Igor Moiseyev took the "Line Dance" that was popular entertainment in the early 1900s on Broadway, the West End and Paris (a line of girls all doing the same thing) and raised it to an art form by adding ethnicity, athletics and precision. I recall seeing "Partisans" in the Sixties in Los Angeles and being astounded by it. The Dance Company is magnificent and "Lord of the Dance" and the Rockettes have all been inspired by it.
Wait.At 4:15, was that Elizabeth Taylor dancing with Igor Moiseyev. 1st time to see this video. Have been watching individual dance videos. Saw a video of Bashkir Folk Dance earlier, not on youtube. Did Moiseyev choreograph any of their dances?
