I can’t believe people really thought they’d end up together. I understand how people would think they were cute I guess. They’re great friends, and have good chemistry as friends. Even before they kissed, the way Syd talked about her best friend was far from straight. I headcannoned her as gay, and though Stanley was a funny awkward character (I love those characters) I was exited when She kissed her bsf. It was so one sided. When he asked her out to the dance or whatever she thought “just gotta be strong and tell him I don’t like him that way.” Only agreeing because she didn’t wanna let him down.
I'm in love with the way that he loves her in every moment, how he stay by her side, and all his cuteness. I hope that he find who he loves he back how he deserves

but Uhh in my opinion it makes more sense with Stanley bc for one he got more hurt, also, Dina is a girl, so Heather would match her. Brad is a boy (obv) so Heather would less match him, and Conan fits Stanley, because same reason, they’re the same gender. Conan doesnt fit syd as much since she’s a girl.
Also at the end Dina said “about the kiss, I didn’t not like it” meaning that she probably liked Sydney, and Stan I remember was just sitting on the bench alone at homecoming until Sydney came to sit with him. but, she still ended up dancing with dina
