Check out the official trailer below: This appears to be the planet Daiyu mentioned in previews, described in Entertainment Weekly as “edgy” and “like Hong Kong” which... remains to be seen how that plays out, given Star Wars’ particular, and often peculiar, relationship with embracing aspects of Asian culture in its mythology. We know Obi-Wan goes there, don’t know why, but it’s clear the Inquisitors find a way to follow him.

First thing i did was pop to IMDB to see if there was a listing for Satine Kryze. There are several actors without character names there, so it very well could be (and almost HAS to be, since she was the only love interest we know of for Obi-Wan)

@@Furblesnert there’s actually been multiple love interests for Obi-Wan in Legends. One of them is actually canon now, she was in a video game, her name is Siri Tachi. She’s actually a really interesting character and in fact another Jedi.
People ask me why Obi-Wan is my favorite star wars character. It's because after everything he remains unbroken. All he has endured and still he stays true to the way of the jedi. Can't wait for this to come out. I'm sure it will be an emotional roller-coaster

Obi Wan was my favorite because when he fought maul, he was a PADAWAN. From my childhood mind, the fact that we saw what obi Wan wS capable of when he gets mad and goes on the offensive was amazing to see. And from then on, not only was my favorite color blue, but I truly thought Obi Wan was the strongest jedi to ever live and he was truly unbeatable.
Actually my understanding is that this Obi-Wan is broken and disillusioned. My feeling is that this story line is going to lead him back to hope which will tie in nicely with rebels. There a line in rebels we're he tells Maul "look what I've risen above".
I think this story line will be him getting to that point.

As like in Rogue One when the main characters fulfill their purpose they’re killed off. They had to die to force Luke off Tattoone. It was the Will of the Force.

If you watch the Star Wars episode of cops, at the end they go to Luke’s house and one of the stormtroopers runs up saying they need to get their flamethrowers and orders just came in. After that, I always thought it was just stormtroopers lol. But that’s cool to know it was Boba.
I love how they are building up Vader, out of the trailers but his presense can be felt everywhere, he's like a force of nature "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE HIM"

Its taken decades, but whats so incredible now is that the technology in filmmaking has goten to the point where a mini-series has actually surpassed the quality of the sort of feature films that this tale had started with including the prequels.
This mini-series cost more than the Phantom Menace though ($25M/episode vs $115M)

I just saw part 1 and 2.. it was awesome, it had so much in their and did a good job of telling Kenobi's story with some new twists and turns that was handled good and wove a good story, I won't ruin it till people see it but its worth the watch and can't wait to see the remaining episodes

I'm still skeptical if were going to ultimately only see about 2 minutes of Darth Vader in the entire series lol. I really hope I am wrong and we see Vader throughout the whole series and actually see him using his skills as the ultimate bad ass Jedi that he is. We probably wont tho sadly enough. We have still yet to truly see these dark side Jedis truly fight throughout an entire movie or series and I'm not talking about animated.
Hayden is apparently in this show so I'd be surprised to only see a little bit of him
@@jeffw773 I hope you're right with Disney's 6 episode philosophy with these series. I honestly think Hayden will only play a few cameo roles in a few of the episodes as remembrances of the past. I really really really hope I am wrong in this. It's just that all the previews don't really show him except in recollections and when he's donning his suit which happened in the end of Episode 3, I sort of seeing something like that in this series. I really hope I am wrong tho I really do because I am sick of being disappointed by Disney and their spin offs. The only one I absolutely loved and thought was masterful was The Mandalorian.
They need to do a Dark Side series. Either in feature films or series. They need to focus on the Sith now. Bring balance to The Force.

I assume he will have a small but impactful part in this series since this is mostly about Obi-Wan. I'm pretty optimistic that this series will lead right into a Vader one though.
I wouldn't be disappointed if there's no lightsaber battle between Obi Wan and Darth Vader but if they do battle, it would not only be a huge bonus but it would be EPIC!! I want to see another lightsaber battle between these two bad ass characters.

Maybe they will, but it is sort of going against the lore. Which we know Disney has no problem with. But the huge part of the duel in Episode IV was that Vader and Obi-Wan have not met face to face since Mustafar. If they did, no chance Obi-Wan would be able to hide - if they met, one of them would have died, or at least Vader would have Obi-Wan followed. The sole reason he managed to escape after Mustafar was because there was no one except Anakin (and droids) there, and Anakin was unable to follow him (for objective reasons). He went to Tatooine and stayed there. If Vader came anywhere close, he'd sense him. Just like they did on the Death Star.
So, for the lore reasons, I hope they never meet.
And Inquisitors are quite bad-ass themselves and should provide quite a challenge for Obi-Wan. There is no need to have Vader here (except for some far away scenes and exposition) because while people like seeing him, it would create a bunch of plot holes.

0:20 That was 100% deserved and I’m honestly looking forward to seeing what kind of characters Owen and Beru turn out to be plus I’m also guessing that Owen thinks Anakin is dead. I’m actually on Owens side here anyway because Obi-Wan is very manipulative of Luke eventually as we see in Episode IV.
I will reserve judgement about the new female character until I see the show but I hope they don’t use her to plow over Vader. It’s likely they only did this because they’re hiding him from the trailers but damn. We don’t need another Rey.

@@jermaineb4892 so you categorize me as an OT fan, I'll correct you there. I'm a Star Wars fan, love most of it, severely dislike the story arc (or should I say lack of story arc) of the Disney Trilogy. There is almost zero character development, and the majority of the development is poorly executed. And the handling of some of the characters is very poorly done (and I will point out that the characters that were handled poorly were male, the female characters are shining examples of everything a person could be and more). If you disagree then you didn't watch the movies objectively.
Rey wasn't the LEAD character. She was one of the main characters. If anyone was the lead it would be Kylo Renn, his story and growth as a character is what ultimately leads to the defeat of the emperor.
Maybe you should take some time to actually listen to the criticism of the characters before you kickstart your "you hate women" rhetoric. Actually look at the arguments put forth by people and pretend for just a second that the character that is being complained about is male if that helps. Anything to dislodge your white knight tendencies to immediately defend female characters (which is in itself sexist).
Also, learn a new word other than "triggered". I don't think you understand what that word actually means, and I feel you use it in an inflammatory way. Are we adults here, or children?
And no one is worried that a strong female character is going to outshine Vader. The complaint is that the story is probably going to revolve around Reva, who just happens to be female. Coincidence?
I bet you that in the finale Ahsoka or some other FEMALE jedi will have to save Kenobi from Reva. Reva will have some come to Jesus moment due to what the other jedi tells her, she'll report her failure to Vader and he will kill her. So the story is more about her than Kenobi, and Vader will be in the show for a total of 7 minutes or so.
I mean, you do realize that there's a good chunk of the anti-Rey sentiment that is coming from women, right? Or do you just think they are brainwashed by the patriarchy?

I'm still extremely concerned about how Obi Wan interacts with the world and the inquisitors. If they can profile him JUST ONCE then Vader would be glued to finding and defeating him above all else.
Hell, even old Palp himself would probably push him to focus upon it.
If Vader can have enough interest in as little as Ghost team to the degree he did when they were a bunch of nobodies on Lothal then surely he'd be frothing at the mouth to deal with Obi Wan. To have Vader defeat Anakin's old master would be the number one priority going forward.
How can Obi wan make his presence known at all without endangering Luke and his entire life's work at this point?
Just him leaving Luke alone is hard to understand.
But to be risking getting captured off world is risking Luke's own identity and life.
Furthermore, Obi Wan also risking his own life is also running the risk that Luke will never be taught about the Jedi. Hell, he'd ironically probably end up joining the imperial academy as a pilot like he always wanted.
Obi Wan is so pivotal to the prophecy that I just can't string together how he interacts with the world outside of being a sad lonely hermit and nothing else beyond that.
He is gonna have to be on the brink of complete mental collapse and go through extremely high levels of stress, pain and anxiety in having to somehow hide his identity, face his past trauma, likely confront a new present threat and above all else - protect the chosen one.
The situation that leads him to endanger absolutely everything (the entire galaxy's fate) is gonna have to be of the most upmost importance.

If its him - I don't know how you can write that intelligently without him being utterly screwed.
And if they're hunting another. Then why would he get involved at all? That's beyond foolhardy considering his importance.
Assuming its helping a runaway jedi who needs help... I'm sorry but I do not understand that.
If they are going to do this then they at the very least must display Obi Wans emotion being on the brink of snapping - how couldn't he be? He'd have to show complete furious anger toward this other figure for putting him in this position as well as sympathy for what they're going through. Do you see the amount of stuff ol Ben is having to juggle if this is the plot they're gonna go with? It's insane.
Again - you must go full focus on his emotion. If its avoided and its just another colourful wacky adventure... man, I cant.
Its weird, I'm exited, and yet, terribly worried about this shows plot.
Sounds silly but this show Is honestly what marks Star Wars as make of break for me.

This series really felt like a tv show, and not in a good way. Already a "strong independent black lesbian" taking the lead, the woke is strong in this one....yet again. The forest chase scene with Leia had me laughing so bad. A bunch of hired kidnappers outrun by a tiny 10 year old girl, sure.
2 episodes in, and already lost faith in this.

I just watched the first 2 episodes and it is almost an all black cast.
The black female lead is horrible. No acting talent, but then again, diversity and inclusivity is the downfall of anything pure.
