I'm so happy this video is up! I recorded some of the songs on my phone but the audio was awful! Just tinny sounding. So nice to rewatch this, they were amazing live and I want to see placebo again, one of my favourite bands ❤️
Saw them at Leeds festival in 2003, they really surprised me how good they are live and rumour has it that the drugs and alcohol they consume on tour is matched only by motorhead ♠️

@@LeniFromMemento I was just going a little crazy. It was an MCR show and the crowd wasn't very lively, but I've been a fan for years so just danced & sang like I normally do at a Placebo show. He saw me and smiled a couple of times. Then at this show I was stood in the same place dancing, he saw me during Forever Chemicals and smiled again, then this happened. & at the end of the show he gave his plectrum to security & asked them to bring it to me. So kindly & thoughtful of him. I can't wait for the UK tour in November!

That's why Brian is so nice and full of energy (for his standard).
He needs more audience like that in my opinion, often when he plays for Placebo fandom (dancing, singing and clapping like crazy) he looks just bored and quite sad.
Don't get me wrong, I love him and Placebo and I've attended many gigs, the shows are always excellent...his mood and behaviour...(coughs)
@@TheLostdandelion in his defense hes getting rather old and with all the drugs he took in his youth + being (mostly) sober now probably leaves him with very little energy. Impressed hes still touring
I live right next to the stadium and was given a ticket but it never said who was supporting MCR and I'm not really into them so I gave my ticket away as I couldn't sell it!! then I heard placebo playing and was pissed off!! they shouldn't be supporting they should be headlining!! they are to good and with loads of experience!!!...a friend in needs a friend indeed my Japanese is better. Classic

they dont really like to play most of their old songs now, which is a bit of a shame but they are still great live

I’ve heard a few live songs and the drumming is lacking attitude and impact. Hoping with time it’ll sound better.

@@faxlrose9607 MCR was the main act. I was kind of disappointed by the crowds reaction to placebo tbh, it was a long and hot day though. Rather than thinking of them as an opening band, its more like a warmup for their new album tour. They smashed it anyway! Can’t wait to see them at the end of the year.
