Today, the area is largely gentrified, and full of hip new shops and restaurants (not to mention pricey new homes), largely because of its close proximity to Rittenhouse and Fitler Square. That said; the video has Interesting memories and great footage from the past.

The new south street sucks. South Street hasn’t been good since 2000
In the year 2022 , the south street area is a GHETTO !! It never improved .
it's really sad right now. there are virtually no stores. besides like obvious storefronts that sell cheaply made new garbage
