      @trendkill3333 Před 3 lety +28

    • @whiskerbiscuit6674
      @whiskerbiscuit6674 Před 3 lety +27

      It's the new generation hating on it. 80's and 90's didn't have as much high gain amps and scooped mids were super popular in that era so pedals were used a lot. Also it was the most gain you could get on your little bedroom practice amp. So it was able to do what everyone wanted. It was used on Slaughter of the soul. Primus used it. tons used it in the nineties. Only in the last 15 years does everyone want the exact same carbon copy 5150 tone.
      Also people have no idea how to used the parametric eq properly. So the kids never figured it out properly and when they bought an amp that had a simpler eq section they just assumed the MT-2 was crap, when it's their ignorance.

    • @trendkill3333

    Metalzone was my first ever pedal. Brought me the magic of distortion for the first time, how could anyone ever hate something that can do that?! sounds awesome, my First video on my channel is recorded through my amp's overdrive, then out from the loop to the Metal Zone MT-2 and back in and i am using the webcam on top of the amp to record. been using the Metal Zone in the Loop for at least 10 years now and i always wondered why people hated it... i just assumed people would have plugged it in the loop as well...

    I run the waza craft metal zone at the beginning of my loop to a compressor sustainer to a ibanez ts-9 to a 7 band eq all running through the loop in the noise gate.. It's like I have the awesome eq of the metal zone but kind of that tube screamer sound.
    Its just brutal with the compressor as well even with the gain cranked on the tube screamer I get a clean sound then jack it with metal zone when I want distortion and hit the eq for a boost with the leads. I am absolutely loving it and am finally completely satisfied with my tone.

    Nicccccce. My rigs similar in that I've got a Line 6 Uber Metal in the fx return of my Peavey Renown 400 thats extended to an HH 215BL then using a Mosky klone as a boost, sounds sweet!!
