I finally attempted this song last night when my cousins came over. I made it such a big deal because I heard how INSANE this song was on Challenge, and I, being a massive DDR fanatic, wanted to attempt the first 19-foot stepchart in DDR history with a trusted audience. It's worth knowing I was scared to death of this song. I mean this song is JUST PLAIN MADNESS!!!!!!! How the F could ANYONE do this on the pad?!?! My first try on this stepchart, I got a C, on the controller! I'm still stunned..
The Valkyrie Dimension is composed of Anti-Matter,and can only be found on a New Decade. I know. It was a Sunrise with Sakuras falling. Out of nowhere, a blinding beam of light had Pierced The Sky, and fell on me. Suddenly, I found myself in a Shiny World. A dark figure slowly approached me. It was Dark Rinon. She was trying to get me under her Possession. I tried to escape. It failed. I shut my eyes, and when I opened them I was home. Nah, Just kidding.
To this day, I don’t know how people could actually full combo this. This song, especially challenge, is brutal. Trust me, I’ve played this. …OK, I had to use a Wii Remote and Nunchuck, but my point still stands.
You're unfortunately right about that... that crazy stream followed by an insane amount of crossovers later on can literally tear up your legs. And keep trying with those 12s!
Better idea: 1) Record the screen capture while watching at 2x. 2) Reupload the video via the screen capture. Speed THAT video up by 2x. 3) Repeat steps 1) and 2) however many times as you like. XD
After 10 years, a pfc is very close to our corner thanks to Chris life, who unfortunately got a miss on the jump on the first 186 BPM section, 3 greats on the second last section, and on the final stream a great at the random jump.
Yes, there are players who had been so many close to do the full combo, only a little more and they have it, but answering your question, it´s total humanly possible.
Not only that, their sight-readings and crossover executions are impressive as well. As for the BPM, 47 BPM is that slow scrolling arrow thing near the end, while the 744 BPM comes from the freeze arrow after the insane run. The main BPM is 186 BPM but the 480 BPM stalls any effective use of speed mods...^^ You're welcome BTW. :)
Wow, no kidding. Those two probably practice DDR every single day to be able to master something like that! I didn't know that speed-up was 480 BPM; the song's listed as 47-744 BPM so I don't know the "normal" BPM in the song at all. Thanks.
I find DDR focuses more on trickiness and paying close attention, whilst ITG focuses on speed and stamina. They've both grown in their own ways, so in a way they're only semi comparable.
Rin-go! and Brosoni, the best Japanese DDR players, both got an A on pad. Though, I admit that 8th notes, 480 BPM (16 steps/second) speed-up at the beginning is just insane to master. :/
Guys, how do you even autoplay on a Wii DDR game? I think I have an idea, but I won’t do it until late September... I do have DDR 2010 & DDR II for the Wii.
Its apparently a trade secret at this point, my dear. I did hear that at least for the PS2 mixes, that was a GameShark code (and apparently not a Japan version I ly feature?).
It might be in Australia/Asia only, but the latest arcade version (with the bar/hard dance floor) is X3 vs 2nd Mix. This looks a lot like it, so I thought this might be it.
@ DoomThroughDoom -- not a 16. That first run is fast, but it's very short and easily passable. In terms of passing difficulty (which is how ITG judges), this is no more than a 15. There's a video of someone getting only 10 misses on this song (look up Kaze's Valkyrie Dimension video).
@SlickDX536 I don't think you quite understand how much this song takes a massive dump on every other Replicant-D-Action power house.. The only thing that bothers me is what a 20 will look like...
Valkyrie Dimension: the bullet hell of rhythm games...rhythm hell? Still an awesome song and an awesome vid to go with it but fucking shit, this was made for robots.
I don't know if you found this in your searches yet, but here's a video of just that: watch?v=HUyXTIl599g It's the only one I know of right now that shows someone playing it and a good enough view of the screen at once.
"I said with the exceptions of customs." Yes I know, I can read. I just wanted your thought process to why you believe Valkyrie Dimension would be an ITG 16. The only reason people differentiate between between DDR and ITG is because of the customs anyway. But let's talk ITG2 Officials strictly. Vertex^2 is rated a 13 and is in no way inferior in difficulty to let's say Pluto Relinquish, rated 18 in the DDRX series.
Xpirior eh, you say that but saitama ain't no god. Yes he is hella strong but I doubt he has that much coordination. If he breathed on the machine he would smash it into the earths crust.
My response to the DDR vs ITG mini-war: Who the f*** cares? Just because your games harder doesn't make it better. And just because songs like Valkyrie Dimension are common doesn't make better. Let's all agree on one thing: DDR or ITG are way better than HSM3. Now we make peace.
I'm about to try this song on Difficult. I can AA and full combo beginner and basic so far... I really want to see someone getting an AAA on this 19-footer...
Anyway, would it be harder to pass this on an ITG machine ? I mean, on DDR X you have narrow timing windows, on ITG the timing windows are wide and the pads are more sensitive, but the lifebar of ITG empties faster than the lifebar of DDR X. In terms of stamina, the song is not long but.... the chart is stupid, you can't get a decent score on this, the patterns used are exhausting.
Is this really an ITG 16? Can't really tell since I dunno how fast each part with with like the 1x speed or w/e the mod is. I'd guess a 14 or 15 but what do I know since I'm only at an upper 13 level lol.
16, lmao... I can't believe your comment got that many likes. Just cause the ITG community sucks/dislikes crossovers it doesn't make it a 16 it just means they aren't good at technique. Hard 13/Easy 14 is appropriate.
Your thought process on why this would be a 16 for ITG? The 240 BPM 16th run is a few mere seconds. A real 16 speed song such as Oh Delia! and Wheelpower & GO! in the Tachyon Delta pack run at that around that speed for easily 15 seconds (twice) and 20 Seconds + respectively. This is a higher end 14 ITG wise, and that is being generous. Your judgement shows you lack any real knowledge on the difficulty scaling used by ITG players.
My Reaction when playing this song: Alright, just got a new song! Lets try and play it. Ima go challenge cuz ima G! Alright loading lets start! Pfft, this isn't that hard. Cmon, this is nothing! Wh..woah, its picking up the pace. Oh..o-crap this is kinda fast! Wait slowdown! I can't keep u- WHAT THE FUCK
Couple of questions, assistance greatly appreciated: What console is this on? What is the game's full title? Is there a home edition of DDR x3 vs. 2nd mix?
I don't think it's the overuse of gimmicks that (specifically) makes this bad, it's more just that it's sloppily written with terrible step-rhetoric and it's horribly, awkwardly patterned.
thats my usually criticism of ddr..the game sucked after extreme i mean i still play supernova and 2 arcade machines but look at the facts..first thing you notice when you play itg is that its simplistic and well charted most songs can sound super happy and be tougher than these songs if they want a challenge play itg custom but it gets annoying they clutter the notes up....summer and pink fluffy bunnys is harder than this proly lol
0:00 - 0:30 "Hey, even I can do this!" 0:36 *Spits out coffee*
"Who hurt you, Konami?"
ITG. ITG did.
Mikasa Ackermann ITG charts are unfair I can’t even pass a 9 in that game
super underrated comment
Konami did sue Roxor for patent infringement in 2005, leading to Konami purchasing the ITG ip a year later
Ladies and gents, i present to you, The Flash's morning exercise.
weird flex but ok @the flash

It's amazing to think people can actually do this shit. Even the autoplay doesn't do completey perfect.
PocketWolf no its just like that
Xpirior You realize I was joking right, I'm aware of how the autoplay functions
No im serious all the time. No not really
what?
I'm sure that the programmers just mashed their heads on the keyboards to make this chart
YTP andmore BABAHHAHAHAH
That would explain the jump in the ending stream.
ultramix 1's charts 😫
Clearly the programmers didn't care about their player's well-being.

I'll tell you what. I'm really eager to see what a 20 would be like
19 is as high as they go right now.
10 years later and the whole world is waiting with you man 😭😭
DID THEY LEGIT EXPECT PEOPLE TO PASS THIS ON A WII SOFTPAD
You're unfortunately right about that... that crazy stream followed by an insane amount of crossovers later on can literally tear up your legs. And keep trying with those 12s!
That is disturbing, but OK.
Now speed up the vid 2x
Thats evil
+GigaLem I have an idea. Maybe someone can upload this on 2.0x speed on StepMania so we can watch it at 4x speed on CZcams.
oh god
Better idea:
1) Record the screen capture while watching at 2x.
2) Reupload the video via the screen capture. Speed THAT video up by 2x.
3) Repeat steps 1) and 2) however many times as you like.
XD
dont threaten me with a good time

Only Barry Allen can do a Full combo in this song xD
insane chart that's really true, i think it's the hardest song in all DDRs, still want to see it charted for IIDX. :)
I seriously lost the food out of my mouth when that BPM spiked.
I find DDR focuses more on trickiness and paying close attention, whilst ITG focuses on speed and stamina. They've both grown in their own ways, so in a way they're only semi comparable.
Uh, yeah...we're supposed to be able to do that on our FEET?!?!
Trust me, people have passed, even AA'd this song before. It's just not very easy...at all.
And that's YOU, having cleared Silver Dream saying that. I think that means something.
But yeah, you could say they raised the difficulty.
0:36
and then I flipped endless tables
why, konami
That first long stream.. 65-note stream at 480 bpm....ugh...
744*
Yorky Porky That stream *is* thankfully "only" at 480 BPM. The 744 BPM parts are the freeze right after it (at 0:41) and the freeze at 1:35.
Haha, I don't think anyone could pass that if it was 744 bpm (for all you fellow ITG players out ther, that's 372bpm 16ths.)
Alphax ™ I think +Matt Gardner a.k.a. Mad Matt would happily take on that kind of challenge. :D
I feel like at that point, anyone would have to bracket as fast as possible. Even though it's only 4 measures.
this must be the hardest song on ddr! anyone who can pass this song on challenge with their feet and get an A is a great ddr player. ddritg
Boy: Your name must be Valkyrie Dimension.
Girl: Why?
Boy: Because I can't get pass you!
Rin-go! and Brosoni, the best Japanese DDR players, both got an A on pad. Though, I admit that 8th notes, 480 BPM (16 steps/second) speed-up at the beginning is just insane to master. :/

To think Brosoni and FEFEMZ passed this demon in GFC.
Years later: Now Chris is fighting this menace and got the WR.
Good or great full combo?
I think it was good for now.
now, Chris is dealing the hit. while he got the Great FC, his record didn't have it.
It's DDR: Hottest Party 5, or DDR II. Released on the Wii in 2011
It might be in Australia/Asia only, but the latest arcade version (with the bar/hard dance floor) is X3 vs 2nd Mix. This looks a lot like it, so I thought this might be it.
Were you using Dolphin while recording this? It looks so great on 720p!!
69 Freeze Arrows. Nice.
When you rotate your body 90 degrees away from the screen... or hitting the right arrow with left foot and the left arrow with right foot.
This would be at least a 16 for ITG, dem jumps and crossovers. This song is harder than anything in ITG2 (with the exceptions of customs).
@SlickDX536 I don't think you quite understand how much this song takes a massive dump on every other Replicant-D-Action power house.. The only thing that bothers me is what a 20 will look like...
*Two comments arguing over ITG vs DDR being harder*
*Meanwhile, two tabs over, in a mystical land called IIDX...*
Pluto Relinquish was the first 19.
@LOGHabbo Yes, welcome to DDR X2...
ending and that part around 60 or 70 combo are like impossible
That run at the beginning reminds me of the 24th runs of Determinator in ITG2, except faster and more spreaded. :/
Yeah, at least Determinator had somewhat straightforward patterns on it's runs.
how is this even possibly done ...
What has the world come to when not even autoplay can get marvelous on all the notes
This is ddr's epic hardest song! I also just want to say that ddr will simply always be superior to itg. What's to argue? ;)
0:36 OH MY GOD O_O
Valkyrie Dimension: the bullet hell of rhythm games...rhythm hell?
Still an awesome song and an awesome vid to go with it but fucking shit, this was made for robots.
The sexual things I'd do to a scraggy...
Dude your my hero! You can do the valkyrie demention challenge! Can I be your friend? Lol
It released on Wii like 2 years ago.
I don't know if you found this in your searches yet, but here's a video of just that: watch?v=HUyXTIl599g
It's the only one I know of right now that shows someone playing it and a good enough view of the screen at once.
Nice! :D

Chuck norris do this with 1 feet
Vitor Passos saitama can do this with one finger0. No. his breath
Xpirior eh, you say that but saitama ain't no god. Yes he is hella strong but I doubt he has that much coordination. If he breathed on the machine he would smash it into the earths crust.
Brynhildr then he will do it with his mind
What was Dark Rinon doing in a place full of light? LOL, nice story though =)
that's what they all say
怖えぇ~
That's really insane chart. I hardly imagine doing it on keyboard, what to say about pad ._.
how can you not be distracted by the video?
Character: Rinon
omg... hes playing it
that was my reaction when i tried this song...AND FAILED MISERABLY.
Probably Dolphin, considering this is also HD.
Of course, total humanly possible it´s not equal to be easy
I know but still, I want to see someone do this with a foot cam.
this is impressive. i'm impressed
the only console port with a 19
You'd probably be well and truly familiar with this song by the time you reached a high enough combo for those to appear...just saying :P
We would freak about 0:36 first because we can't even make it to 1:37.
Mmm, I'm pretty sure that's still an 18, according to DDR X2. Unless you're talking out Doubles Mode, then maybe, I haven't checked that yet...
………..what
Even the autoplay matchine gets only Perfects sometimes ._.
to me this song looks a lot less harmless when played on this interface.
パラレボ・440以前のラスボス
I'm about to try this song on Difficult. I can AA and full combo beginner and basic so far...
I really want to see someone getting an AAA on this 19-footer...
yes, it's harder
Holy fuck.

Are my eyes broken or did they put a JUMP in that 400 bpm+ stream?? 2:00
They put a JUMP in the last part. Hello, random jump!
@godofnopants ITG
O.o I wanna try it now.
Is this really an ITG 16? Can't really tell since I dunno how fast each part with with like the 1x speed or w/e the mod is. I'd guess a 14 or 15 but what do I know since I'm only at an upper 13 level lol.
It's not that the song is impossible (even though it looks it) It's just that the wii ddr pad would probably get destroyed if you attempted this :P
he put autoplay for specific reasons
I got nothing. It escalated too quickly!
DDR's scale is out of 20. ITG's scale is out of 15 -.-' This on the ITG scale would be about 14.5
16, lmao... I can't believe your comment got that many likes. Just cause the ITG community sucks/dislikes crossovers it doesn't make it a 16 it just means they aren't good at technique. Hard 13/Easy 14 is appropriate.
Has this ever been AAA'd? On Singles Challenge NOT Auto-play? Or even a GFC (good full combo)
neither
Chris Chike just did
+Alfred MacDonald link to video?
lol it was done ages ago man
OMFG WTF so hard! It'll take 10 to do this
I mean 10 years
hanselhimawan I know right
X says it was a 19.
Was this version not released in the U.S. for home console?
Your thought process on why this would be a 16 for ITG?

Game: DanceDanceRevolution II
I don't think it's the overuse of gimmicks that (specifically) makes this bad, it's more just that it's sloppily written with terrible step-rhetoric and it's horribly, awkwardly patterned.
I wonder if he can FC it on Challenge...
Rin-go did it with his feet yeah, it's the last song: watch?v=K9_boT4N5uY
thats my usually criticism of ddr..the game sucked after extreme i mean i still play supernova and 2 arcade machines but look at the facts..first thing you notice when you play itg is that its simplistic and well charted most songs can sound super happy and be tougher than these songs if they want a challenge play itg custom but it gets annoying they clutter the notes up....summer and pink fluffy bunnys is harder than this proly lol
it isn't impossible, RIN GO! beat it with an a
