souls of the vampires he had consumed erupted from his scarlet coat, all with an expression of eldritch, unimaginable agony.
"Is one student really worth more than all the others to you, Dorian? Do you love me that much?" Cassio asked, cold sadism in his voice as he gave Dorian a fanged grin.
"You started this cycle when you destroyed the Roundhshield guild, and now you plead with me to stop it? Sure, if you can forgive me right now, after I've brought you down to my level, made you feel my pain, and then you still forgive me, I'll listen to to what you have to say. So which will it be, my oh so wise and old vampire friend? Can you forgive me... for taking everything away from you?"
Dorian's vision went red with his bloody tears and he gripped the hilt of his sword, his normally calm and gentle voice became a hideous stutter as he cried. "You- You're a monster!"
"Yes, you wanted to make me into one of you? Well congratulations, you did. And in return, I made you like me... broken." Cassio began to laugh sadistically as Dorian's breath accelerated, as the millennia-old vampire, for the first time in centuries felt true true hatred boil in his veins.
With a roar, Dorian charged at Cassio, who smirked calmly and whispered, "Voila. But your requiem is far from over, Dorian. It has only just begun!"
(There's a lot of context (two and a half book's worth) needed to get the full effect of this passage, but standing alone, hopefully it'll compel at least one person's heart, who was generous enough to read it.)
Great soundtrack, now, all that is needed is a movie worthy of it.

He slams it into the ground and portals away, the ground bursts with energy as a swell of vines and rock juts out of the ground to form Droz ( the character who died ) with the stone at the center of his forehead.

To me, freedom has always been a choice given to us by the government's that bind us. To me, when a choice is made, a thousand more reveal themselves. What if life was meant to be beautiful and dark and plentiful?
With every step I took towards her, the girl trembled with fear, but she never took her eyes off mine. She had to be strong, she had to stand firm. She knew that even if she was going to die, she would be a martyr for her people and would not leave this life crying and begging like a coward.
We were only two feet apart, and I slowly put my sword back in its scabbard. She looked confused by my move, then she panicked, it was one thing to stay strong knowing that one would die, it was another to be unsure of one's destiny.
I leaned towards her, "You've made quite a name for yourself." I said in an almost affectionate tone. "When I told my men to find me the maiden of the river, I didn't think it would be you. But here you are."
Hoping to quell her panic, she grumbled, "It's been a long time, sister. Why am I not surprised that you enjoy playing with your captives, you were a weak child who always wanted to feel strong, after all."
I laughed and slowly crept behind her and without haste, standing on top of the words one by one, I whispered in her ear, "If I wasn't going to kill you anyway, you'd be begging me to take your life.”
I did not rush to wrap the scarf around her neck, nor did I when I tightened it until she was out of breath. Or at the moment when I realized that she was about to take her last breath, when I bent down to her ear to say the last words she would hear in this life, my movements were quite calm. "A little clue for your next life, if you ever need to find a traitor again, first suspect your kin."

Elle fuyait à travers les couloirs royaux depuis une éternité. Chaque intersections se ressemblaient, les mêmes murs de pierres, la lumière qui disparaissait au fur et à mesure que les bougies suspendues au plafond de verre se mourraient et sa respiration saccadée qui ricochait à chaque bifurcations dans ce labyrinthe interminable. En vain elle continuait ... en l'attente d'un signe, d'une sortie. Chaque seconde la séparait davantage de la vie. Il l'appelait. Murmurait son nom. Chuchotait sa mort. Elle ne lui échapperait pas.
La vitesse de ses pas ralentissaient alors qu'elle approchait d'une porte en bois massif, grande de trois fois sa taille. L'espoir provoqua l'électrochoc qui manquait à son cœur. Elle sortit la dague volée de sa botte pour s'ouvrir la paume, avant de la poser contre le plaque de marbre en guise de clé.
- Allez ouvre-toi, ouvre-toi je t'en supplie...
Le cliquetis se fit entendre et elle poussa la porte de toutes ses forces en gémissant. Elle entendit les cris du diable rugir derrière elle. Une fois à l'intérieur, elle se précipita en son centre. Debout au milieu du symbole des dieux, ses pieds ensanglantés illuminèrent les gigantesques anneaux gravés dans le sol. La dague en main, elle attendit que l'enfer vienne-t-a elle.
C'était maintenant qu'elle réaliserait l'oracle qui la hantait depuis tant d'année. Mettre fin aux cauchemars qui régnaient depuis bien trop longtemps sur leur monde. Son corps ne tremblait pas, prêt à accueillir sa destinée.
Il pénétra dans les lieux. Géant, furieux, il observa un instant dans le silence la femme qui croyait pouvoir mettre fin à son existence. Les lumières blanches jaillissantes du symbole lui brûlait les yeux, mais sa haine était plus grande.
Un instant. Le calme.
Puis le diable se jeta sur elle pour l'anéantir. Elle évitait ses frappes de justesse, saignait à chaque contact, hurlait à chaque douleur en tentant tant bien que mal de s'approcher de la poitrine de la bête pour lui enfoncer la dague des dieux.
Elle se résigna. Elle n'y arriverait jamais de sa vie. Impossible.
Elle se laissa attraper. Le diable la soulevait de sa main de titan en lui broyant les côtes. Pendante au dessus de sa gueule, il était prêt à l'avaler.
Sa vie s'envolait. Mais elle devait encore accomplir sa tâche. Elle le devait. Pour sa famille, son peuple. Pour ses promesses.
Jamais elle ne cria aussi fort. D'une force surnaturelle, elle déchiqueta les tendons du monstre de sa lame. Et alors qu'elle tombait d'une centaine de mètre sous les hurlements féroces, elle visa le cœur de la mort avec un dernier courage. La dague s'enfonça dans la chaire au moment où son corps s'écrasa contre le sol. La bête poussa un dernier hurlement avant de la poursuivre dans sa chute.
Sa dernière vision étaient les yeux du diable, perdus dans les siens.
