Yes. I remember doing renver and traver in the 80's in my lessons with Jill Munro. I don't hear that anymore...maybe because I'm in TN now, not CA, but I do watch a lot of youtube .
thanks Amelia! very useful! let's remind folks to go forward after collected work , tho, and keep those stretch breaks in there for our developing athletic horses! Thanks for keeping me inspired!
Thank you Amelia! That was really clear and helpful. We do this exercise in our lessons and sometimes get our heads ((horse and rider both!) in a right old tangle. This is a lovely and inspiring reminder of how to do this exercise and why we do it.
Thanks Silvana! And thanks for watching, and don’t forget to subscribe to get notified of my new weekly content! Also, if you to really focus on getting your position in the strongest shape to execute your dressage aids, you can sign up to my masterclass on Rider Position here! bit.ly/3zqBlwR
I will try it tomorrow with my mare... but in walk, because I think it will be hard for her. I always do shoulder in and then travers. I totally forgot about renvers!
For shoulder-in, your horse's shoulders will come off the rail, but in haunches-in your horses haunches will come off the rail. This video goes into more detail on both movements: amelianewcombdressage.com/dressage-training/how-to-ride-shoulder-in-and-haunches-in/
@@AmeliaNewcombDressage thank you Amelia, but I meant shoulders in vs haunches OUT (not haunches in). it is the same, right? or is there some difference?
It’s nice seeing it on a horse who is having a bit of a hard time with the movement so we know how to overcoming situations
Wow haven't seen or heard Renver and Traver in a long time!!!

Thank you Amelia🐎🐴
Thank you for the informative video! Something I liked less about it was the pressure on the bit, it looks very uncomfortable for the horse.
That was really clear and helpful, thanks. i am from pune , india .
This is very helpful. The pdf is no longer available at the link above.
Thank you for the video! Super helpful! Is there one on travers?
Im just starting to learn this.
Amelia, I'm starting to use the double bridle. My horse is familiar with it but I'm new. The contact seems quite different - Please help!

Good idea to start in the walk 👍👍
