    Everyone is a critic yet they have no CZcams channel to showcase their skillset. I admire your use of old parts and your knowledge of inverter construction. I live in SE Asia and am familiar with these split units when they installed the one in my bedroom the guy that did it is a friend of my wife so he answered all my questions (where most techs are get in get out and avoid the farang at all costs) on the AC side we had an inrush current of 9 amps (1900 watts / 220V) after startup we had a constant current draw of 5 amps. I didn't see the fall off after the inrush current...

    Next time make mini air-conditioning drown 3 amps each for around 33 pices and run them with solar and batteries....Good luck

    from this video we can learn that single battery can run but need more amp draw.if someone want to run AC need to use biggest battery (48v) to make low amp draw for safety.high current mean high temperature can make cable burn or home burn

    yes, it works, I use the same inverter, deep recycle battery, 9000btu inverter air con. set the air con at 27 c degree. I can enjoy the air con in my van for at least 2.5 hour per charge.

    Thank you for your brother’s experience.. Notes First, additional batteries must be made to help the load.. Secondly, the speed of the air conditioner must be set at a lower limit of 30, not 16 or 20. It will pull a large load.. The best is to set its speed to 30 29 only and make extra batteries so that the load is completely proportional and not forgotten Solar panels if you have them will also help in the work 🙏 ☺⚘

    Those wires coming off the battery should be a smaller gage (larger wire) if they are drawing 100amps.

    Around 1280 watt of power is being drawn From the battery. That's crazy 🤣 . You need approximately 9 batteries of this kind to fun ac for 1 hour

      150Ax1hr @constant voltage i.e 1800Wh energy it should supply ideally..in this case 115A x 10.5 so the actual power consumption is 1207.5 watt which lasts more than 1hr possibly.

    I wonder if you can bypass the high side section of an inverter type AC and connect battery directly to low side inside the ac unit. It most likely will be 12v and possibly 5 v or 3v. Can create from DC to DC converter. Not sure what voktages the compressor runs on in new ac type.

    Hi, please make a video of converting an old power invertor to a solar invertor using the charging system of the same invertor, as well as a inverter (it should be a charge controller come invertor) for this i think we don't need to use the big power transformer i thin. so the grid AC plug is to be disconnected.     There is switch for limit of max current in inverter A/C. Read service manual and look for a small dip switch in an outdoor unit. Maybe it will help you. Greetings from Czech republic. ;-D

    Mr electron. Have you considered using high discharge capacitor bank to help protect the battery and inverter and spread the start up load?

      You can see on the meter that the amperage slowly ramps up. There is no huge amp surge. What is needed is a constant energy input from say, a solar panel or wind turbine. Putting in a constant 50 amps at 12v would allow the A/C to work.... depending on the duty cycle you ask of it.
      Also, 12.6v is normal for a lead acid battery once any load at all is applied. Anything higher will be a float voltage.

    Bro you are running the airconditioner at 28 degree Celsius and still its drawing 100A so what would it take to run the AC with its temp set to let's say 22 degree Celsius? Also it would be worth if you can specify Airconditioner efficiency rating and whether it's inverter or non inverter type

      Good question. At maximum power , it will draw around 180 Amperes. Its an inverter AC.
      I like 26 degrees in my room so it will work.
      For maximum power operation, 3 batteries are recommended and obviously a bigger inverter ( 3000 W ).
      This method is applicable only on inverter ACs

      @@MrElectron You do know that a battery takes damage if its discharged over less than 4 hours right? Your 150AH battery can dischage 30A, or up to just under 40A if its for a short while. 30A at 12V is only 360W.

    Lead-Acid batteries can handle current around 25% of their capacity, so for 100A you will need at least 400Ah batteries and they still won't last long enough.
    You really need Lithium batteries to run AC reliably. Lithium batteries can handle current as high as their capacity (a 100Ah battery can handle 100A load)

    in principle the idea is good...however, the technology of AC systems (and any other heating or cooling appliances) need to be further evolved so that to not draw so much power

    Hi,
    Nice Video.
    What I recommend is that you could make your room into a microgrid by connecting the solar panel you previously got and connect it to the Smarten MPPT charge controller that you have and connect the solar panel and MPPT controller to the battery.
    You can keep this existing system also in place to charge the system in case of low solar input.
    You can also connect the cycle generator to this battery.
    Last but not the least, you can also connect a wind turbine to charge the battery.
    These steps can help you make the setup into a microgrid

    So I’m looking to go solar but i was wondering what it would take in watts,amps,kWh, for me to run (fridge, tv,ac, electric heater, electric stove, washer and dryer, lights, hot water heater, water well, and starlink as well as the possibility for a Tesla down the road?) (i was thinking of getting 20-315w solor panels and 7 or so 100AH liFepo 12v batteries)(i will definitely get more if needed and I don’t want to use anything other than electricity) please let me know what y’all think i need!

      If you go off grid.
      You go to a 48 volt systeem.
      Than you have from victron inverter up to 6000 watts with beult in solar mppt.
      Its 230 volt base .
      Bu if you go off grid you need about 20Kwh battery and you need solar panels that can fill this in 5/6 hours .
      And that is in the summer .

    charging and discharging current shouldn't accede more than 20% of total AH of battery. its safe limit. so you shouldn't draw 30 to 40 amperes from this battery

    Taking a 0.2C recommended safe operating current for each lead acid battery, you will require at least 4 batteries in parallel to run the AC.

    Power (in watts) = Voltage (in volts) * Current (in amperes)
    First, convert the 100A load on the 12V battery to watts:
    Power (in watts) = 12V * 100A
    Power = 1200 watts
    Now, since power (watts) is equal to voltage (volts) multiplied by current (amperes), you can rearrange the equation to solve for current:
    Current (in amperes) = Power (in watts) / Voltage (in volts)
    Let's plug in the values:
    Current (in amperes) = 1200 watts / 220V
    Current ≈ 5.45 amperes
    Therefore, if you have a 100A load on a 12V battery, the equivalent load on a 220V circuit would be approximately 5.45 amperes or 5.45A.
    Power (in watts) = Voltage (in volts) * Current (in amperes)
    Plugging in the values:
    Power (in watts) = 220V * 5.45A
    Power ≈ 1199 watts
    Therefore, the load on a 220V circuit with a current of 5.45 amperes is approximately 1199 watts.

    if you put the charger/inverter setup in another room, the ac doesn't have to work as hard to NEGATE all of that HEAT. Also don't put your fridge in the same room as the AC. Keep it isolated.

    The battery voltage dropped due to the internal resistance of the battery. Going from an unloaded to loaded condition will always do this with chemical batteries of these types.
