Suggestion for you guys. Being a safety rep for the shop that I worked in for the USAF , I'd like to suggest y'all purchase some hearing protection. I always briefed, picture a beautiful wheat field and then run a mover on high cutting through it. Well as we lose our hearing , like the wheat field , we can never get our hearing back that we lost. Suggest at least buying a box of foam throw aways. I really enjoy y'all's videos!!! Col. 2:10-14
Granny Good morning! Seeing y'all plowing and turning the dirt brings back memories. Best wishes for a Great crop year. Dad is fabulous as are all the other cast members.
If you want to put a stop to parked regens on your tractors check into Pittsburg Power Max Mileage. It’s a catalyst that causes soot to combust at a much lower temperature. It’s expensive to buy but it will put an end to after treatment issues. Takes an ounce per 25 gallons of diesel and you can add straight to your bulk tank. I’ve ran it in my tractor trailer for 3 years and have had zero after treatment issues. Check it out it’s worth the money.
I see y’all using that old spindle from the cotton picker for a punch/set at 8:52! They sure make good ones! That should take care of the slop on the Y Drop heads. Big Dan McGuiver strikes again! Perfect zip tie technique, PA! 😂 Good to see cotton seed hitting dirt! Best of luck the rest of the way!
If you have a level pad of concrete like inside your shop you can pick your planter up and sit it on that contraption for each row unit instead of using a jack. I been using 2x4s to do basically the same thing for years .
Can't beat McGriff! Great people working there. I do enjoy watching your videos. Dad knows his "stuff". He should have a Dr. of Ag degree!!! This would have been a great off road stop if there was a Dairy Queen there.
Farms that do not irrigate and have dry summers planting singulated rows can increase crop production as the plants are not crowding each other and fighting for less available water. On fields that are irrigated or if you get plenty of rains planting extra seed will get you a bigger crop.
Get you a little torpedo level to double stick tape tp the top of whichever depth plate you decide to use so if nothing else you can match the bubble so they're consistent.
I tried it that way and never could get the hoses to stay consistent and we have bedded land too and they would drift towards the middles, they just didn’t work for me, thanks for watching 👍😁
Is PA new to the farm crew this year? I don’t remember seeing him last year. The smaller lines are to slow down the flow to cylinder. Would wing up to fast with large lines.
He was there before and left for another job, then returned. There's a troll that goes by the name K that makes harassing comments about him. Probably an ex lover or jealous character.
@@deangelojeremitriusvickers6319 I'll have to check that...i thought he only pulled the soil away to show where the seed was but not actually showing the seed itself
@@bertiethomas960 yea if you look closely and even pause it you’ll see the seed👍🏻 I’ve tried to post a link but it keeps getting deleted, it shows some cotton seed
@@deangelojeremitriusvickers6319 Thanks for the info.....i asked Daniel last year to show the seeds but no luck....he'll maybe see these comments and maybe show these fine seeds in the next video.....cheers
If you import it to the US, it still has to comply with US emissions. You’d be hard pressed to find a willing dealer. They would risk losing their dealer franchise. It’s a big no-no as far as the government and manufacturer.
Well how do these Online Auctions sell imported Tractors? I saw a German built John Deere that Didn’t have Def! If ya Buy a Big enough Engine the New ones don’t take Def! There just picking on the Farmers that Raise our Food !
Nice too see farming and things grow , here is the snow just melted... all the best from NorthNorway
Good Morning Granny ! Thank you Daniel for taking us along for the day and showing us all the ups and downs & in and outs of farming.
Most people run drag hoses to get fertilizer closer to the row. Was wondering why y’all don,t?

Daniel, your y drops should have hoses about 18 inches long, the hoses ride the plant. Your juat miasing pieces to the system

Dang Government! DEF is Stupidity!
If ya Order A Tractor from Overseas you Bypass the Def!
