I actually got to sample this yesterday and it blew me away. An invigorating pineapple/orange opening and vanilla comes in after the dry down. I think the frag community is just hating on this. Definitely sample it.
Just got a sample as well. Blew me away. I dont get the hate for this one AT ALL. Reminds me of Azzaro The Most Wanted, not Invictus like he says.
I agree, and first impressions videos are a waste of time, the fragrance needs to be worn on the skin and smelt the whole way through, for a proper opinion to be formed.
I feel this is a fragrance fragcom is sleeping on, very pleasant in my opinion.

This one shocked me. I thought I wouldn't like it. I LOVE it! Really really nice
I don't see how reviewers don't pick up on the gingerbread/vanilla notes that I picked up immediately after testing it at Macy's. I deadass opened fragrantica after I smelled the gingerbread in Yellow Dream to see if I was the only one who picked up the note. To my surprise, it was a middle note!! This smells WAAAAYYY different on the skin than Invictus; the same can be said about the original Born in Roma. They are both complex in their wear time, not their opening.
I was blown away by Yellow Dream (horrible name). I get a creamy vanilla type scent, not Invictus like he says. I love this stuff!
This is very very good scent, I sampled it in airport shop and had to buy it. I think it's really underrated.

This is a awesome summer fragrance unlike stronger with you (more of a fall/winter but also awesome) . This has tons of pineapple in the opening. I sprayed this one my left hand and light blue forever (grapefruit based) on my right - blinded tested them on my wife and mother and hands down they choose this one over D&G LB 4ever.
Just ordered mine along with tom ford costa azura. Also both of the new Killian . Like the first impression approach

I don’t have invictus…. So I’m glad I just picked up yellow dream. 🍍 I have to say, I think Valentino bottles are the sexiest bottles I’ve ever seen. They outshine all other fragrance bottles on my vanity.

Was the bath and body works ypubwere talking about, Atlantique? I have the body wash and I immediately was reminded of invictus. It's pretty good considering its a body wash.
Bath & Body Works Atlantic I think, I'm sure we're talking about the same thing. Probably not bad for a body wash but the cologne version is pretty boring

I just bought a 1.7 and I’m made I just didn’t get the 3oz bottle from FragranceNet because I WAS gonna submit to the blind buy but I got to sample it randomly at Ulta and this is the PERFECT summer scent from this specific Born In Roma Uomo line. This is and Coral Fantasy definitely are definitely unique attention grabbers. Green Stravaganza was the only letdown but I’ve since found that it pairs well with the original Valentino Uomo and Uomo Intense.
Not everyone feels the same on everything, I personally like this one, couldn’t decide which I liked better between yellow dream and coral fantasy, so I bought Em both and layer them 🤷🏼♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😉🥴🤣🤣🤷🏼♂️
And I’m Not a Fan of invictus . But this I like 🎯

fragrances don’t expire in only a couple years as long as you store them properly
@jameshusband3392 I don't know who told you that but according to perfumer's fragrances do expire if it's not being stored correctly so you're right my bro.

The notes are amazing but the smell is so basic. We need these notes done by xerjoff or kilian (with some rum). Then it would actually smell how it’s described. They could’ve made this a flanker of uomo instead of a flanker of its flanker, kept some of that gourmand essence. I do like the opening however (the first 30 secs on skin I do get the pineapple/citrus combo).

This doesn't smell like Invictus to me at all. This blew me away. I never looked at it because the reviews. But I was given a sample with a Valentino cologne I had purchased. Really was a nice surprise! If you like Azzaro The Most Wanted and/or Stronger with You, you should really like this! Grade 8/10

A lot of me personal female fragrances smell similar because I go have a certain type of style and I don’t mind my man having fragrances that smell similar as well but just a little different. For me I can tell the difference and I’m more concerned with it smelling good. There is nothing wrong with generic. If it came out 10/15 years ago would you have really liked it? He doesn’t have Invictus but he tried a sample of Invictus Aqua and it bothered his sinuses so I’m hoping to give this one a go.
Yea bro this is a bad review honestly i dont know if your nose wasnt working the day you reviewed this or what but this smells NOTHING like invictus and is actually way better. Gingerbread and spices along with pineapple. Its an amazing fragrance that continues to grow on you the more you wear it.

The whole roma line is pretty much invictus inspired if invictus not really your flavor you'll most likely be disappointed with anything from the roma line ESPECIALLY if you experienced the Uomo line which had amazing scents!!!

We knew this was going to happen once Ester Lauder bought them out. So sad Valentino used to be a pretty good line for fragrances.
