my father loved saab's, he had a 96 first a two stroke than a v4, then a 99 and finally a 900 gls when i was a kid, my first car was a 83 900 fastback like this one, i think it was a gli, auto with a console between the front seats and the newer steering wheel. and a swamp spoiler on the back and a little front chin spoiler as well
One of the most beautiful colors I have ever seen. I have never liked orange color cars before, but the way they've incorporated the color into the cloth seats and the orange/black contrast of the exterior is excellent.
Very rare nice car, good preserved despite the poor build quality of those years (especially in the Arlov factory). The colour is'nt orange but chamotte brown. It seems that she has been partially resprayed.
No respray - completely original ! And I have to disagree partially with the Arlov comment as I've owned four Arlov built Saabs and they have been more rust-proof and structurally sound than anything else I've bought, owned or restored - especially the baby-blue coloured cars from 1984 - never see one with rust problems comparable to ones built in Sweden

I also have owned a 900 with automatic gearbox. And later a 5 speed, that never made me forget the automatic.
My first 900 was an automatic - high Revs but still a great ride !
