    My AKG K550 Reference headphones faded out at 20Hz unless it was my ears. I'm 51 and have tinnitus so that could be something to do with it. Same with the K702 headset. I can still hear PWM generated pulses down to zero but it's not a bass frequency as such, more the underlying generator or processor noise.
    The K550 have excellent, solid build quality and are great for blocking out noise, somewhat equal to quality 3M Optime II ear defenders and have a pleasing, crisp separation of bass detail with no muddiness from the bass mixing with the midrange whatsoever but do need equalizing to bring it up for music. Deep bass is there in spades but it has to be boosted to bring it forward. Detail, clarity and trebles are their forte but I have an old Technics SU-CH7 based midi-stereo system that gives them the best bass response I've ever heard when I turn on 'Super Bass'. It's like they were made for each other! The bass separation is mind-bending.
    The K702 Reference are overall better for movies, music and gaming out of the box when plugged into your average device and have a detachable lead but they do have a slightly muffled dullness across the range compared to the sparkly and bright K550, from more overall bass and 702 are open backed so don't block out unwanted noise well. Also the cable plug aims straight down at your left shoulder which can be annoying laying in bed and they creak when it rubs or they move. The 550's are silent unless you brush the frame.

      Same here. Something's not right.

    • @JimmyTurboMods
      @JimmyTurboMods Před 4 lety +6

      No the volume is the same but your speakers can't reproduce the lower frequencies. Even if they could, human hearing is less sensitive to lower frequencies so even a 'perfect' sub woofer would still seem quieter at the low end of the spectrum.

    • @Analog_Being
      @Analog_Being Před 4 lety +3

      @@JimmyTurboMods I understand what you're saying. Without a subwoofer (or really good speakers), we won't be able to hear the 30hz and under range from this video.
      My point was that; if I play the video which _specifically_ plays the 30hz test tone (czcams.com/video/ZLGCnRr9WX8/video.html ), the volume is different (on my system with a SVS sub) than the _section_ of *this* video which plays the same 30hz tone (1:48).
      This makes me believe that the volume on this video has fluctuations which will throw off the accuracy of testing our equipment's capability.

    It is about your ear to percipe lowest note with earphones not with a serious 5000 $ 18 inch subwoofer because under 20 hz the frequence don't hear top good is fell in body and glasses from table or shopwindows and it s about to hear pure clearly only frequence. I hear at maximum volume of the phone with jbl intraauricular earphones the lowest frequence 7 hz !!! slow perception. At 10 hz is sharing powefull and have a little nausea to vomiting. Attention if you hear that frequencies!🤯

    Could you make and post a seep of frequency spectrum from 300 Hz to 40 Hz stimulate hair cells in reverse slope hearing loss ? (can`t hear low tones)
    The single 1 Hz change down in should have per ca. 4 sec duration.... creating a treatment for reverse hearing loss could cause you a millionare.
    The reason to stimulate damaged hair cells in ears is to focus of low long tones and the user increase the volume graduaLly....by a user I found it helpful in my treatment.

      Means youre hearing is normal. No one can hear lower, despite the comments in here. What youre hearing is the speakers moving back and forth
