If you're ever interested in a new series that gets better and better, then I recommend Ash vs the Evil Dead. There are 3 movies, Evil Dead 1 and 2, Army of Darkness and then the series. The series has a lot of gross out humor, but it's still good.

The reason they aged so much between S3 and S4 is covid. They had just started filming S4 when lockdown happened. The younger gang of kids (Max, Mike, El, Will, Dustin & Lucas) are meant to be in 9th grade here.
Yep he original plans was to shoot season 4 and 5 back to back then seoasn5 is delayed because of the writers and actors strikes. Without COVID S4 would have been out in 2021and Season 5 would have been out in 2022 or 2023
@@harryballsak1123 Stranger Things has been really unlucky with these last two seasons. Season 4 started shooting and the day after the world shuts down. Season 5 was about to start production and then the strikes happen.

Grew up in the 70s and 80s. Teachers would always talk about your grades and judge your work in front of everyone. Lots of teachers would sit at their desks and read through all the grades that everyone got on the latest quiz or test, or post them on the wall.

This season uses the satanic panic around dnd well. They use tons of 80's references throughout out all the seasons, but this one is one of my favorites considering it was a real thing and this show uses DnD as a main story device

Stranger things always does a lot of foreshadowing right in front of us. When they rolled the dice, they rolled an 11, but needed 20. To get to 20, they can add 8(kali) and 1 (Vecna). My opinion is the big bad isnt Vecna, Vecna and Kali will help 11

@@Nothing-to-see-heretth thank you, I also believe that the big bad is going to turn out to be the Red Dragon Will was drawing in S4. After watching back the other seasons you can see a dragon in multiple other spots, one of them being a dragon figure above wills bed in season 1.

I really hope, in the next season, Angela meets, or sees El at her full strength. Then she will realise just how lightly she was dealt with by Eleven. If things get so bad, a News crew could televise the events in Hawkins for her to see what El is capable of.

This is maybe little underrated detail, but the detail that Vecna is able to talk to the victims, make it 100x better, made those scenes and moments more scary, and anxious, i loved it

Eleven’s teacher was thee absolute worst! A girl making fun of a kid’s dad dying and their trouble communicating…and she waits until Eleven was humiliated and on the verge of tears to say anything. And all she said was “continue with your presentation.”
The trouble is, when a teacher publicly comes down on the side of the bullied student, it tends to just make the poor kid get bullied more for being a so-called teacher's pet, just like it happens here. Middle school kids can be downright horrible people.
Might be her birthday, but her calling a crossword a sudoku makes me feel old.

The best episodes 4, 7, 8, and 9 this season, but they are all great. Things are going to get insane and wild this season. The stakes are so much higher this season. Yes each episode gets better and better.
8 was not that good, I agree with the others tho. Episode 4 from this season is my favourite episode in whole stranger things
@@jqsperxD Well it was a roller coaster ride but the others were just as amazing and great. Episode 8 had Eleven taking down the military, which was bad ass, probably the coolest scenes in history.
The writing in this season gets EPIC
Of course, it would have been good if you already knew horror movies like Nightmare on Elmstreet and Halloween. This season is totally inspired by Freddy Krüger.
Also, the big theme this season is depression and guilt. If you take all the supernatural out of the show, the scenes you see describe pretty well how depression works. Vacna's nightmare land is actually the world of thoughts of depressed people. Max is the person here who doesn't deal with her depression either. She denies herself to her friends and therapist. She distances herself from her friends, has broken up with Lucas and lives only in her own depression. That's how depression works, and if you don't beat it, it can lead to death. In real life by suicide, here in the series by Vecna.

I will never understand people who think 11 went too far, I'm sorry, she could have ripped Angela's spine out and it wouldn't be too much. The scale is small, but they are no less evil and cruel just because they're kids
I always cheer when that scene happens. Bullies are the worst, and I'll bet she never does it again after seeing what could happen when someone decides they've had enough. Today's kids just seem to shoot each other constantly...that was pretty mild by comparison.

I remember watching episode 2 for the first time and seeing what Elle had to go through brought me back to all those years of being bullied, me fighting back and me getting in trouble and suspended from school many times while they got away with it without consequence. I felt for Elle so much!!!

The one thing this show brings that many do not, is the Music, it's why i love this show. Although i love the story and the cast as well. But wow the music is amazing, and i listen to it on Amazon Music.

Hopper having lost weight was also good timing because the actor played Hell Boy inbetween season 3 and 4 so he had had lots of training for that.
The relationship between Steve and Dustin is awesome. My best friend growing up has a little brother that’s like 4 years younger than me get than us and me and him were really good friends. One time when I was probably 17 the kid calls me crying so I went over to his house and dude had fallen off his bike and gotten his finger caught between the chain and sprocket on his bike and split his finger right down the middle about halfway down. I couldn’t get ahold of my best friend or his mom and had to take him to the hospital and stayed with him while the doctors were talking about amputating his finger. I finally got ahold of his mom and brother but that bonded us and we were best friends after that too.

This was an extraordinary season... the way the Duffer Bros tied everything together between 01 and 11 and how the portal was opened in the first place was just brilliant. Can't wait for the final showdown in Season 5. x
About character's development of El I do feel that could be correct. I mean, El did have a tough personality but she never was the leader of the group, she never interect that much with other than them, and she never has been in such a social situasion as school. So I can buy that she felt shy or unconfortable. Plus all the "cool" things she did to save her friends, she did it because she was the only one that could do that, the only one who has powers. And now, she may be feeling like she is nothing without her powers and feeling depress for Hopper.
But I do think Will did not progress as a character. Like, first season he was totaly gone and almost dead, then he was in that unconfortable situasion with his friends leaving him aside, but last season he was part of the group and had the connection with the monster and end moving out of town. But now he has El who knows about his trauma and they both were dealing with problems but they never get closer to support each other.
Hope he has a grown up as a character for next seasson and a better haircut

When they sing The Never Ending Story in Season 3 you would never be able to hear both of them singing at the same time that is not how a CB or a HAM Radio works as soon as the talk button is pressed all other mic are cut to allow people to hear the message you could clearly hear both voices in the song over the radio this would never happen

One of the things that made Stranger Things such a big hit was the pacing of the episodes. By the end, you just had to see what comes next. I get a similar urge with your style of reactions. You guys are entertaining and I think this format suits this show especially well. Great choice from you both. Looking forward to the next reaction!
I don't know when they had this idea but the coolest thing to me about this season is that the connection of the characters to reality is music. Maybe the writers noticed that making an 80's show automatically turns soundtrack into such an important part of storytelling as the seasons were coming out that they found a new way with this new villain to take it to the next level.

So, in regards to the Fast Times at Ridgemont High reference, I feel I should explain that one, since no one younger than me ever gets it. Back in the days of video rental stores, the tape for that film was infamous for being glitchy and damaged at around the 53 minute mark because that's the scene where Phoebe Cates (as in "Suzie's hotter than Phoebe Cates") took her top off, and the tape would get crinkled from guys rewinding and rewatching that scene over and over. If I had been drinking at the time I would have spat it out laughing when that reference came up, it was so era-specific.

The cool part about Vecna is that is an actual costume old school best quality the actor had to spend hours a day outting it on the only CGI was the moving vines on him and he actually does the voice no auto tune, and yes there is a lot if references to Freddie Kruger in this show him being in the mind of his victims and his long hand instead of long nails and his burnt looking face and Dustin mentions Freddie Krueger later and the actor who plays the older Victor is the actual actor who played Freddie Kruger. That's all i am gonna say about that I don't want to spoil anything

There are definitely other shows that get better as they go along. A great example is Buffy the Vampire Slayer (which is great for reactions, BTW).
