- We had a lot of fun filming this episode and I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride as we explore the Mid-West coastline in search of fish from the surf. In this video we try to show some of the fishing possibilities that surf fishing can offer along with some Information on techniques that will help you with catch more fish from shore.

Hi ,11,46kg . Great fishing, dingle dangle is the best for surf fishing always used it is South Africa. Assassin fishing rods are some of the best rock and surf rods in the world build in South Africa. The tailor fishing were very good, we call tailor shad here. The bue fish is a very good tailor and scratching rod. Keep up the excellent work. 👌👍🇿🇦
Assassin rods are no longer built in South Africa. Their older rods like the Assassin Blade etc, blanks where manufactured in East London by Blue Marlin Rods. Even they no longer manufacture rod blanks anymore. We had only 2 rod blank manufacturers in South Africa Blue Marlin and Purglas in Durban. Purglas should also a long time ago make rods for The Kingfisher. They both have closed down to not being able to compete with the imported rods from China by local South African and leading International tackle brands. Blue Marlin makes their own grinder version rods and would not be surprised like Assassin their rod blanks are now made in China.
