Thank you. Looks like Sherwin-Williams acquired AquaSurTech.

Well I researched and found out, 1. Sherwin Williams has purchased this company. 2. They will not sell to anyone that isn’t a manufacturer. 3. You must prove you have a down draft hvlp paint booth setup before they will even consider selling this to you. 4. I don’t understand why because it’s water base and was originally marketed as DIY.
If anyone finds a way around it let me know. I wanted to get some for products I manufacture out of pvc but sherwin will not work with me.

Thanks for the information. I will admit when we used the product is was slightly challenging to work with. Maybe they are restricting to keep the folks that are using the product to pro level folks. That is only a guess.

@@jake.bruton.aarow.building I think you are correct. I used to work for Sherwin Williams and have a good relationship with them. They said they will only swell up manufacturers now. This product is sold out of a warehouse in Ohio and they requested photos of my paint booth before they would even consider selling. I think it is probably an awesome product for pvc.

It's clear Sherwin Williams (and AquaSurTech who sold out) are looking to basically kill this product as it is likely in competition with SW Vinyl Safe line (which does not include any black options). Instead, I found PPG Architectural Coatings. They sell to small businesses (DIY). Their vinyl safe black paint is $138/gallon including shipping.

Awesome video that answered almost all of my questions! I just have two more, what does the gallon of that cost and how easy is the cleanup when spraying? Thanks!

Is there something to be used on the inside of homes too? Paint the indoor side of the window?

I used zinsser bullseye 1-2-3 primer 2 coats then Behr... TONS of screws... no problem

Understood, however the manufacturer says not just any paint. The movement of PVC and the specific install location would be the deciding factor.

@jake.bruton.aarow.building i agree with you. Screw do not nail.
My context 20 years still no problems using my method.
One window was done by someone else, and they were not screwed down every 8-10" offset inches close to edge... by contractor who didn't listen to my advice. Those did warp. Rest of the house is fine. Screw do not nail.
