Wow, I can't believe the devs actually updated the game based on a mod reviving it from the dead. That is truly outstanding. Great work!!!
I dont think a mod has ever TRULY supplanted a games development like Invictus has. Thank you to all the modders and Invictus Development team for all that they have done and I look forward to another 1000 hours in a "dead" game.
HPM for vicky 2, its almost unplayable without HPM, HFM, GFM or other derivatives. Most PDM¹ based mods also regularly get HPM ports because it has just basically become the vanilla version.

At first, when I saw how suddenly popular Imperator became out of nowhere, I assumed that it was just subtly being shilled by Paradox, but now I realise that it's genuinely a good game with a lot of potential.
(I've also been watching your tutorials for the game).
Imperator is my favorite paradox game mechanically. Mixing pops with ck3 style mechanics was genius

Great work. Imperator is such a gem now because of this hard work. I love the pop system and military system, hopefully something similar is brought to EU5.
I think we will all be pleasantly surprised when EU5 is released and plays how we imagine Imperator 3.0 might have.

I was so excited for Imperator Rome, maybe more than any other recent paradox title and was so disappointed. But playing Invictus now feels like the game I was hoping for

I never played Imperator Rome, and i guess its time i do, this mod included. Same as stellaris. i never played vanilla, it was Warhammer 40k mods day 1

moders always brign the passion money can not.. from skyrim to imperator. Modders and players, dont ever let those mf monetize this. This shows that true passion and community can bring as much greatness as money hungry mf. dont let them win, it is bigger than all of us.

Truly incredible - modders have more of a vision, creative approach, and work ethic than a major corporation. More and more I am depressed by how little Paradox actually does to flesh out their games - I have been burned too many times
It' speaks to the strenght of the I:R modders that they have kept this game alive for years before it got more publicity the last few months.
We, as a community, are greatly thankful to the modders of Invictus, you kept the dream alive, you made that dream great and we will forever be in your debt for your amazing work on this game.

Most complaints we got was that tribes are too weak and don't blob enough funnily enough.
@@snowlet739 That makes no sense from a historical perspective. Tribes were decentralised, tiny territories that would form coalitions, but not merge.
I wish there was a small part for Terra indomita as well. That's the main mod I play.

Paradox gets a lot of crap because of their business model, but they tend to make great games and have pretty strong community ties. If only they would make an 'Inner Sphere at War' grand strategy game in the Battletech universe...

Honestly I feel like all I’d want from Invictus is the new missions, I’d rather keep everything else the same. Is there a mod that just adds the missions without everything else that comes with Invictus?
What don't you like about the other features? They're all designed to enhance the vanilla game and we take great care to remain within what vanilla would be like if PDX developed further. So i'm curious, what turnoffs does Invictus have for you?
As for just missions, doesn't exist. A lot of missions also rely on rebalances and stuff we have done in Invictus like the map expansions.
@@snowlet739 a lot of different reasons, but ultimately it just comes down to me being used to vanilla. With Invictus it feels too much like “all or nothing”, aka you either get all these super dramatic changes packaged together and have to get used to it all at once, or you don’t get to play it. I’m used to how buildings, units, etc work in base vanilla, and having to completely rewire my brain on how the entire game works because “it’s better now” just doesn’t sit right with me.
Also honestly I’m used to “total overhaul” mods in strategy games directly equating to “realism at the expense of fun”. Nine times out of ten in my experience these mods that claim to enhance the game are really just pouring realism down your throat and claiming that it makes the game better, when in reality it just makes the experience less fun for somewhat more casual players like me. Not that that’s what Invictus is doing, mind you, I’m sure that it actually takes a lotta fun stuff into effect. It’s just that my brain is sorta hard-wired into thinking these sorta mods would rather strategy games be realistic rather than fun. I blame the tism.
I apologize btw if this seemed overly ranty. I want to specify that I do genuinely want to try Invictus and see if it truly makes the game better, because Imperator is an amazing game. But my brain looks at all the “all or nothing” changes and just gets turned off to it all.
@@snowlet739I think the main turnoff for me is the sheer scale of all the changes. A rebalance of ALL of the units. A rebalance of buildings. 150+ new deities. 60+ new inventions. 100+ new heritages. Even if all the changes are relatively simple, my brain sees the metric crap ton of changes and gets scares
@@craftsmenMC They were all done to be more balanced than vanilla, and completely in the style of vanilla. I've always tried to ensure that everything in the mod feels like it could be vanilla content. There shouldn't be anything for you to worry about, and arguably Invictus simply acts as the new basegame.

Wonderful, but it seems all winning means conquering the most. What about a small tribe retains it culture while empires march across its lands? What about small conquered nations resistance against empires, not become one, just to liberate themselves?
