SoloShot 3+ Test & Review

Recently got my SoloShot 3+ upgrade back from the company. Wanted to post a review of the new SoloShot because I've used the 3 extensively and the new 3+ is a big improvement. I also wanted to post this because I saw another video on CZcams reviewing the camera, but I noticed the fellas in that video had a damaged product.
It took some time for the company to take my 3 and upgrade it to the 3+, but when I got it back I was very pleased. Easier and faster setup, and tracking is more consistent and accurate. So far I'm about 20 sessions in on this thing and it's working much better than the OG SS3.

Yea, I've been using the OG SS3 for years so I spotted the error/damage in the review immediately...the camera should not be able to spin like that. It's internally held and driven by gears and belts so it doesn't spin unless the motor moves the belts. Looks to me like a belt came off the gear or something like that.

I am one of many that sent old unit in for upgrade and the company went silent. No returned product, people paid and have been waiting 5 months now. If you dont want to loose your old ss3 or money, do not buy ss3+ or send in old unit. You may never hear from Soloshot again.

I remember when I pre-purchased the original SS3. Took months and kept getting delayed but it eventually came. There were a lot of hiccups with production etc. I'm currently waiting for another novel product from a different company that has now been delayed over a year. It'll come but there's just a lot of stuff in the manufacturing process that goes beyond the control of any one single person. Sorry to hear your taste for the company was soured, but this is the only product out there like it. It must not be easy to produce if there still isn't a competitor after all these years.

Thanks for this mate. I'd say that's a win (on both the Soloshot 3+ and the surf!) Could you do us a favour and report back after say, 20-30 different surfs? I'm waiting to see how the thing stands up over time before pulling the pin on one myself. Cheers!
