Who's still listening & watching this in 2024 ❤
Me!!! And I am getting teared eyes and goosebumbs. They are that good. I like to show it to my son. He is in awe. Cheers from Australia
Yep !!😊
Massive amount of art in one place -- gives me hope for humanity for a few minutes.
Me, and it was the greatest performance I’ve seen in 51 years!!!!! Saw the tour twice in 1994! I’ve seen well over 250 shows, and this beautiful performance was the absolute greatest!
Me, getting bored with local gigs work, watching for bring back my passionately 🙄
Don't care what anybody says this is probably the greatest concert ever put on film. No band will ever come close to Pink Floyd PULSE.
I couldn't agree more. I went to it. Probably not this 1 but EVERYTHING was the same. Right down to "Thank you very much indeed. Good evening. Alright let's get straight on wit it". That's right before Learning to fly I believe. However. Hear me out. As far as a single goes. I'm not a fan but like a couple songs. Pearl Jam, MTV Unplugged. The song Black. Their is no greater emotion of a performance. He took his break up extremely hard. Didn't want to perform the song but was convinced by his band mates. I'm Pink Floyd through and through. But that single performance can't be beat. Hope you check it out.
apart from the Roger Waters shows that are blatently better in every concievable way
@@donnyjevons5437 your either a troll or your just a waters fan, I respect people's opinions but to say waters concerts are better in every way is just ludicrous. 1) waters can't sing for shit. 2) waters is nothing without the rest of Pink floyd. This concert just shows that the rest of the band are probably better without waters. Admittedly waters is a fantastic song writer so is gilmour. That's my opinion.
@@keithgarr5522 so what you're saying is that he's a troll or he's wrong? Cause I would completely agree, however I think waters does have a great voice, Gilmore is just significantly better
Not quite familiar with PFloyd except for Another Brick in the Wall. Upon seeing this, I totally AGREE to your comment. By far, the best Live concert I've seen from a lot. 👍💯🎉🍾✌️
No stupid costumes.
No overly elaborate stage setting.
No foul language
No destruction of equipment
No lip syncing
Just live music from the best band from the past 50 years, dressed like they're going to the pub for a couple of pints🤣 awesome concert. Probably the best in the past 30 years
I agree with you. They are the masters of their craft! Endless inspiration! Great respect to the superb band, they are a class of their own!
Okay, let's not get carried away here.
This was one of the most elaborate and incredible stage shows of all time. They even had aircrafts flying across the arena lol don't act like this was just them out there by themselves in bar clothes. The production of this was beyond top notch, and definitely contributed to the legacy of this concert.
And that's not something to be downplayed, or looked at in a negative light. They all worked very hard to provide their fans with an unforgettable experience.
Here in Brasil we would say: Matou a pau!
@@D_2387
Exactly. It was one of the biggest concert productions of the early to mid 90s, and that stage was a fucking monster. There was actually 2 of them, one would be in use, and the other would be in transit/being erected.
ure right, they are just their music and dont need anything else
I'm 72, and I never get tired of Pink Floyd, a truly timeless band...😮😮
Yo tengo 63 y desde los 12 años lo oigo.
You are so right. I'm 55 and feel the same. Unfortunately never got to see Pink Floyd live but thrilled to bits that David Gilmour is doing these shows in the US in fall. Just got tickets.
Not *entirely* timeless. Track 3, dark side 🤣

Nice one mate, thanks.
I worked on this tour in 1994 ! What a blast ! 600 technicians to build the stage. 55 trucks on the road.....I was 22 years old.
That's bad ass. I bet the sculptures were huge
@@andyisalwaysanxious8599 Yes and the plane we crashed on the right side of the stage every night!
... I worked at Earls Court when this was filmed including the first night that never was, probably one of the best gigs I have ever seen
I can not imagine the overheads on that tour, the amount of people you mention there, plus what no doubt would have been a pretty good wage for the additional musicians, especially the long term ones like Guy Pratt
@@drexlspivey5828 Yes it is by far the best tour i have been on. I only worked in Europe.
I met Guy Pratt many times and he gave me picks (No more left)
If i knew i would have asked more from the band. I gave so many stuff to friends at that time!....
thank you !
2024 is the 30 year anniversay of this gem! 🎉🎉
Thanks to all the members of Pink Floyd for changing our lives, and for being the best band in history, in my opinion! This concert is a special one for me!
Recorded 30 years ago, and it was effectively a reunion. Oh how I hate my Rock heroes getting old. The bastards are dragging me along with them to the grave. lol
@@Azznbad 😂😂 It's true! Curse them for not staying young!! 😁😁
30 years. How the hell did THAT happen? Feels like I just went to the store and bought the CD pack when it came out.
@@unrecognizedtalent3432 It's really hard to believe understandably, but I would say this is still an essential concert that anyone who grew up with Pink Floyd will cherish. One of the very best for me, too!
@@BJDJ Essential to watch for any Pink Floyd fans!
Not many people here seem to be appreciating the lighting, truly badass, one of the greatest rigs of all time most likely
For sure and it was much harder back then than it is today.
💯
I saw them July 10 1994 at RFK and I can relate to people not appreciating the stellar light show I had the farthest seats you could the last row of seats at the back and on the upper level so all I saw was the light show and the close ups on the screen but I have to tell you that was the best concert I've ever seen...audio and lighting were perfect
That light show was designed and programed by David Gilmore !!
Eu sempre aprecio cada mínimo detalhe deste momento alucinante.
In 1994 I didn't have much money and Pink Floyd was scheduled to play in a football stadium a mile from my apartment in Raleigh, NC. Every day I had to drive by that stadium and the day of the show, I could see the stage set up and at that point decided I just had to go. On my way to work, I heard on the radio that some seats were being released near the front of the stage. I wound up on the 12th row to see the best concert of my life. That concert was a great memory until I discovered this video today. The show was just as good as I remembered it.
That’s awesome!
I got to see this show in Toronto in 1994. Agreed, best show EVER.
😢😢😅😮
😢
sorte sua moro no brasil e quando eles vem pra cá e num estado muito longe de onde moro😢
Might be the greatest concert ever.
The 6 minute Solo by David Gilmour in Comfortably Numb is just a masterpiece of epic proportions
This solo was something from another galaxy....
Is regarded as the best guitar solo in rock music history.
It is, I think
Definitely I mean he could’ve extended it another 10 minutes and I would’ve been fine with it! Pink Floyd are Gods of rock
I read somewhere in a magazine that he wrote that solo in one go
Sometimes I think the best thing that can happen to someone is Pink Floyd ❤️
Happened to me a few months back 👍🏻
Que c'est drôle... réfléchissez...
The best thing to happen to the world, it has united people from all lands, no other band can make that claim.
I blame myself so bad because I had never spent time to listen to these genius before...
When I was a kid I used to have the pulse DVD and I would watch it for hours after school, I used to rock out so hard to this I would be sweating after, to me this will always be the best live performance of all time
When I have an anxiety attack, I walk on the beach, on the sand, singing almost all the songs, it doesn't matter if it rains, if it's a cold or sunny day.

THEEE BEST… omg.
Well said man..
This is legendary! I was so lucky to see this concert in Arrowhead Stadium in 1994 I do not have the words to describe what a life experience it was! I would not trade it for ANYTHING there is no way to even capture the experience on film. It was something that you need to see for yourself, thank you Pink Floyd, for the best experience of my life!
It sometimes saddens me that many of today's generation will never experience the raw, infiltered emotion and artistic authenticity that is Pink Floyd. At least we have memories like this one to look back on. Simply the greatest band, ever.
I’m 69 and have been playing music since I was 12 and just can’t imagine what it takes to put all that together!! Those guys are a 100 years ahead of themselves!
R.I.P. Richard Wright. One very integral part of the band that can't be replaced. We'll never see anything like this again. I was 17 when I saw them on this tour. No concert ever came close since.
Well said echoes ect.chords for great gig in the sky...
no te olvides ke tambien nos dejo claudia fontaine
The band genre had waned. What a shame. Musicians no more . Dire Straits, Supertramp. But wait, watch Rumours of Fleetwood Mac.
Yup. As soon as he passed they said they would never reunite.
Richard was never given the credit that he deserved from Waters, who regarded him virtually as just a session musician with them. His arrogance was unbelievable and shameful. All of them made Floyd what they were, not just one man who thought that he WAS Floyd. Megalomania is a dangerous thing! They did beautifully without him!

I didn't see Roger Walters, love it!
I'm from India and 20 years ago during my medical college life in Shimla I happened to come across an English boy of our age on a visit to India and we invited him to our hostel for a dinner...where while listening to this song at dinner someone asked him..do you know pink floyd?...he smiled and replied.." they are not a band.. they are a legend back home"..
Full wide-distance three dimensional quadraphonic sound. PA up high in each corner of the stadium. Beyond what headphones or smaller spaces can produce at home. Amazing to hear it in-person. Their greatest special effect was their sound system.
When I went to see the Wall at the LA Coliseum, I had eaten brownies 😏and was very medicated. I awoke to the sound of a biplane coming from the back of the audience and moved with the plane until a loud explosion, similar to this concert. Many inflatables from the earlier Animals tour and Welcome to the Machine and huge Marionettes were only superseded by the videos of marching Hammers and flowers doing a mating dance projected on the Wall that was still under construction at the beginning of the concert. Needless to say, I was awake for the rest of the concert ✌👍🔈🔉🔊☮
seen this live twice in 94 in London also saw them in Manchester in 88 @ amlor tour I'm 56 and still no concert or band can touch the mighty Floyd live it's like a out of body experience seeing them live
Used to watch this as a kid in my father's arms we would sit infront of the TV and sing our hearts out this very show I have been looking for so long thanks. Every time Ive had enuff of this shit world I play this and it takes me straight back to that safe place In his arms never new all the life lessons it taught me till now am 35. love you dad always be my best friend hope you see this one day and it makes you feel like the best dad in the world that you are.

Same Story of Mine. ❤
I'm 35 too . The first time I was aware of this I was about 17 my mom bought me the DVD and I ate some mushrooms and watched it alone in our apartment...well needless to say it had a profound impact on my musical brain from they're on out.. playing guitar 6 hours a day for the next 10 years lol
I can still put the blame on my voices I hear on youtube cause my phones been hacked.
Whenever I no it's floyed Jenny jones and youtube huh Mom
Not a single note was played out of place.
Just one simple word describes this: PERFECT.
Their music is an experience. It’s spiritual.
April 2024. 30 years from this out of this world concert and it is as magical and mesmerising as ever.
Thank you Pink Floyd. Simply the best❤
The greatest concert of all time for me .
Блин, вот то же самое. Это эпоха, которая останется в прошлом, вместе с этими музыкантами. И мне кажется, таких уже не будет. Но эти люди будут жить вечно, потому что забыть то, сколько они сделали для музыки - невозможно
Comcerteza. Assisti quando tinha onze anos de idade claro que em vídeo infelizmente... Queria que fosse hoje estava lá sem custo sem dúvida não tem dinheiro que pague esta obra prima..

To think that this concert took place almost 30 years ago boggles the mind. This band was, and is to this day, the best ever, bar none. No other band comes close to producing music and live shows like Pink Floyd. I saw them live in Toronto, Division Bell Tour, seats were floor, front row - centre stage and we were mesmerized from beginning to end.
No he visto en mi vida mejor concierto que este. Pink Floyd es el grupo de rock mas espectacular de la historia. Desde Chile toda mi admiración por David y compañía.
Here it is 2022 February the 22nd and I'm still listening to Pink Floyd I'm addicted

Every note in this concert is technically perfect! I listen to this every night...what a masterpiece
This will never..ever..get old . masterpieces each note...

By far, the best band, ever. Even at my age of 85, I can listen over and over again and never get tired of the music. It is too bad that David Gilmore retired. I really don't believe that anyone else can play the guitar like he does. I will miss him.
The Floyd will live forever! No other band comes close to this musical genius! 💙🏴
that's right
Rammstein🤫
Doesn't even come close,nice try though.👍😄
Queen
But Rolling Stone ranked them below Elton John, which pissed me off so much.
An unrepeatable rock band!
I was 24, now I'm almost 52.
But I love Pink Floyd just as much, I listen to them with the same joy and emotion.
Each concert remains a unique page of history.
Thank you and I am happy to be contemporary with you!
Exactly the same ,a seventies child watching these geniuses.Grateful to have witnesed this. Still take me away today. BRILLIANT ONE TIME CHANCE.
Coincidentally I was also 24 and I'm also nearly 52.
One of the most memorable nights in my life.
I'm also 52 lol. Started listening to Floyd at age 12 & been with me as No1 since. I was at this concert too & 100% agree, no band tops Pink Floyd! The greatest.. There music is a passion, note by note!! 👍🇬🇧
Once you've listened to Pink Floyd, you'll just love them more and more as you get older. For some other genres of music, you may outgrow them. But for Pink Floyd, the more mature you become, the more you understand their music. I started listening to them when I was 15 and was instantly hooked. But now when I'm 34 can I experience their music's meaning and enjoy them even more. Will try to keep it for my kid.
I must been 19. Last week I saw Nick Mason s Saucerful of secrets. And I have to say, they are getting old. I am getting old. That makes me sad a bit depressed
This live performance of sorrow (and the whole show) encapsulates everything that an artistic soulful musical experience should be. These Guys were IT.
I started to listen to Pink Floyd at 14 I'm now just coming up to 64 they always go as far as humanly possible to be the best they can and it shows in everything they have ever done, they are bloody fantastic

Wow oh wow… 22 year old me and five of my mates came down from Liverpool to London for this, what an experience, I still remember it like yesterday. The weed was good and london wasn’t as much of a rip off as it is now. Left a part of my brain at Earl’s Court that night. Pure magic.
We all left part of our brains at Earl's that night, given freely. I left part of my 32 year old brain behind lol
Total and utter masterpiece by all those outstanding musicians. And as usual, Sir David Gilmour was faultless hitting every note with complete clarity, both voice and guitar. Brilliance personified.
I was actually at the second night of this concert in earls Court was one of the best nights of my life
Was that the night after the seating collapsed?
Cant remember the exactly t dozens upon dozens times i used to listen to this vhs tapes back in t day in Portugal it was a gift for my father ... my mother always have my back to this day love you mom and the world!
Saw this show live when I was 14 ... unforgettable experience till today
Despite all their bad, inter band politics, bad luck, unfortunate, un avoidable dramas, heart aches & breakdowns...they have soldiered on. Gave us many, many meaningfull albulms & live performances. Im a massive fan & seen lots & lots of live stuff & been at Gilmour gigs & Waters gigs but for me...this is perfection. This is what they have been rehearsing for. Im a fan of many, many other bands & genres but...this is the benchmark. Nothing & no one, even 27yrs later comes anywhere near close to this...& no one ever will !!! Shine on.
Blessing not so in disguise?
Yes,Yes ,Yes!#!#

The best concert I’ve ever been to. What a night. Level 2 overlooking the stage.
Nick Mason has this crazy ability to just relax a whole band without it feeling like everything is slowing down. Amazing drummer with a huge pocket.
Just look at those Ferraris 😀😀😀😀😀🚘🚘🚘🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🍺🍺🍺
Back in the '80s I got know Nick through doing some electrical and plumbing work for him in his Kentish Town Garage and staff accommodation, followed by some work on his stage warehouse which was full of racing cars and sportscars, where I also met David, I was totally star struck, then the '90s I met him again and he gave me a couple of backstage tickets to this concert!
During the interval I got backstage and met the band and specially Sam Brown who was such a lady, I fell totally for her and again was star struck -- what woman!! 💓

Никаких понтов, только вечная музыка. Брависимо! 👏👏👏
There are so many great Pink Floyd songs but dammit, High Hopes just takes the cake for me. That is one of my favorite songs of all time in any genre of music 🙌🏼
Linda mesmo,H.Hopes💙👍🏻👏👏👏
That's a very strange choice. People have different ears. I thought, back then, that the last album was a little weak, compared.
But still, we gathered around a table, beer in our hands and listened to the songs first time, ever.
The discussion that evolved after hearing lasted hours....
No one fills the space that our ears are capable of reserving for music, like Pink Floyd. I was fortunate enough to get to see them in concert in 1973 for the release of their "Dark Side Of the Moon" album. Still, to this day, that was by far and away the best concert that I've ever experienced. That's saying a lot because I've been to probably 20+ concerts, with some awesome bands Playing for us, but Pink Floyd is still number 1!
moi aussi je les est vue en 1974 a paris melde et la sortie de de dark side magique on peut pas oublier le morceau écho avec la fumé sur scène déja du grand spectacle
I’m sitting in NW Alaska 75 miles off grid using Starlink to watch this. I have great speakers that run off the inverter. I love this band.
I wish I had seen a Pink Floyd concert at some point in my life, big miss.
Same!
I went to see Roger Waters recently on the This Is Not a Drill tour and it was absolutely amazing. If you can see either him or David tour (the latter with The Gilmour Project), you won't be disappointed.
That is how I feel about several bands but was truly glad that I saw them twice on this tour
I have spent many nights with friends.. ..dancing around loungeroom holding on to Jim Bean...playing this concert over and over... we knew every word to every song and in harmony.. one friend has sadly passed but we had great times...
God bless you, Janet, for inspiring me! You're living out High Hopes, surrounded by your friends, making beautiful memories! Four of us ladies from work are splitting a hotel room for a wine, and pink floyd slumber party! I can't drink, but I have medical cannabis, which is far superior, and the best complement to this music anyways. Together, I find pain relief. 💗
I was a paramedic then, and never made it. But hats off to all of you who did. They played in the milking shed at Michael Evisis farm, as did T Rex, but before the first Pilton Festival, and later became Glastonbury Festival
I have seen many bands live but Pink Floyd are up there as one of the best. This was my first gig ever, and what a f**kin gig! I feel very privileged to have seen them live.
Pink Floyd are the greatest band ever to walk the planet x
When I first heard Echoes... I thought man, this is something else. Nothing's gonna top this.
Then they did just that, time after time. This is something else. This is the Vivaldi and the Mozart of the 20th century. There's nothing like this , it's a league of its own. A room all to itself of trophies,
memorabilia,
crazy times,
happy times,
lonely times,
fondly held times,
Forever to be remembered times.
Remember this so clearly - I was there at the gig and it was sensational. In-fact was there the first night, the night the seating collapsed and they cancelled the gig. Luckily no-one was injured too badly. They re-scheduled it for 3 days time after and we all went back and had the time of our lives. Those opening chords of shine-on always give me goosebumps.

Pink Floyd had such a unique and otherworldly sound that no other band could compare!! Their entire show was something totally different and so great!!
My childhood best friends mum and dad went to this gig. I was only a child but I knew it was special and rare, only as I've got older do I realise how special this event was for them.
The Great Gig in the Sky is so moving! The 3 singers taking turns with it was great. You don’t just listen to it, you immerse yourself and feel it!🙏
Such a perfectionist. What a show he put together. Genius, love his guitar playing.
Best performance of any band on any planet anywhere in the universe these are the Kings of everything
If I ever get my time machine up and running ... I know where I'm going.
Una verdadera joya de concierto, increíble talento de estos verdaderos maestros del arte musical. Compararlos con lo que se hace hoy en día no tiene sentido, insuperables! Larga vida a Pink Floyd ✌🏼
01:31:33 la ovación a estas tres mujeres increibles ,, que aplauso, tres profesoras de canto y musica tremendas en este show. aplaudirlas de pie realmente
in 100's nay thousands of years, when we are long long gone, there'll be so many millions who will appreciate yet one more classic concert. Oh that we could be there to see their enjoyment, like we do now. Time's arrow sucks.
I will never understand how Mason & Gilmore played so effortlessly & got those sounds. True masters of their craft!
29 years on and I still think this is the best version of The Great Gig in the Sky. Powerful, stirring and every time I’ve heard it since I was a kid, goosebumps each time
This version is good, but I don't think it compares to the show from the Delicate Sound of Thunder video. Rachael Fury, Durga McBroom and Margaret Taylor perform it flawlessly.
Nope, Rachel is much better….
Perhaps the greatest progressive rock concert of our generation
Try David Gilmour live in Pompeii 2017. The harmonies on that are unmatched
@@sherrillcardistry Live at Pompeii was a great concert, except for that. Bryan Chambers, Lucita Jules and Louise Clare Marshall were great for the rest of the show, but this is the worst recording of The Great Gig in the Sky of all films I've seen of it.
Bought the album 14 years ago, listened to it on repeat for 2 months - time went as it has the bad habit of doing; battery died, light went out. Stuck it in the CD player again today.. PHROUUFFWWWRROOUUF.. Best immitation I can do in writing of how fucking brilliant it felt to listen to the whole album again. Have played Pink Floyds' albums many times in those 14 years - the Dark and Wall and Bell especially - and now Pulse again; feel slightly high ang highly rejuvenated.
I love them and have grown up with pink Floyd just amazing and always will be ❤
I saw this concert with 23 others at Foxboro Stadium in '94. There was no better concert than the "Pulse" concert. It is the gold standard of live performances ever, bar none.
Greatest concert ever! Absolutely amazing! 28 years later since first seeing this and I’m still blown away!
One of The Best live concert performorance Ive ever heard...
Fantastic. Watching them play is so much better than just listening. I’m glad the beautiful blond was finally showcased. All the ladies are great singers.
Watched this entire video of the concert last night while tripping on two tabs of lsd , never felt such profound emotion. I will show my kids these gentleman’s music and my grandchildren as well 🤯❤️❤️
I have an old acid rule for scary trips "if all else fails I'll see you on the dark side of the moon" it is fucking impossible to feel bad on psychedelics when that record comes on
that sounds like fun ♥♥♥
I personally think all of their music is based on psycodellics, I cant spell that shit ,what i mean i AM HIGHLIGHTING shrooms AT THE MOMENT, lsd ,
@@alamedajon1453 safe travels my friend
@@tobinmonroe3046 True, but you shit yourself everytime the alram clock goes off at the beginning of Time.
Saw them two nights in a row in Lexington Kentucky in the late 80S. SOOO fucking awesome!! Wish I could go back there now!!! It was the good old days! And yes I was Comfortably Numb both nights!!!
No words to express. Too good
No nonsense notes, i mean just look at the way they arranged all those fantastic music. Bravo👌
Esta obra de arte magnífica te deja sin aliento y permanentemente con piel de gallina. Música que se siente con el corazón, el alma y la vida. Para la eternidad infinita 💯
David Gilmour such an amazing artist/human being so muc talent, such longevity just blows me away. Voice still as clear and pure as ever. ❤❤❤❤
