    The biggest thing I wish you guys would do is wear Walkers Electronic ear protection during TTR. Maybe not for drill shootouts, but multitools, circ saws, and recip saws are loud.
    It blocks out high decibel noise, but it still allows you to talk like normal.

    The middle strap comes off the light,so it's not going up over the middle with less tension. I bought the Milwaukee hard hat lamp kit. Comes with another clip mount that works with the bolt attachment. And any ear muff,face shield will work all at once. That's why there are 6 clip points on the side.

    Vince, I'd like to add that at "some" Mayer locations, if you purchase a headlamp, you get a FREE hard hat. I recently had to pick up a new light, as mine grew legs, and decided to flip through the Milwaukee catalog on the shelf and saw the deal. I went with the full brim. It feels all-day comfortable and the headlamp attaches easily with the strap. As a side note, I also needed another SDS hammer drill and they had a deal that if you buy the drill (tool only) you got a free 6.0 battery ($150 value). It was $40 cheaper than Depots and got the free battery.

  • @TexMexJoe
    @TexMexJoe Před 4 lety +2

    I just bought one of those hard hats. So far I like it. If you have some Milwaukee safety glasses with the flexible ends you can fit them in with the sharpie nicely. Also I believe for your setup. If you were serious in using that headlamp. You might want to get another bolt attachment. I just realized that in the back there's velcro and you can remove the headbands and use the strap to secure it. I think in 9:48 you pointed to it. Hope that helps

    • @TexMexJoe
      @TexMexJoe Před 4 lety +1

      I'm not using one of their headlamps too. I just have a cheap one laying around I decided to try and fit in and worked nicely. I'm sure you can also figure out how to secure it with the velcro strap

      @@TexMexJoe That’s what I did. I added a Wolfjaw brand light that has the red light function and it fit right in the clip. I noticed that the hat itself has a little shake to it even while ratcheted down to the head. Does your make a noise and shake when shaking head aggressively? Or is it thought?

    Great video and i loved the vest seems like they thought of everything, I bought my Kline Hard had before Milwaukee's came out. Are you going to make a Kline hard hat and headlamp video. I was already in the market to buy a rechargeable headlamp and priced both milwaukee and kline. I decided to buy kline because of two reasons price and hard hat rubber band the kline came with. for $80 bucks i could buy two headlamps. and just plug one of them in my work van via Usb when not in use, now i have two head lamps that are easy to swap and they just clip on to Kline hard hat which is one of the most comfortable hard hats i have ever worn. The head band is also machine washable and they sell replacement headbands. I love milwaukee power tools and use them every day at work, but from a cost standpoint it seems kline headlamps are a better buy.

    I’ve been looking for an hour now for earmuffs that would clip on the hard hat. I’m guessing any ear muffs would work, but with all these companies naming systems or accessories for their tools, I’m afraid it’s some sort of proprietary clip that will fit better than the standard clip on ear muffs like the 3m’s. I’m not seeing anything on their website either so either they haven’t made ear muffs or for some reason they don’t have it on their site… which would be odd.
    Do any of you have this hard hat with clip on ear muffs? If so will it accept any clip on ear muffs?

    You did something a little wrong when you do hard hats you remove the top strap so that you only have a band going around the lower portion. and the second thing is with the Milwaukee system you use two bolts hard hat mounts one holds the headlamp the other holds the battery pack without any of the strapping so that you just have the power cord running from one side of the hard hat to the other. This is how I have mine configured.

      VCG Construction 10.18.5 Equipment Rooms.
      10.18.5.1 Combustible material shall not be stored in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, or electrical equipment rooms.
      10.18.5.2 Materials and supplies for the operation and maintenance of the equipment in the room shall be permitted.
      The use of equipment rooms to store items, such as those needed for the equipment in the room, is normal. The storage of materials and supplies related to the operation of the equipment is permitted in accordance with 10.18.5.2. Equipment should be stored in cabinets or other protected areas to limit the hazard. Spaces such as boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, or electrical rooms are designed for a particular purpose and should not be seen as an opportunity for free storage within a building. Storing combustible materials within one of those spaces increases the risk and also the fuel load within the space should a fire occur. Controlling the combustible storage in these spaces can help to lessen the risk of a fire developing and/or interfering with the boiler equipment, mechanical equipment or electrical equipment. Materials that are not associated with the equipment are not permitted to be stored within equipment rooms.
      Section 10.18 also addresses other generic storage conditions. Storage of combustible materials, regardless of location, must be orderly and it cannot interfere with the location of sprinklers. Storage is also not permitted in exits. Attic, under-floor, and concealed spaces used for storage of combustible materials must comply with the protection from hazards requirement for storage rooms in NFPA 101. Finally, any fueled equipment, including items like motorcycles, lawn care-equipment or portable cooking equipment cannot be stored, operated or repaired within a building unless the building has been constructed for that purpose using the building code or is allowed by another provision of NFPA 1.
