Maru was spitting straight facts starting at 1:01:30. As a black woman, I will feel highly uncomfortable dating someone who hasnt dated someone who looks like me. It would literally get in my head on, their intentions towards me and why they are dating me, if they’re even attracted to me, because if i dont look or have a general likeness like any of your past relationships, wtf are you doing w me. To me its fishy, and I’m very glad and proud that Maru articulated that so well. Lmao she literally had me, screaming in my head “THANK YOU!!!” after every point she made about it lmao.
Also brings the point on that I dont want my partner to go for someone who looks EXACTLY like me, cause thats fucking weird but, I believe its so different for POC because it can only go so far. 🤷🏾♀️

@@RehVeLaTioN Even though I agree with her point and overall I do like her, I agree it's hard when she's stubborn to the point that everyone else feels scared to make other points/play devils advocate or just unable to make it into a discussion, especially since it's a podcast. Like maybe with serious topics like racism, sa etc there's a right and a wrong, but I feel like with things less serious it's fine to say whatever and if needs be prove opposing points wrong non aggressively and come to a specific conclusion.
