    I loved hearing from the two female volunteers. I am in the application process right now and I have been wondering how I might be treated differently from male volunteers. Thank you for sharing this!

      @your mom hey dude, number one is I’ve actually lost 80lbs since that photo was taken, but thanks for your input I guess LOL and second, acknowledging that the experiences of male and female volunteers may be different is in no way me trying to change a country’s culture. Have a good day :)

    thank you for this, and especially for taking the time to talk about sexism with the two female volunteers! Really interesting to see where you all are at now as a future PCV.

      I'm glad it was interesting! Incredibly important to talk about topics like that, I'm glad they were both willing to share

    Hi Colt, your videos are terrific! I was a PCV in Senegal and I remember cooking with the same ingredients from the local “boutique”. Among volunteers we had a competition to figure out who could make the best dinner for 4 with 1000 cfa using only those ingredients...Alfredo sauce is a genius idea! (Btw I am Valentine’s mom!)

      Thank you! Also, what a great idea. We'll have to try something like that here!

    Colt, thanks for the video! I am interviewing for the Agroforestry volunteer position in Guinea in TWO DAYS! I'm watching your videos for spurts of encouragement as an attempt to educate myself beforehand.

    I enjoyed their take on things and especially the two female volunteers. Also the two female volunteers were great but the only thing I STRONGLY disagree on is how they said there weren't very many female "role models" because a lot of the women don't have an education. A good role model has morals. and doesn't always come with a polished education. Sometimes a good role model wants a better life for their child or the villages children.

    Thanks for sharing!! Do you think it's possible to be vegan while serving in the Peace Corps?

    • @ColtBradley
      @ColtBradley Před 3 lety

      It would be really hard...I'm vegan now and there's no way that I could have while serving. It depends on your country, though

      I use Premier Pro which is awesome but expensive. Davinci Resolve is free and really good but difficult to learn. There are many others too but I haven't tried most of them.
