In bank , funds flow is prepared to see changes in long term funds ,where in changes in LT sources and LT liabilities to arrive at LT surplus or deficit and likewise changes in short term sources and ST Liabilities to arrive at surplus or deficit.If long term surplus is available it is good sign that LT funds are used to fund ST deficit ,but vice versa is diversion of funds ,which is drain on profitability and mismanagement

The opening and closing balance of general reserves are Rs 10,000 and Rs 9,000, respectively. It is stated in addition information that a loss of Rs 1000 has been written off in general reserves. In such a case, decline in reserve and loss on investment will be adjusted in P&L account.
