you know I don't think about TDS's grind too much since I've had every tower for years now but then occasionally I hear a sentence like "62.5 hours for all the golden skins" and I just make this face

Just a tip for new players:
Do not prioritize any level towers past turret (lvl 50), as they are almost never used in any main grinding/winning strategies. Instead, focus on the mid game coin towers and the late game hardcore towers. Trust me, mercenary base is nice to have, but not anywhere near worth the grind compared to hardcore towers.
Also you will get mortar when grinding for hc tower anyway, because hc give you tons of exp
You don't need a strat when being lv 150
Good strat
for new players:
you should definitely prioritise getting all of the hardcore towers first before the golden towers. Most hardcore strategies don't necessarily need golden towers anyways and having Hardcore towers will make farming coins and exp much easier and quicker. Technically speaking, it's quicker to get all of the hardcore towers then to get one golden crate.
Grind golden for xp to lvl 50 then grind gems

It's 2:45 am, what a perfect time to watch a new corso video
i want to point out some stuff:
- Warden currently has 2 devastating bugs, which make it a lot weaker, by that I mean A LOT. It's one of the worst towers right now, not being able to defend early game in MOLTEN, and can't even kill Molten Boss anymore.
- Crook Boss is unlocked at level 30, not 35
- You shouldn't really focus on grinding exp, there are still golden towers to get, which takes a lot longer than reaching level 150.
Ikr also by the time you get the brawler and accel you should prob be level 80+ since hardcore gives a TON of xp
Man this is soo amazing when one expert at the game, tries to teach beginners how to get their favourite towers! This is very helpful, even for me, and many other noobs!

I'd recomend to teach them other stuff needed in your next video, like teaching them placements, how to use towers that give support (ranger, merc, exedra), how to use abilities well and the best way to get crates and such.

Now, lets talk about placement, as it is a HUGE issue on early levels throought the game.
At any point you do not want to place towers with gaps in between them
Place farms away from the path and outside of the main placement, so they do not obstruct any other tower placement. Same goes for the military base, it shouldn't be in the midde oif the map in any case, however you DO want to place it in the range of a DJ.
Now, for the main DPS towers placement, regardless if they are cliff or ground.
There are 2 main placement patterns popular in the game: Square placement and Hexagonal placement (also known as trianlge).
Both of them are self explanatory, you place towers as close to each other, however it should be noted that square placement is more popular on the maps with big rectangular places on the side of the road, like U turn, Pizza party and Badlands.
Hexagonal is used on irrational maps where it is best to fit as much towers as possible, since it consumes less space in general. Maps for the hexagonal pattern are PW2, Grass isle, Space city and Infernal abyss.
Good advice for preplanning your placement is to put towers in one corner of the road and growing the placement from it.
Do not worry about hanging towers from ledges, no matter cliff or ground, towers do not fall.
Also it should be noted that towers with bigger placement footprint should be placed outside of the main placement to not break the cluster. These towers are Farm, Military base, Merc base and Turret.
Fun fact: ALL towers with rectangular base still have a circular placement footprint, examples being Ace pilot, Pursuit, Farm and Military base.

Thank you for the video! This has confirmed my thoughts on the optimal path for being better in the game.
One thing: Crook Boss is gotten at lvl 30, not 35. I am currently lvl 32 and have the crook boss (no robux, sadge). My buddy also said it was lvl 35, but this seems to be the old level requirement.

I recommend using the violet souls strategy instead of the violet party strategy because, for p4, you get the cheapest loadout, but you do have to do some chaining. I recommend going for p1 though, cause other than p4, it is the cheapest. It is also much cheaper than being p4 in Violet Party.

3. Pyro
2. Mini
1. Scout
Mainly because scout gets buffed drastically and is amazing for early defense, cowboy really just gets a bit more money, pyro is good on its own along with mini so they can go hand and hand depending on the situation, crook boss is just lacklust compared to 1 2 and 3 and soldier is meh it can go hand and hand with cowboy tbh.

BTW, easy mode is good solo grinding method for begginers (since you mostly get paired up with people around your level)

Any golden tower is extremely overpriced, but there is two you'll need, and need a lot.
Golden Scout have loads of value, place 3 of them, base level 0, it lasts quite a while on itself. This is gonna help you with coin grinds a lot more, especially if you want another golden tower, to flex or not to flex..
Though I can't say the same for golden pyro. He is extremely helpful, especially in hardcore. The decreased price means you can place him down one wave earlier than the regular version, which might not be much but it sure is helpful. Another thing is you won't need to max him out according to the strat, and that saves A LOT more money for you to spend on, because after that step you'll need to place rangers, and needless to say he's one hell of a money sucker.
But well you won't need to grind that much anyways, just have fun with the game and enjoy where you are.
Instead of playing badlands 2 to get xp u can spam hardcore at weekend it gives tones of xp and gems
for coins and xp i only did event i was loosing so many games and winning and repeating that when the update ended i was pretty high level with 1 g crate . grinding event dosent get boring and is very good i think but you should be at time of event there is no event currently

As a level 80, this is kinda useful.
the longest part is not the actual grinding, the longest part is finding good teammates for the strats and sometimes losing matches because some teammates dont know the strat
Another tip: don’t have any friends? joining the TDS discord will have a section called “party queue” that will let you join other people who are also doing strategies.

Hey corso I loved this vid but I have a suggestion for a vid: you should make a tower purchasing roadmap (the order in which players should buy towers and which towers players should avoid). This would help out players from early game to early-late game. I hope to see this video soon :D
I think turret is not op as it used to be. It used to be a S tier tower but now its like low A tier bc of placement limit
But the placement limit has stayed the same since 2019, and it got buffed to do way more damage but cost more in like 2023

It is still secretly good for the event maps that never return. Especially act III Lunar Overture, because they let you pack the most cash into the smallest space to get DJ and Commander buff, and aside from that its range covered nearly the whole map
I feel like you should mention other strategies in this..perhaps people think the strats are way too grindy?
As someone who is level 100 and doesn't own any hardcore towers, yeah this is pretty neat.

Actually rather than the lucille strategy, leaving an autoclicker to autoskip in hardcore and getting to wave 7 every 1 minute and 17 seconds then restarting gives 2 gems a minute so you can leave it on over night and get the brawler

dont know if this is against tds rules or not but if u just afk unknown gardens hc overnight you get like 2k gems and you gain heaps of levels too but thats how i got to lvl 200 and all the hc towers without beating hardcore once
