    These kinds of videos are very interesting and valuable. I feel that way too often, the news media glorifies Amazon because their salaries for white-collar/software workers are insanely high but they neglect the folks in the warehouse as well as the drivers who break their backs making sure that things run smoothly. The reality is that not everyone is a corporate/tech worker and that blue-collar workers matter too. Thanks for sharing your experience brother.

    As a transit driver, waiting for a route was called "extra board". If someone didn't show up, we did their route. If a bus broke down, we had to go "rescue" them with another bus &/or do their route if they were sick, and maybe work until 10pm or later. I quit my last transit job, because after a 10 hour pm straight, & being totally fatigued, as it was after 10pm, they pulled a random drug on me. Funny, the only facility to test was about 20 miles away & the only one open, in all of phoenix. I gave them a "johnny paycheck" on the spot & walked out.

    1: Getting a guaranteed $15 an hour with guaranteed 10 hours was so clutch my first year, then they gave us a rAiSe to $16.50 BUTTT no more guaranteed 10 hours😡
    2: PEOPLE WHO ORDER THEIR ASSES OFF EVERY DAY NEED TO PUT THEIR DOGS AWAY!!!!
    3: DSP’s show hella favoritism keeping the same drivers in the easy areas while the hard workings have to stay in the bumfuck country or a downtown area, which BOTH ARE ASSSS😡
    4: I didn’t know we have to do 200 stops a damn day!! And if you have a small amount of stops, guess what, you’re in the middle of NOWHERE country areas.
    5: They will expect you to deliver in the WORST thunder storms, but when you’re exhausted ass gets back to turn the van and totes in, if it’s still storming they’ll make you sit in the van up to 40 damn minutes bc it’s “nOt sAfE bc of lightening”
    6: customers RARELY answer the damn phone to help you find their crazy ass location.
    7: I never knew people couple CHOOSE to live in the most ridiculous places, the van can barely drive to, and driver can’t even find!
    8: when it’s fall/winter, I hope you can see in the PITCH BLACK, bc you WILL be out there tripping over shit in yards bc you can’t see ANYTHING.
    9: Some people make the job so worth it by offering bottles of water in the hot as hell summer, like this summer, while OTHER rude ass customers make you want to spit on their package and driver on their lawn to mess it up😡🙄
    10: Last but NOT least... IRONICALLY, people who live in the easy areas usually leave notes we can see on the gps device to help us find it easier, even though we don’t need it for their area, and guess what.. the people in the craziest damn apartments or in the middle of NOWHERE country RARELY leave nots to help us find the drop spot😡like a silent “screw you, good luck”

Yesterday was my first day at amazon delivery and I thought as well that all the bathrooms and shit are gonna be difficult to use since the COVID pandemic. So brought a Gatorade bottle with me to piss on haha. 😭😂 Job is not easy . I doubt I’ll stay here long. I’m in Sacramento Ca. And the new warehouse here is all fucked up with lack of communication etc. came to work fuckin clueless and had to learn everything on my own. Job is trash. Definitely not worth the money . It's so funny hearing Amazon drivers complain about driving 10-12 hrs a day. You're average Truck Driver drive those hours daily 70 hrs a week away from home and don't get to see their family for weeks at a time. Yet Amazon drivers complain about a 40-45 hr work week's and only work 4-5 days a week

    • @ToddRogers00
      @ToddRogers00 Před rokem +2

      Those truck drivers make 70k on the low end. High end Amazon drivers make half that on the high end! Work to pay ratio at Amazon is GROSSLY skewed and the fact Bezos is one the worlds richest people should let you know that.
