I would guess 69 or 70 actually. Very cool. My mom loved these. The Rhoda scarf. Mary Tyler Moore show for any youngins.
My thoughts too. Also the model's hair reminded me of the Farrah Fawcett hairdo.
Right there with you, 70s sister.
I remember having one of these back in about 1970-72. Plus the model looks like she has the Farrah Faucet hair style. And I agree, we need to bring these patterns back and I'm definitely going to do this one
Even if I don’t plan to make any of your vintage patterns, I’ve still learned quite a few little tips and tricks from these videos and inspiration for my own work. (Also I love watching them!)
It’s especially helpful when you think out loud about the changes you make to the pattern and why. 😊
Thank yo so much!! :)
Harvest gold with avocado green was THE color combo of the 1970’s. Almost exactly the colors you have there. 😄 So nostalgic.
Plus brown and I hated those colors back then and still do!
Not just for clothes either. My house had gold kitchen appliances and my friend's had avocado green😅
Don't forget burnt orange! 😊
Had an avocado bathroom once. At least it wasn’t brown 😅
I’ve been searching for this! I have it pinned all over Pinterest with no instructions. Thank you 💜
This reminds me of the 70's.
Super cute, super easy and this is a definate make for sure when my hair looks like crap. Cotton a definite for this Arizona climate. Love 💘 the name for your mannequin.
I saw this type of scarf in a fashion magazine from 1966.
I'm am in love with this hat. Thank you for taking the time to crochet it.
Love it! I graduated high school in '65, but don't remember this at all. I probably grew up in a place that wasn't cool at all. Lol. I do love it though! Thanks for reviving these things. Remember, what goes around, comes around. I've seen some bell bottoms jeans lately! Look out! Here we go again! 💕💕💕
Groovy pattern--very Janis Joplin! I'd say early 1970s for this one. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a seventies girl and I love it too. It's a timeless style 🦋
this is beautiful. I agree with you, we need to bring some of these designs back in fashion. 😊
I’d say this style of headwear is from the early 1970’s. If you search for head scarf 1970’s you’ll see results where the model is wearing a scarf styled like this. Think Twiggy 1974 Oscars. Love the trip down memory lane, awesome project. You are very skilled at this, I’m in awe! Thank you.
Thanks for the info! and thank you :)
I really like the way this turned out. I hope you do wear it. I hope everyone makes it and wears it. Thank you for making this tutorial. While using the large hook, it is more solid than I thought it would run out.
Thank you so much!
That's beautiful. And it looks much like a so called Du-rag or a Chemo scarf.
I like headwear and headbands. But most are only boring. This isn't.
Thank you for sharing.
Oh indeed , and Thank you! :)
Oh, this brings back memories of my mother's endless crocheted hats for her three teenage girls! All in the current bright colors.
It’s really cute on you. I’m a 70s child so I might have or make this. ❤
Not sure of the date on this pattern, but I made this when my mom was undergoing chemo for cancer. It kept her head so warm
Love these vintage crochet projects videos.
Your videos make me think i could learn to crochet from you
I'm loving your vintage pattern videos! I've seen 3 now I think. Am working on the snood currently...I like this one too and may attempt it, maybe tweak it just a bit, but I remember those even in the 70s, I'm 65 and liked the "groovy" fashions. I rem her amber the olive green and gold, the orange, yellow, those were all popular colors during that era. Thanks for bringin' em' back! 😊 blessings! ❤
I think 1969-70. Maybe even early 70s. The Romany look was really big at this time from head to toe! Very boho!
I love this! I remember these headscarf’s. I’m 64 so in ‘69 I was 11. I do think these were started in ‘69.
Anyway- you’re a crochet genius as I’ve said before. Thank you so much for these wonderful vintage tutorials. Xxoo
Thank you so much! 🤗
I'm 72 I remember my grandma crocheting my best friend and I each one, that would have been in the early 60's
@@pamelasmith9802 what a great memory. 😊
I ❤ it! I wear headscarf’s all the time! This is perfect for winter time. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome!! :)
That would look cute with the ‘60’s crocheted dress you made.
Totally agree! :)
That's about the grooviest thing I've seen in a long time!
:)
I was really little in the 60s, so I don't remember this specific style but I DO remember hats like this one in the late 60s, early 70s. When my hands are better, I'd like to make the hat & scarf separately for my soon-to-be 14 year old granddaughter: I don't think she'd care for them sewn together but I think she'd love them separately. I've gotta tell you, I get so excited when I see you've posted another video! I just love your channel! 🧶❤️ Can't wait for the next one! xx
Oh, indeed, I thinbk that's a great idea :)
Groovy Baby! love this on you. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Thank you :)
Fantastic!! Wow, does that bring back memories 💕 💐🍄
Thank you for your videos. I’m learning so much.
Wonderful! 🤗
I love that! Turned out better than the picture! ❤
Chick…..that was sassy ‼️. Loved it ‼️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
The pattern was more post Woodstock era probably '69 to '72. I achieved my hair in that style by dampening it down and rolling it in rags to sleep on it. We would buy a yard of very thin, silk like fabric then rip it the long way to wear as a headband. This pattern may have came from a weekly craft magazine called "Golden Hands."
Prior to 1969 girls wore more of a "bubble" or a "flip" hairstyle, more conservative.
Ohh, very helpful! Thank you :)
Once again you gave us a unique pattern , and you look lovely with it on ! I would have made double braids for the rim . Nice !
Thank you !! :)
Had to pop back to say another thank you for all the additional tips you share that make the patterns work out even better than written.
Thank you ! :)
I love your channel! I wore a scarf like that NONcrochet in 1974
Groovy girl ✌🏽🫶🏽😎
This is a beautiful funky pattern.
I'm wondering if this is from the early 70s. It's has a Mary Tyler Moore vibe. Very cute!
Omg I love this!😍Looks awesome on you too💜✌️Just going to make the scarf but of course much longer and without the braid.
The hairstyle would tell me mid-70’s early at best.
thank you for sharing god bless you
Thank you, God bless you too :)
You did a great job and so quickly! This is a very BOHO hat and scarf. It was very fashionable in this time period to have the braids left long. Beautiful project! ❤❤❤
I love this vintage pattern, will make it soon! ❤️
Oh, this is so fun! Thank you for sharing your process!
Thank you! :)
It really suits you. Good job. May just make the scarf portion, as I'm partial to shells.
This was the fashion worn at the time of the Mary Tyler Moore show, if you want to look up pictures. The show was on from early to late 1970's.
When I first came across I thought ' Rhoda" , and I had to make it lol, but the source where I found is just said " from the late 60s" , I thought it looked early 70s too but I was just not sure :)
Yes! Bring this cool stuff back! You rock it, girl! 😊❤ Very cool pattern - thank you for sharing it! Love your tutorials! ❤
Heck yes! we are gonna do it one pattern at a time :) and thank you
@@justvintagecrochet ❤❤❤
I've enjoyed watching this. Pretty stitch work too.
Thank you 🤗
Awesome it looks great on you
Thank you :)
Well done. I love how it came out. It would've been nice to see how the "scarf" was attached to the hat.
I started by first sewing the center of the scarf closed to keep it's shape in the center, then I placed it on the side of the hat and just started sewing it on , in no specific way, just anchoring it to the side of the hat :)
Oh yeah this looks like my kind of fashion!
Awesome :)
Groovy!
The pic looks like a hairstyle from '70s, from the actress Farrah Fawcett hairstyle.
I sorta thought that too
Love your channel!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I absolutely love this hat. Definitely gonna be grabbing the pattern. You are 100% correct! We need to resurrect these styles. If they can bring back the mullet, we can bring back the crochet headscarves. 🤣 The color combo is amazing as well.
hahaha, yes ma'am! ( haha mullet )
❤ I am making this groovy
