  • Our (S) Sand Buff color matches most pooldecks, however, all Stegmeier Frontier Desert Deck® and Mortex Kool Deck® colors are available.

Great video. Mine came out great. It’s amazing how easy it was. It’s been done now for a couple of hours. It looks and feels dry, but nowhere in the video or container doesn’t if give you the recommended drying time. I live in Florida, it’s 88 degrees and 77% humidity. Thanks for your help.

First, surprised at no comments... This guy/guys are expert artists. Wish they were in Citrus County Florida.

+Nicholas Vadasz I know right. I also live in circus county, and can find no products to buy here. Have to order online or drive 40 miles away.

Why do you let the cool deck patching material just spill into the pool water? It seems like you could prevent some of that. Is it harmless to the water chemistry or pool equipment?

I got a question, when u used the wetter of the two mixtures u used a broom to place onto kool deck. But u also got a lot into the pool water. How do u get the deck repair stuff out of your pool and bottom of the pool? If u vacuum won't it get in all your pipping and pump?
    Thanks

It just dissipates into sand. Completely harmless in your pool.

Now the neighbor has asked me to do this on hers. However, should I pressure wash the whole thing first? Because there are several bigger places where it is flaking up and it is very loose all around for quite a big area, if I pressure wash it, I am afraid all of it will loosen up? Should I use a bonding agent first?

Two years later and no answers to your question 🙄

You likely got your answer by now, considering the amount of time that's passed since it was asked, but I had the same issue and went ahead and pressure washed it. I got the best results by making sure anything that was loose, or in danger of becoming loose, was removed first, then I scrubbed the "wounds" out with Acid Magic (a muriatic acid alternative) and a brush, and rinsed it before applying EZ Patch.
