Saul Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - The story so far:
Billy Joe "Superb" Saunders has often been identified as the only boxer who could possibly dethrone Canelo Saul Alvarez. Saunders is known to have a slick and fluid style, whom some have compared to the likes of Floyd Mayweather, which in the past has proven to be Canelo's only weakness. in addition to his unbeaten record, Saunders will put his WBO Super Middleweight title on the line in an effort to prove that he can live up to his potential.
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has Won world titles across four separate weight classes. He has it all, the speed, skill, movement and knockout power. Amongst the likes of Anthony Joshua, Canelo is widely accepted to be the face of boxing. He has been fighting at a professional level since the age of 15, with only one defeat coming from Floyd Mayweather. Canelo puts everything on the line for this fight. Although his robust record makes him the favourite to win, he will need to prove that he can defeat, what some would call, his "bogeyman" - Billy Joe Saunders.

No axe to grind with BJS but he will get sparked. People blowing smoke up his ass sayin he is elite and he believes it. He's very good against a certain level (no disrespect) but he isnt elite. Plus his inactivity in the ring will see his timing all over the place. I think he will get knocked out and i think between rounds 8 and 10. Oh and i wish he (and his dad now) would stop going on about the judges. Seems like he is getting his excuses in early. He has his shot so get on with it.

Billy joe is a awkward southpaw, pure slick boxer in his prime with a gypsy mentality. Canelo is no doubt a quality elite boxer and if not the best .. one of the best boxers today.. however he has lost already officially. Yes he has came leaps and bounds however in a fighters world losing is not great. Also the fact let’s be real.. canelo should also have another loss on his record. GGG was robbed in the first fight. ( some say second fight too, I personally thought it was very close and you could make a case for either fighter depends how you score a round ) so it proves canelo can be beat. Any boxing fan who follows boxing should be able to tell that on his A game billy joe is capable, however not an easy night. Nobody is talking about a clear win. But billy joe can match canelo for sure

Power does not bother Canelo Alvarez at all; what bothers the Mexican is speed and switching angles constantly, not staying in front of him slugging it out. Keeping the distance is key. You saw it when he fought Floyd Mayweather and Erislanday Lara. The problem with this is that this safety-first style is hard to master for 12 consecutive rounds. I don't see any scenario where B.J. SAUNDERS puts Canelo Alvarez in jeopardy.
@@koyosu Canelo is good at closing the gap; however, I don't think B.J. will go from rope to rope as Callum Smith did, but you are right. The body shots will be a key factor to slow down B.J. SAUNDERS and, consequently, CANELO will be able to stop him...
Canelo and Billy are equally fast and skillful. Canelo just hits harder and his stronger. Billy has to have the perfect game plan to be able to beat him.
Ever since his fight with Mayweather, his style and technique has been the stuff of legends. Canelo himself has even commented that he views his fight with Mayweather as a lesson and a turning point for him. He has perfected his style ever since then and he is on the path to be the greatest ever. Goes to show you a loss does not mean anything if it transforms you to be the best ever.
Oh and for those GGG fans, dont get me wrong... i still think there needs to be a Canelo v GGG 3 cuz cmon.. we all know its 1w to 1w each. I love Canelo, but GGG got that first fight (cant change my mind on that) and Canelo took the 2nd. But in all honesty, GGG might be done, Canelo got two huge wins with Kovalev and Callum.. so..
