Being a police officer is a very stressful job so it takes a specific type of individual to be able to handle that type of stress, the problem I see is that you got everybody in a mama wanting to be police officers. Also he’s inside his vehicle , therefor legally he wouldn’t need a permit endless he exits the vehicle with it on assuming that area he did need permit so that cop should’ve known the basic law that if you own a firearm you don’t need a permit to carry if in home , vehicle , or your business…That’s actually law in every state . Plus he never exited his vehicle therefor the cop would need to prove that he had that vest and gun on before entering his vehicle assuming he didn’t have it on when leaving his property. Therefor , assuming he did need a permit to open carry but he didn’t , that cop didn’t have probable cause to ask for such permit , no probable cause he could’ve put it on inside vehicle while driving easy access to firearm if needed be , and takes it off when exiting vehicle . The laws are too varied to use "usually, or all" regarding that type of thing. Been through and to, too many states in the past several years.. And the various laws are irritating.
I again advise everyone, do NOT engage in a dialogue with the police during a stop. You never know what will set them off. Also, do NOT answer any non essential questions.

The lady cop on the driver side is very kind of unprofessional because just because she doesn't know of a law that's common she's treating him as if he's wrong because of what she doesn't know . She might want to stop before she costs her precinct a big fine and get her fired so she needs to be less aggressive especially when they ran his info and everything came back clear. They were just intimidated and gave him a little hassle. If he wants he can file a report because the passenger cop immediately said she knows who he is and his profession and the male cop knew the driver as well and if he was a threat why would the male cop give him dap showing body language that clearly showed the driver was no threat. Yeah that female cop from the driver side needs a little more training on how to not come off as aggressive because we are all just trying to be short and simple at any traffic stop 😂 but she had some extra aggressive energy about her and needs more training before becoming a bad egg.
