Recently, I've been re-visiting old fandoms I used to be into. Undertale has been probably one of my favorite. I would just like to thank everybody in this fandom in 2017-2018 for making my life the best it possibly could be. I'm also trying to find my piano so I can learn this song. Again, thank you to everybody in this fandom, you have made a person's life better.
(Edit: its been 2 years and I'm coming back to this video. If you're confused on how I lost a PIANO, it was like one of those small beginner ones. Nice seeing you all again! I'll be back in like a year or two to reunite once more ;)

I've basically returned to the fandom ever since Deltarune came out in 2018. Since you're not as interested now idk if you know this but Toby Fox and his team is making a sequel to Undertale, Deltarune, and releasing it in chapters. Chapter 1 came out in Halloween 2018 and chapter 2 came out like 2 weeks? Ago? The first two chapters are free and it's been absolutely great so far. This is a good time to return if you want :3

I think the 2nd part is the hardest
3rd part is understandably "harder" if u aren't classically trained/haven't seriously play the piano, those turns and broken chords isn't a common thing in pop music (since thats what generally what ppl play on their instruments). 2nd part on the other hand is harder since u r expected to play this weird chord arpeggio on ur left hand.

i’m a very beginner pianist and the past few days i’ve been trying to learn this song. i can successfully play (albeit at a significantly slower pace) up to 1:04 and im very proud of myself! i’ll update this once ive learned more

i recommend practicing each section different days!
listen to the song first and get a feel in how your hands are gonna move :D
never, ever give up! it may seem hard, but with practice you can do it!!
listen to other tutorials that can maybe simplify this if it’s too hard. maybe start there and come back to this!!
practice your transition to other notes! slow the playback speed down, and practice at a slower pace!
enjoy what your playing! if you don’t enjoy the song, you won’t be motivated to learn!! keep going

I can play from 0:00 to 0:58 both right and left parts but just not together yet, it’s super hard to do a different thing on one hand and another on the other for me. After I do learn how to play it together, I will learn the rest of the song! This song is so beautiful ^•^
Update:
I practiced for at least 15 minutes a day for like 2 days and I can play 0:00 to 0:58 perfectly without any stopping when switching to different parts and I can play them together right. Super easy now! :D

Yeah, it’s actually really a lot easier than it seems. Took me like 45 minutes in 1 day to learn. I really suggest learning this if anyone wants to, it’s really nice and easy.

recently, i’ve been going through a rough patch in my life and today i suddenly remembered my 5th grade year and how much i loved undertale. i made friends because of it and we all bonded over this. it was almost as if undertale raised me when my family didn’t want to. i come back to this video every now and then just to think about those times and to reflect on other recent events that happened in my life. even though i’m not in the fandom anymore, i’ll always come back to this masterpiece that moved me to tears. thank you toby💖

Can we just appreciate the work Toby fox put into his amazing game called undertale, like he created a story, helped design a beautiful world for us to enjoy, wrote songs for each of his characters, and made us happy when we were supposed to feel happy, and sad when we were meant to be sad. Played it for the first time a few weeks ago. In love with the game now
this song makes everything feel unreal, flooding me and overwhelming me with emotions and saddness and anxiety, but fills me with joy and happiness, relaxing me enough to fall asleep. it makes me want to run away from the world, to excape it all, just to find what happened to me, what went wrong, all to just keep running and running until i find happiness, even when i know it might not even be possible. i eventually come to a dead end near the end of the song, telling myself it's all or nothing and it'll be ok, then jumping off the cliff.
My favorite part has to be the little waltz-like section at 1:23 , it's just such a cool addition, with the way the main theme gets interwoven into the piece.

there’s something so mysterious and beautiful about this. like i’ve listened to it in another life before
It's so cheesy putting this here but I want to let it off my chest. I was in the Undertale fandom from 2016-2017 and just hearing this makes me comforted but also filled with regret. During this time I had friends who also loved Undertale. We met and became close because of it. Unfortunately for them, I was a total asshole and did some horrible and unforgivable things towards the people who trusted me. After hurting all of them, all I had left was the memories and regrets. I still feel remorseful, but I can't do anything to reverse the past. Although this song makes me remember things I don't want to, it's also a reminder for me to never go back to what I was before. It hurts to play, but it soothes me at the same time.
0:11 for me major to minor songs are almost considered certified sad nostalgic songs. its just hits hard so much

i know this is a 2 year old comment, but to play parts like these it really helps to seperate the hands, like, dont make the right handed part DEPENDENT on the left hand, so practice a few exersises to get used to seperating the hands and eventually itll click.
