Mike, I’m not sure how I feel about this one. I think I love it but at the same time there are things I don’t care for. The park bench around the fire looks about as comfortable as sitting on nails. Have you ever sat on a park bench? Oh yeah, you just did. They need to put more comfortable seating out there and more than just seating for two. The headless statue is a little morbid, is it supposed to be making a statement? If so it’s the wrong one. The cottage itself is amazing! The furnishings and decor is perfect in tune with the character of the structure. These people totally nailed it. The porch seating looks comfortable and inviting. The bathroom also is very nice, but it does seem to take up a lot of the space for such a small cottage. The outdoor shower is awesome! It has to feel awesome to be outdoors completely naked to take your shower!

All of the critics on your voice need to apply the same level of criticism to their own videos. Your work is good and professional. It made me want to visit this place. Maybe add a little more b-roll but over all a good video.
I love it, yet in Virginia it will get very cold and a outdoor shower will not be used in the winter so this means the main valves will be shut to prevent the lines from freezing.
This has no English cottage vibe at all. This is pure Americana and I’m here for it! 😍

He was referring to the bathroom, not the whole cottage. My house is decorated English Cottage and the bathroom does look very English Cottage. This is the best tiny house, cottage I have ever seen.
I'm from the UK. It's so not an English or Scottish country cottage. Have been to country areas in the USA and it's definitely a USA country living vibe. English country cottage is lots of florals and light colours, not wood everywhere (that's more a cabin which is not common in the UK).

Glad you explained this isn't English. I've never been but I've spent 30 years reading about and studying English style. I live about 2 hours from Dugspur, VA. It's Appalachian/Blue Ridge mountain cabin and a fancy cabin. No rustic here. I don't know how anyone could even think this is English cottage style. To me, nothing about it says says cottage...cabin, yes, cottage, no. Even if owner says a particular style, I think the reviewer needs to know and/or do a bit of research to promote a style. Disappointed. Kept waiting for the cottage part.

I stayed here with my ex husband and we got snowed in for Valentines day with over 2 feet of snow and it just made this place even more romantic! Highly recommend going!!

Probably way overpaid too. I hate this new culture of all these amazing spaces being built, not so you can live there, so you can pretend to live nice for a week. Hundreds of thousands of amazing spaces being rented to other wealthy people so they can have the novelty for a little bit. Instead of a world where places like are built for families and not with profit in mind

@@chance2413 Not at all! Incredibly affordable! We went a few years ago and my sister and her husband are going next year, 120$ a night! This place has been open to people for a long time is more about the experience than a profit. Perhaps you have gone to some unpleasant places that yes I'm sure overcharged but this place and the owners are just darling!
I am from this area, and we call it “God’s Country” for a reason… beautiful landscape and friendly people. This is one of the most enchanting homes that I have ever seen. Thank you for the video!

This little home is to die for. It's magical, in the yard you could wait for a fairy to take some water out of the water falls. Thw bathroom omg is just unbelievable. Sit in the tub watch it snow just gorgeous. The out door shower is pretty cool to

Great cottage! Changes? Remove the TV. If one really needed to watch something there are phones, tablets and laptops (provided there is WiFi). But with a good book - good reading or good company - good conversations.

OMG - amazing proportions inside!!! In Feng Shui experts seldom talk about proportions to create cozy cozy cozy - YUMMMM. 4 trees in front are overwhelming the front… shaving them back to create an archway of sorts might do the trick 🥰✨🙏

Anytime I've ever imagined myself moving to snowy Alaska, I've always pictured myself living in a humble cottage/cabin like this....only with more kitchen space, and a separate bedroom.
I love that bathroom layout, just not crazy about the pictures; but not putting down anybody's sense of style.

the outside is badly overgrown... it doesn't need a highly manicured lawn or anything but someone has let it go. Love the Livingroom with the stone fireplace, the floor looks like real pine. Kitchen layout looks like an afterthought.... Nicest bathroom i have ever seen

Magical! Worth the wait bud, I love it so much! I definitely love the bath tub, and that huge woody vine something at the kitchen island :) Now I can sleep :D

This cottage is beautiful. It looks very cozy and warm. The kitchen is a little small, but it is adequate for everything a person might need. The bathtub is very nice, but I have not taken a bath since I was 7 years old. I prefer showers. The shower area is nice and seems large and spacious. In the outside area, I think there should be more benches. And finally, it is too bad that this place is not for sale.

I can imagine staying at this cottage would be like a dream you don't want to wake up from.
I could almost guarantee that the Murphy bed would always be down!!! But, it'd sure make it easier to clean underneath it when it's in it's storage position!! Cozy, comforting place. I think I'd be very happy there, providing I had a 4-wheeler to get bnb to my car and bring in the groceries.

Tiny little wood stove would slide in perfectly in bathroom so you can really enjoy tub in chillier days. Otherwise amazing.

This cottage is perfect and has everything anyone would ever need! So perfect.
The Living room really stood out to me, and the fireplace, furniture all fit in well. The outside with firepit and waterfalls and flowers growing wild around home seemed so right. The fact it is down in under hills made me think how it must have plenty of water?
The bathroom was great and covered all one should need and the bedroom next to it worked out so nicely. I think they had 'a door between the other areas?' Something to use anyway, to divide it up?
The kitchen was a bit small but it was fine. Doubt it had dish washer? It would use lots of water maybe, and can live without it.
Could move right into it. Would be very comfortable am sure! More for one or two people. I think outdoor shower would be nice on hot days! The porches were a good size. IfI owned it I may in time try enclosing with screen for nights? Do not think it did have that? *So bugs would not bite and can sit or sleep out there* Thank you!
