Decents sounds. I used to own a Korg X2 synth (the rarer extended keyboard version of the X3) and always regretted selling it.

CR24xx is still around, but yes CR2032 is definitely a cell that is common and fits. The last one is a lithium thionyl cell, 2/3A size, available from RS and such to order, though best, seeing as it is PCB mounted, to remove it, and replace with a CR2032 button cell socket instead, as a 25 year old one is at about the age where they finally start to leak, though I have had them last 20 years past expiry, only finally becoming useless as internal resistance went over the 1M mark. They still would deliver 3V into 10M, and with a 1000uF 25V capacitor you could use them still for loads that were otherwise low power, but still needed the odd 10mA current pulse. It ran a chime mech for a clock for around 3 years, before it would no longer provide power to drive the speaker. This was a cell that had expired in 1990, and was a decade or so past expiry.

Thanks for that, interesting comment. As I am going to donate all three at some point, I won't change the thionyl cell just yet but thanks for the help

Looking forward to seeing your redundant equipment, I’ve recently been up the loft and revived cubase on windows xp and am enjoying finding midi modules to play and sequence
