may alternative materials para sa ibang art materials 😅 . Para sa ibang beginners, find your style muna, kahit simple sketching muna and use cheaper materials. Masasayang kasi yung ibang gamit mo kung nahanap mo na yung art style mo, tapos bili ka pa rin ng bili ng expensive materials na akala mo magagamit mo yun pala mai-stock lang.
For example,
If you're into comic style, mech pencil at mga fine liner (brush tip din) lang kailangan mo. If you're into coloring it, Copic markers are recommended. Pwede rin sharpie, just be sure you're good in blending.
Depende din pala kung anong klaseng comic style. Either marvel-like comic style, or snoopy (medyo cartoony), etc.
Pero ang pinaka importante talaga is find your style first. At ang paghahanap ng art style hindi lang ilang days or ilang week, kakapain mo muna kung saan ka comfortable at kung saan ka satisfied. You need to explore.
Recommend ko sa pencils ay ang brand na Coleen. Its cheaper like 11 pesos per pencil and high quality pa.

Tip, if you want na medyo smooth yung paper na madaling matuyo yung wc, fabriano gamitin nyo. Kung watery kayo mag-wc and gusto nyo ng gradient or something na may blending ng bongga/ gusto nyo ng textured surface , mas maganda yung canson hehe share lang. Yun kasi napansin kong pinagkaiba nilang dalawa.

Medyo late pero para sa mga nagtitipid meron po g canson watercolor paper na 10pcs per pack around 50-60 pesos lang :)

Try nyo din po yung Faber-Castell na graphite pencil and charcoal ... Cheap price lang po for beginners ...the graphite pencils are 18-20 pesos each and the charcoal pencils are 90-95 pesos lang po ...kaso ingat lang po sa pagtatasa sa charcoal pencil na soft madali po kasing maputol

The porpuse kung bakit ko yun binili kase para sa color white and accidentally, nawala yung color white ko. Ano po maisusuggest nyo pong Colored Pencil na White? Yung pigmented tsaka pwede ding pang highlight and blending? Like sa quality ng PRISMACOLOR? Kase di po ako makabibili ng prismacolor white ng single. Dapat talaga naka set. Ano po yung maisusuggest nyo ate?
Na try mo naba yung sakura na highlight pen? Color white lang yun tapos 55 petot lang ata sa pandayan book store or national bookstore..

If your right handed the side of your hand doesn't really going to be dirty like when you smudge it will not print on your hand but if your left handed.. well Left handed problems nalang tulad ko hahahahahah but for me as an artist, Left handee people are more creative because they easily can think by their brains and hands but I salute people that are right handed artists like you po! I'm 12 yrs old, left handed, artist, and I am inspirer by your art works, it's so warm still it brings the vibe that I am looking but I am into mid century feel, vintage, not that dark but warm still. I love your drawings, painting, sketchings and all-!

Meron po akong nabili na Drawing pencil, as in all set na po siya as low as 60 pesos 12 pcs. Hanggang 5b nga lang pero worth it naman.. sa Mr. Diy ko siya nabili😊💖
Kung masyadong mahal yung 48 na faber castell, pwede na yung 24 and kung di mo gusto yung vellum board, marami pang ibang type ng paper na makapal ( 90 gsm na paper is okay kung hindi naman water color yung gagawin. ) meron sa nb 17 pesos per 10 sheets. And kung wala ka talagang pambili ng mga pencils, pwede na yung mongol pencil. Mas maganda kung yung 1,2 and 3 gagamitin para iba iba den ng darkness. Hope this helps ahahahahah

Ate Genelyn this was the first video that I watched 3 years ago so I've been a fan since then. Napanood ko to noong nasa Manila kami kasi plano ko bumili art mats noon, taga probinsya po kasi ako noon wala pang kasing national bookstore dito noon pero may pandayan na ngayon. Di ko alam anong bibilhin ko noon kaya nag search ako dito sa youtube ito yung first video na nagpop kaya sinave ko noon sa dati kong cp naka subscribe nako noon. Alam mo ate nakatulog ito sa akin, I'm so grateful na nahanap ko ito noon, matagal na po akong fan mo 😊. I was 12 back then now I'm 15 and I will still support you🤗.

TBH i brought staedler pencils from
B-4B-5B-7B binigay ko ang 8B for my bf and some of my pencils are Mitsubishi/uni Brand which is hb,2b,3b and faber castell na gold faber F, 3H,4H,6B so Iba iba pencils ko and now huminto na ako sa Traditional and lumipat sa Digital yep mahal talaga artmats ng traditional keysa Digital ✌️ hehe skl

I recommend the Golden for oil pastels, mas cheaper siya sa Pentel ginagamit ko siya hanggang ngayon. :D

Para sa Oil Pastel, mas maganda po yung Golden Oil Pastel, mas pigmented po tsaka maganda po yung blending ng colors ♡♡♡
Sa mga absolute beginner watercolor artists, if you want cheap (AS IN CHEAP), try the Simbalion Watercolor cake. For 200 pesos meron ka nang 36 colors (Shopee). Useful siya sa mga hindi pa marunong magblend since may 36 available colors sa isang palette. Yun nga lang medyo chalky siya and opaque kaya halos transparent ang colors when layered. Pero okay naman kung hindi ka masyadong into wet painting. :) I used Canson watercolor papers or velum boards na mataas ang gsm for canvas.
For pencils naman, I suggest Coleen brand. Mura siya and maganda ang quality.
you are absolutely right, yung sa pencils, Staedtler for me is the best. Mejo pricey na sya nowadays, i got a couple from National Bookstore just last Sunday, P36 per pencil.
