We have to get something very clear here. A lot of people that migrated to the UK from Nigeria did so grudgingly. As a matter of fact they leave to escape poverty, security challenges etc. They want to have financial stability.
After saving up enough and have multiple sustainable sources of income and to cap it up have British Passports or ILR that gives them unhindered access to and fro UK, they can comfortably return to Nigeria and won't feel the impact of Nigerian economic situation.
To me they have gotten what they needed in life that is why they relocate back to Nigeria because if they have not gotten it they will still be in the UK. Secondly if they want to go to back UK anytime they will without applying for a visa
Nne you took a bold step, abroad isn't better than Nigeria just that our senseless leaders don't appreciate God's gift, Nigeria. Nigeria remains the best country in the world if harnessed very well.
Remember that spirits will not make Nigeria our dream country, it is still us that will make the country better. Running away from Nigeria isn't the solution. Welcome back dear, I will soon join you back home.
Welldone Ada👊🏾 just like you I WILL WORK HARD and give my children the gift of another passport then go back to my country
Exactly Nigeria is a mess
I was in Nigeria for 2 weeks last month and God, I loved every moment of it and I which I have the resources to move back.
I don’t blame this woman na torch I blame, if anything happens in Nigeria now she can fly back to uk with family
Exactly 😊
You're right , she go run o
Yes, thank you very much. When we have also spent years in the UK and possibly achieved the UK status, we will also give it a thought to go back to visit and check our chances there.
Ada you are blessed. You have seen the light. Its a very very wise move. You wi quickly left the rat race 🏁 and refused the let the system here swallow you. You are a very wise woman. Unfortunately most people will never understand until its too late 😮 they are slaving here in
UK until they get to 70yrs and realise they have wasted their lives. Stress levels here is too much here. Most people dont understand until its too late in their lives. On balance you are better off in Nigeria in your situation. Costs of living is tough and crazy in the UK and anywhere...
I say again you are better off in Nigeria. Im planning my move in 2 years. I am just putting things in place so i have foreign currency coming.
God Bless you sister Ada🙏.
Dual citizenship?
Hmm, patriotism indeed 😂
Thanks very much, my sister, you have spoken my mind ... have stayed here for over 19 yrs, i am going back soon by his grace. Who wants to stay can but for me home is home
TOCHI she already has options. British citizen. Her children has choice. Easy to say she's bored.
Well-done Tochi nwanyi oma.
Madam Ada is spot on. Her comments are balanced. I like her choice of words to expresss herself so we all can understand. Thanks Ada.
Madam, you did the right thing, ma.
Most Nigerians who travelled abroad don't have plans to return back home, well we understand it is because of the situation back home. But the truth remains that you are a foreigner in the country you reside at that time. It doesn't matter how long you run away from your country. Relocating back home to enjoy the rest of your lives. Old age, especially with cold, is real....
People should be planning on going back home.
Am making preparation. Home is best.
I love your move Madam Ada. Home sweet home. One cannot stay in a strange land forever
She already secured indefinite leave to enter or even uk passport for herself and her family... If anything happens, she only needs a ticket.
Even right now, her company is working with employees in Uk.
Am happy for her, and may God bless her.
Yes shes looking better than when she left honestly. Glowing honestly look younger as well
I will come back to watch...i am interesting in tips to setup business.
Na after una don spend years, make money, establish business, get get ur citizenship and ur Children own too, una go come online dey tell us story. This family that can go back to Uk or any European country if they want to na you say make I dey listen to. Abeg rest.
No one is asking you to go back home ..you can stay in Uk for the rest of your life no one cares …she has made her decision so respect it and keep quiet…
@@shelaberry6645 be calming down. It just a comment. He is free to state his opinion as you are. State your opinion if you have any contrary notion rather than opposing.
@@shelaberry6645Buy why didn't relocate 10 years ago? She don make money
I am feeling you girl I mixed Nigeria
I left 40years ago
I missed Nigeria every day now
I am over 60 now
I think she has to emphasise her background cos we all know where we are coming from.
Based on my background, I can only be grateful for the opportunity I got to pursue my master's at the University of Reading.
My family would never want me to return based on my realities
@@Chuwalker Thank you, bro. Abroad is never our home but I don't want to go on and talk about how hopeless I was back in Nigeria. After my father passed away in 2013 and managed to graduate with a First Class from Unilag as an Estate Surveyor in 2021, the best I could get was a job as a valuer and was only earning 60,000.
This couldn't meet the needs of my sick mother, our feeding, transportation and likes. Life was becoming hopeless until I found this opportunity.
Brother, even my mother has told me to try all I can to do well and remain here, because THE DIFFERENCE IS CLEAR.
So, as you have rightly alluded, it is all based on individual backgrounds and our realities back home. Otherwise, home becomes a future plan, after we must have gotten a better life for ourselves, given our kids better leverage, and made good connections here.
@@Chuwalker Cap. People can have a home anywhere they feel they're comfortable. That's her choice to make. If not for her financial resources and stability, she won't even think of going back with family. Nigeria a country that cannot provide anything for its citizens is what you call a home? You do everything yourself. You provide everything yourself. You have no idea how much spend in taking care of her family in Nigeria.
@@Chuwalker Yes, many people are doing fine in Nigeria but how many percent of these people made their money legitimately? The ones that made their money through illegal means are more in numbers. We're talking about a country that praise and award criminality.
There are bright minds in Nigeria but it pains me that they're not recognized and their talent are not put into use. It's why you see young doctors, engineers and nurses leaving the country because they can't go illegal.
Once one has the indefinite leave and British Passport then resourses, I think its good for them...
I love the decision they took by going back to their country. They have made money enough to establish themselves what else ? Well done Ada. Struggling is everywhere. We continue to push and pray.
I’m not scared going back home.
Easy 2move with the Britico passport na😂
Yes you’re right and I think that should be the goal for most people. Get your passport, stack up cash and bounce.
She has make her grand there already
I understand it's okay, you are right, in other words retirement.
You don't want to live and die in UK.
Most people will have problem with Ada because they see UK and other western world as heaven.
She and her family had live in UK for over 2 decades, the children are British citizens and I believe that they have business they established in Nigeria, I believe they have 2nd passports and their children can have another better life. So what is wrong with her relocating back to her country. Do u think that its everybody that want to spend their old days in western world. The step they took is to enjoy their old age.
There's no place like home 👍 ❤
Uk does favour businesses than employee's indeed I experienced this whilst in business. After 15yrs and 20+ yrs and to make sure the children dont forget their naija side Its a good move plus it seems she is earning pounds whilst home so well done to her she as beat the western as matrix as we know it
I love that
You are right
Well, I like her points of analysis both the work life balance in the UK. Its a pity her business in the UK isnt that flourishing as she expected. Nice tips on how to setup a business in the UK.
I understand you very well there is no place like home
Cost of living in Nigeria is more expensive.
Someone that is not saying the truth. I just sorry for those that will listen to her and rush back home. She doesn't even sound like someone from a poor home before she left for UK. Nigeria where every seller get their own price, price of food items increase anyhow, no control, nothing.
You are on point.
Please guys, do not bench mark your decisions based on what this woman is saying. On the surface, things are not the way it seems, she may not be saying the whole truth in the streets of social media. Be wise with the decisions you make. Don't decide on other people's opinion.
That is my plan saving to move back after 15 years
Was it the same lady that you brought when she was leaving.
What’s about means of lively hood?
How much were you prepared for securing jobs or business?
How easy have you find opportunities
God bless her, a lots of people would prefer to die there...hmnnn
It would be interesting to know if she became a British citizen during her time in the UK.
After 5yrs in the Uk you can apply for leave to remain in the Uk
You have done well madam
I paid £ 1.00 for a single plantain this morning.
When you marry a wife, make sure she wants what you want.
It's well
